(Ouch, those die rolls are pretty bad. Luckily, you don’t need to roll for this one).
Zee quickly searches the room for anything out of place, which he quickly finds. The captured provisions are marked with the symbol of a blue lion- marking them as belonging to the Lionshield Coster, a prominent merchant company in Athetome. At the foot of Klarg’s throne of crates, he spots a wooden treasure chest. Behind the throne, he finds also two bundles of equipment. One seems to belong to Sharloon, as there is no armor and only a variety of simple weapons. The other contains the armor Sildar had been wearing in the tavern, along with a number of martial weapons. Interestingly, there is also a sealed letter found packed within the breastplate.

Astounded at the speed and efficiency of the group's violence, Sharloon wiped down and cleaned the edges of his staff on Klarg's mated hair.
"Well done, all, he intoned quietly to the group. As several members began to bind the goblins and search the room Sharloon started to make towards the other passage. His reptilian eyes narrowed to slits as he stared out trying to find any trace of the woman. "I know..." he muttered over his shoulder. "It certainly did. Far more impressive than I'd have thought too."
When Zee found the bundles with his weapons, Sharloon walked over and knelt near the bundle. "Things are just things...but sometimes having ones own things is a comfort. Despite what you say..." he pronounced to the air in the far corner of the room. Then, reclaiming his gear, Sharloon moved to take position near the opening. Feeling energized and now again fully geared, the dragonborn placed himself as sentry near the path to the rest of the Goblin den.
OOC:
Sharloon will guard the entry area to the chamber. Perception7 He will hold action with his staff. If anyone approaches I will call out to them. If they answer I'll call for them to get Yeemik. If they approach in a hostile manner...bust heads on the first armed combatant that enters.
Jeb and Sharloon take up spots at the den’s entrance, while Murmen and Arikon take positions near the tied goblins. Murmen looks around, but the woman could be anywhere. Most likely, she already ran out of the cave. Zee quickly tears open the envelope. Along with the royal seal, the letter is signed by the Queen of Athetome herself! Though he figures out it was addressed to Sildar, Zee doesn’t make much of the complex Elvish script.
The footsteps get closer. Then, Yeemik’s familiar face peeks out, smiling as if he was meeting old friends. Two heavily scarred goblins accompany him- his trusted lieutenants, who along with Yeemik wield crude swords. Behind them come three more goblins carrying short bows. And in the shadows in the distance, Jeb and Sharloon can see even more goblins who are unarmed. All of the inhabitants of the cave seem to have been assembled by Yeemik.
Yeemik glances into the den and jumps with glee as he sees Klarg’s corpse and empty throne. “Yes! The tyrant is dead. Thanks to you, Yeemik is leader now!”
Yeemik beams as you hear whispers among the other goblins. After seeing Klarg dead, they have no choice but to accept his authority.
“We had a deal, didn’t we?” Yeemik snap his fingers, and Sildar Hallwinter is dragged out. He is stripped half-naked, bruises all over his body. The goblins seem to have beaten him to the brink of death. Suddenly, Yeemik holds his sword across Sildar’s throat.
“However, a new leader requires many things to become more...legitimate? You can have this human back, for a price.” Yeemik points at the two captured goblins. “You’ve captured four of us total. Return them to us. But I need more. I will hand this man back to you for 50 gold pieces.
Yeemik’s face turns dark as he grins, revealing his chipped canines. “It’s a small price for a life. You can afford it. No one needs to die here. Just hand over the money, and you can be on your way.”
Sildar stares at Jeb, but he doesn’t seem scared at all. Instead he mouths out: “Chest! Check the chest!”
Yeemik waits patiently for your response, his confidence boosted by his large retinue. What do you do?

Arikon had always expected that Yeemik would betray them at the first oppprtunity and so it came as no surprise when he uttered his demands. 'This little creature will pay for his insolence.', promised himself. For the moment they found themselves in an unenviable position, basically trapped inside the cave. The only way out was back through the shaft and for all they knew, even this way could have been under guard by now. "Those little bastards!", he muttered angrily. "No one need to die here eh? I am of a mind to mount his head on a spike right now." The needed a plan or some leverage to negotiate from a stronger position. If they gave Yeemik an inch he would take a whole mile, the young sorcerer was certain.
“Backstab? No, this is not a backstab, simply an extra fee for the information I have offered you.” He points at Klarg’s corpse.
“You were able to defeat him with nary a scratch, eh? Come on. I don’t want a fight, and neither do you. Hand over the money, and we can go on with our lives.”

