Genken sneaks over to the wooden bench (Sneak: 13), as he does, he puts a finger to his mouth telling everyone to be quiet and points to the bedroll. He then focuses his attention on the items on the bench (Investigation: 25).
Moving closer, you see a kobold asleep in the bedroll. He doesn't wake up when you approach. On the bench are several jars of green ink, a paintbrush, and four small dragon figurines. They're finely crafted and appear to be made of jade.
"Yes, there was a treaty with the Kobolds. No fighting." Arisys says trying to keep her voice low not to wake the sleeping Kobold. Stealth: 5
'Another reference to dragons' Arisys thinks to herself. 'I wonder if they meant literally.'
She will walk into the small cage that has a hole in it if she can do so without getting too close to the Kobold and if she is small enough to fit in the hole. She will look around for any signs of dragons. Investigation: 17
The cage is actually quite large, and you have no trouble fitting through the hole. Inside, you find a scattering of white scales.
As you're climbing back out, distracted by your discovery, you walk straight into the bench, causing the items on top to tumble off. Most of the jars and the brush clatter to the ground, and one jar lands directly on top of the kobold. He yelps, eyes snapping open, and scrambles backwards on the floor, limbs tangled in his ragged blanket.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Since he's already awake I'd like to roll persuasion?)
Before the kobold could say anything, Summer puts a finger to her lips while still holding the torch. "Stay silent little one, we are not here to hurt you. We have some questions."
Persuasion: 7

"Can you understand my words?" I ask carefully. "If so, then have you seen two people who look like us?" I point at myself and Lar-Dun, and make an outline of two humanoid shapes with my hands.

"What was in the cage?" Ondrej asks, looking over the broken bars, wondering what would be strong enough to break them and getting excited about facing such a beast.
"Quite the little paint job you have here, little one," Genken smiles at Meepo, "Just warning passers-through, or something else? You obviously have spent some time down here to know much about this place. Why don't you share a little of your vast experience in this damp, dark place?" (Persuasion: 21).
"Calcryx was there, but the goblins stole him! Meepo thought..." He looks down, ashamed. "Meepo thought that might bring Calcryx back." Suddenly, his head snaps back up, afraid again. "Don't tell Yusdrayl! She don't know."

Genken taps his chin, feigning deep thought, "Oh, but Yusdrayl sent me to find out what was going on. But you seem SO very sorry that Calcryx was taken. Perhaps we might be able to help you get Calcryx back without the need for Yusdrayl finding out?" Genken smiles at Meepo (Deception: 21).

Genken slyly tries to pocket the figurines (Sleight of Hand: 20).
You take the figurines from the bench. The kobold still doesn't wake up.

Arisys will look at the glyphs. Does she notice anything about them or recognize the writing as a language?
Ondrej steps quietly into the room, his sword resting on a shoulder.
Stealth: 13
He approaches close enough to make out the sleeping kobold.
(OOC: what's the lighting like in here? Is Summer still carrying the torch?)
He points to the bedroll- "The villagers like the kobolds, right? We're not supposed to fight them?" he asks the others in a low voice.
There hasn't been any lighting in the rooms you've been to. I would assume that Summer still has the torch.
Arisys and Genken, you recognize these symbols as Draconic runes, albeit crude and sloppy ones. They read "Here There Be Dragons" over and over.
Everyone who hasn't already, please make a stealth check.

While the kobold doesn't say anything, he still looks utterly terrified of you.

Summer smiles at the kobold and nods. While she has a friendly disposition, she studies the tone of his voice and demeanor to see if he's lying.
Insight: 13
He seems like he's telling the truth.
