Carilius recognises the uniforms worn as those belonging to the Xanathar Guild, a criminal enterprise based in Skullport. They often charge for safe passage through check points of the undermountain.
The Guild is ruled over by The Xanathar, a Beholder of great age and power.
Carilius steps forwards out of the shadows, swing his sword with a confident swagger, whistling as if he hadn’t seen the bugbears Gentleman, what a fine surprise it is to bump in to fellow members of the craft, in fact you might be able to help me, I seem to have misplaced a fellow, goes by the name Kressando, haven't by chance seen him have you?

Had to give ‘Im some of the gobbos to try and get ‘im down to the boss as the letter sed.” They turn back to Carilius. “Fellas long gone from ‘ere mate. It’ll cost either 100Gold t’follow or you’se could do is a favour? Whit ‘is twattishness needin a proper escort we are understaffed at the moment. There’s a bunch o squishy bandits on this floor who’re trying to squeeze in on our business. You evict them on a permanent basis fer us and we’ll waive the fee for you and yer mates. Howzzat sound?”

“Yeah! You and anyone who helps ya is able to come by wivout having to pay. Means we can concentrate on clearing the tunnels east of here too. More’n a few grick nests in them tunnels. Makes it bad fer business if ye overlanders keep dying on us”