Hearing Yeemik, Arikon moved closer towards the steps to the other room. "Look Yeemik. You are a smart goblin. You know that we can't just give you 50 gold pieces. Send Sildar over to us, we need to examine him before we can agree to anything.", he paused before continuing. "You have us basically trapped in here, a show of goodwill would go a long way to make this deal happen and avoid further bloodshed."
(Persuasion9 +5 + Inspiration 2rememberd the inspiration rule incorrectly ... forgot its adavntage on the roll which would be 22)
See goes to the chest and looks to see if there is a bag of gold with intent to give it over. They had another person to save and goods to deliver, plus See kinda liked Yeemik. The goblin was smart, crafty, and Zee's favorite, tricky.
As Yemik pulls his sword to Sildar's neck Jeb reaches out with his mind once more to twist Fate about Yemik.
<I know we're out of combat; but I figure I still need to note the below.>
Jeb moves Hex from Klarg to Yemik and applies disadvantage to his Charisma checks. Jeb then casts Prestidigitation to burn away <Clean> Klarg and Ripper's blood from his drawn rapier as he stares out at the gathered goblinoids.
<Jeb is working to build up doubt in the minds of the Yemik's followers about the wisdom of Yemik's attempt to manipulate the party of powerful adventurers that just slew the big bad Klarg in two breaths time. Thus the subtle non-threatening action that demonstrates both the physical proof of the slaying, the bloody rapier, and mystical power to not just clean the rapier; but do it in a manner that is itself somewhat menacing.>

With Jeb and Arikon both conversing and dealing with Yeemik, Sharloon kept his position on guard against the opening. As he hadn’t said or done anything thus far to draw attention to himself, he simply scanned the group from the shadows just beyond the edge and waited with weapon at the ready to see what Yeemik would do...
OOC: Sharloon will try and stay back and out of sight in case this goes sideways. He will also be watching ( From his field of view) the area in case the goblins try anything. If possible Shar will attempt to be in stealth at the entry area staying out of sight of the goblins. Stealth 14 And hold his attack in case they do anything stupid.
Edit: Good grief! Shar is apparently dense and obvious in the past few minutes. Maybe the dice are saving good roles for combat? Yeah, prob not.
Jeb curses Yeemik's charismatic ability with hex, before making a magical demonstration of cleaning his rapier. The goblin archers audibly gasp as Klarg's blood on the rapier is burnt away. Yeemik scowls and snarls back at them in Goblin, which Sharloon can partially understand. "Just...trick!"
The goblin archers don't heed his words, and they are now visibly nervous. If a fight broke out, it wouldn't take much for them to run. However, Yeemik's lieutenants don't seem to be cowed by the elementary magical display.
Arikon then speaks out in a smooth tone, trying to entreat Yeemik to let the party check on Sildar. Yeemik's eyes narrow as he thinks for a long moment. Sharloon tries to hide in the entryway, but he sees Yeemik's eye dart over to him as he clumsily kicks a rock.
Meanwhile, Zee uses Jeb's distraction to check on the treasure chest. Unlocked, he quietly opens it and finds a huge mound of coins inside! Unfortunately, they are mostly copper, though a good number of silver is mixed in. Fumbling through the coins, he also finds a jade statuette of a frog with tiny golden orbs for eyes, but then something else catches his attention. He uncovers two shiny glass flasks containing an glimmering red liquid. Though most magic items require identification to be used without risk, these ones are so ubiquitous and widespread that identification is unnecessary. A paper receipt attached to one confirms this- these are Potions of Healing purchased by Sildar in a Doveheart apothecary just a few days ago.
Yeemik considers Arikon's offer, his smile gone, stony-faced. He slowly nods.
"We won't send him over, but one of you can come here." He points to John, the fresh-faced man appearing the least threatening of the party. John looks to Zee, palpable fear in his eyes.
"I can't do this!"
He says, shaking his head. This entire mission had tested his nerves, but having to walk alone next to six armed goblins pushes him past the breaking point.
