Genken chuckles, "Can't let your weapon starve of blood before sleeping tonight, Ondrej. Is the door unlocked? Or do I need to jiggle the lock some?" He chuckles again as puts the map away and makes his way over to the door.
Genken looks to the others, "Well then, my fellow apple hunters, shall we go get some fiends for Ondrej to kill?" His hand ready on the door as soon as everyone gives a nod.
"Let's enter cautiously. We don't know who's in there or if they are friend or foe." Lar-Dun advises. "But let's hope they are foe so we can kick some ass."

"We heard what is in there. So it doesn't seem like there would be anywhere for us to hide to be sneaky. I think all eyes will be on us as soon as we open the door. So I think if we are going in, we go in. I would agree a rest before we descend is most enticing. Maybe we can talk whoever is on the other side into letting us stay? No...It's likely goblins. Maybe we should prepare for a fight."
Arisys still looks concerned about their chances of success in a large fight.
((Thanks for keeping me in mind...life is crazy. I haven't had a chance to post.))
Genken scratches his chin with a clawed finger for a moment as Arisys mentions the fact that the opening the door would likely gain the attention of everyone on the other side. Then he smiles and rifles though his back pack, pulling out a vial of oil. "Old doors generally creak, so how about we give them a little TLC before we go in?" He pours a little oil on each of the hinges before putting the stopper back on the vial and returning it to his pack. He then prepares to open it, looking at everyone first and smiles "Shall we pay a visit to our unsuspecting hosts?" and then carefully and slowly opens the door so as to hopefully have it not creak or draw attention (Sleight of Hand: 7).

Despite your best efforts, the door still lets out a loud creak that echoes through the large chamber within. The room, which might have once been some sort of cathedral, is now coated with filth and grime. Sconces mounted on the walls and floor contain a glowing purple fungus that illuminates the space. Against the southern wall is a heaping pile of miscellaneous items, including wagon wheels, broken armor and rusted arms, chests, small statues, artwork, and antique furniture. You are entering from the east, and there are three other doors - one each on the north and west walls, and one on the curved section that juts into the northwest corner.
Inside the chamber are several dozen goblins going about their daily business. Unlike those you encountered in the small room previously, most appear to have no armor or weapons. Many are young or elderly. The exception is the group of four goblins seated around a central firepit, who are equipped similarly to the ones you fought.
Upon hearing the echoing noise, all activity in the room comes to a sudden halt. After a moment of tense silence, one of the armed goblins barks out an order and chaos erupts. Food and work are abandoned as most of the population begins stampeding towards the northern door. They shove and climb past one another, each attempting to be the first one through. The group of four splits off, with two heading to the western door and two heading to the door on the curved wall. Both doors are opened and the goblins look like they're yelling to whoever is inside, though it's hard to hear over the clamor of the horde.
Everyone, roll initiative.

(I messed up my rolls and tried to fix them and now it's mad at me so I'm typing in what person 2 and 3 should have been before I screwed everything up)
(OOC - Can I just reiterate how much I hate these digital rollers. I think I've gotten maybe 2 or 3 rolls in the last couple of weeks above 10. So frustrating. Oh well, let's do this. My bad guys.)

Arysis hopes that the goblins are distracted by trying to talk to the others through the doors, and won't see an attack coming. She casts Sacred Flame at one of the goblins at the curved wall.
Damage: 5 on failed Dex Save DC12
She then draws her quarterstaff and prepares for them to attack. (Not really preparing anything, just flare)
It ducks away from the bolt of white flames with a yelp.
The main group of goblins continues fighting to get through the northern door. About a third of them have gotten out at this point.
The two goblins at the curved wall still seem distracted with whoever they're talking to inside.
Three more armed goblins emerge from the western door, bringing the total in that cluster to five. One of them shouts a command and they unleash a volley of arrows, one heading towards each of you.
Arisys: Attack: 21 Damage: 3
Genken: Attack: 8 Damage: 3
Lar-Dun: Attack: 23 Damage: 5
Ondrej: Attack: 9 Damage: 6
Summer: Attack: 6 Damage: 3
Some of the arrows hit their marks, but others have their aim thrown off by the chaos of the moment.
(DM Question - how grouped are the goblins? Looking for a 30ft x 5ft line to get as many as possible with breath weapon. And how close are they to Genken's position at the door.)

Ondrej shrugs. "So long as it's fair. I was hoping for monsters, but it doesn't sound like monsters. May not be a fight in there after all."
"What say you Arisys?" Summer said, turning to her smaller companion. "Shall we play it safe before going into a battle frenzy?"
