Carilius removes his hand from the sword and turns to the others. There’s a popping noise and the sword appears back in his hand. This happens a few times as he tries to drop or sheath it. Sig walks forwards and frowns. “Looks like it’s cursed. Hang on I have something for that.” He mutters a prayer to Talos and places his hand on the sword. He casts Remove Curse. “That should do it. Try putting it away now.”
Returning to the demon chamber the stairs descend 10 feet to a room lined with pillars, where you saw the shadows lurking. Similar staircases descend into the room from 10-foot-wide tunnels leading north, west, and south. You know that the corridor north passes the room that held the sword. The skeleton of a giant constrictor snake coils up the top half of the northernmost pillar. The snake skeleton is harmless and falls apart if disturbed, clattering loudly as it hits the floor.
The words “Certain death this way!” are carved in Common on the southeast wall, with an arrow pointing toward the southern exit.
After a short discussion you decide to investigate the direction that the bugbear shadows left in. You head west along the stone corridor, the ghostly white glow from Sig’s axe the only illumination you have. You enter a hall with sixteen niches cut into the walls. It looks like there are 10ft tall mirrors at the back of each recess. Carilius, who still has detect magic running, notices a faint magical aura around five of the mirrors
Approaching the first of the glowing mirrors you discover that the glass is illusory, hiding a shelf behind it. On the shelf is a bronze mask in the likeness of a bearded wizard
Jhee-Khar approaches the next two identified by Carilius, the shelves behind the false mirrors are empty. Sig places the mask in his backpack while this happens. The final two mirrors are opposite each other and as Jhee-Khar peers into one his reflections from the two mirrors move of their own volition and climb out of the glass. Roll for initiative
Well, that light will come in handy I’m sure Carilius places the sword in a sheath

There doesn’t appear to be anything else of interest in the room.
Thank you my friend, that could have been very awkward indeed Carilius once again sheaths the longsword

Hmmm. Certain death, eh? How did they write this then? I'm not convinced.

Approaching the first of the glowing mirrors you discover that the glass is illusory, hiding a shelf behind it. On the shelf is a bronze mask in the likeness of a bearded wizard
Sig walks over and has a closer looks at the mask. “Doesn’t seem to be magical, still gotta be worth at least 50 gold”
Well if they've gone to such effort to hide away something rather mundane, hopefully there's something at least as valuable in the others
