Robwin, Elsa was thrilled to spend the evening with you again. As with the previous evening, she did "nap" (heavily) during your reverie. She was otherwise energetically engaged with you in every way. "This is wonderful.", "When will you be back?" being only a couple of the pleasant memories of her in your mind as you join the party. You have to be go earlier than last morning to meet the party. Do you leave Elsa to rest in the Inn, wake her to join you, or is that a fond memory you dwell on privately as you watch your compatriots arrive or are you just a bit late?
Wolfsong, After such an engrossing evening in the wilds east of Phandalin, were you in the shed when Blaire tumbled in and prepared her familial entourage, were you already prowling around Barthen’s Provisions watching as dawn approached or is there some other path Wolfsong took after his hunt and rest?
Robwin is up early, before dawn, while Elsa is still sleeping.
With his dagger he cuts a small swatch of bright orange cloth, from the hem of his robe, about 5 inches by 2 inches. He pins the silver leaf clasp to it, and places it on top of Elsa’s clothes, which he has folded into a neat pile beside the bed.
He also cuts a small piece of paper, from his last loose sheet in his scroll case, and writes a note saying simply ‘I hope to be back in a few days. Robwin’.
He then folds it, and tucks it into the clasp too, before leaving to watch the sunrise and join the others.
As Eli is arranging his gear and showing his pack on the mules drawn cart, he will greet each party member and pay them if Sildar did not do so directly. ((post #1418))
As Blaire is repacking and loading her and the goblins' packs on the cart, she stops looks over a small bundle and says, "Robwin? I guess this is for you."
As she hands it over, she asks TT, "TT, How'd you sleep? Do you want to drive the cart? Glufs and Gralk both said they'd like to try otherwise."
Robwin looks up at Blaire as she says his name and hands over a small bundle. “Oh, hey Blaire... Thanks. What’s this?...”, he says, opening the bundle to see what it’s all about...
Robwin, The bundle Blaire hands you has your name scratched in common at the top of a small note as well as paper and ink.
The note is in finely written Espruar (elven script) with three words roughly printed in Thorass (common script). It's clear quickly why Blaire assumes it is for you while also sounding confused.
[[Robwin]],
Firstly, do not dare laugh at my Thorass. I am embarrassed at how horrible it is and avoid putting it to parchment. Thankfully with you there is little need.
Secondly, [[Elmar]] was extremely pleased with your order and raided his private stock to provide you with this one ounce bottle of ink, 10 gp, and 25 sheets of paper, 2 sp ea ~ 5 gp. He will take the supply out of your order, so it's no charity, just good business.
Lastly, my sister is certainly smitten with you and I admit I find you pleasantly disarming. However, I believe you are both being rather cavalier. Time will tell.
The others find Rinn leaning against a post near Barthen's Provisions in the morning, having spent a portion of the night out and about, perusing the wares of the town but finding nothing he wished to acquire at this time. Rinn takes the gold from Sildar with a nod, then turns to the others, "I'm looking forward to getting out and about again. Into the woods, huh? At least there shouldn't be any dragons there," he laughs.
Robwin immediately takes one sheet and dips the ink, and writes in elven script:-
“Dearest Sarah,
If there’s another way to fall for someone, than cavalier, I should very much like to know!
And in all honesty your handwriting holds an energy and joy that I haven’t seen in some years. It brings a tear of happiness to my eyes to read your hand.
Please thank Elmer for the advance on my order.
Look after Elsa. I know you will.
Robwin”.
He folds it small and hands it to Lia, telling her to deliver it to Sarah and then find them on the road.
As you all start out of town, Blaire will say, "I don't know, Rinn. Halia, that's Ms. Thornton, said she had a falcon from some fellow has a hunting lodge in the wood. Says that white dragon took a pig and a goat three days ago. I guess that would be four days ago now. I asked how a falcon would deliver messages. I heard of pigeons, of course. She said the falcon and his kin have an agreement with an elf ranger due to a bet, the hunter's name and falcon not able to understand a joke. I didn't really follow.", Blaire creases her forehead a bit then clears her throat and starts setting a pipe.
"So, yeah, I guess we might run into the dragon."
"I really wish I had thought to brew a strong tea or coffee this morning."
"Oooh, we could stay at the hunting lodge in Neverwinter while we travel," Rinn says with a big smile. "I wonder what the joke was?" he says to no one in particular as he ponders that comment.
The day is fairly pleasant. Gaatbort and the wolves take every opportunity to race in 9ne direction or another a couple miles and race back. A few times they bring back a rabbit or foul that Blaire or Glufs field cleans (quick gutting to prevent the meat from spoiling) and hangs on the back of the cart "to prepare properly tonight".
"Sildar Hallwinter is setting up a constabulary office in the town hall and continuing to seek his acquaintance Iarno Albrek."
"Mr. Barthen and Mr. Wester are concerned about the two Rockseeker brothers, Nundro and Tharden, if I remember the names right. Apparently, they should have come into town to resupply and haven't."
"Ms. Thornton at the Phandalin Miner's Exchange has also brought up a concern that some dwarfs out south of town and west of Axeholm were supposed to check in and haven't. Mr. Wester says he put a job for someone to warn them about the dragon and it was pulled from the board so they should know something soon."
"A couple of runners were sent late yesterday afternoon to Leilon. Apparently, they have orders to fill from Barthen’s Provisions, Thagren's Smithy, Lionshield Coster, the Miner's Exchange, Endure's Leather, Dendrar Woodworking and a local clothier."
"That was apparently a pretty big deal, that all the businesses had reason to send a messenger rather than wait for the next caravan."
"No one in the artisan guild new about this Black Spider entity, but they have been hearing about a Glasstaff who is apparently a leader among these Redbrands."
"That group seems to be a growing problem. Apparently, some of them have tried shaking down a couple of the local business. At least Barthen’s and Dendrar's that I remember."
"No one seemed to know about this goblin castle or there being organizing among the Goblinkin in this area."
The trip goes without issue. When you rest the mules in the afternoon, Gralk forages around finding edibles Burdock (Leafy Vegetable), Daylilies and Kudzu (Leafy Vegetable).
TT as the party starts moving again Glufs asks you, "What is crystal spire?" And hands you a key, resembling a master key or skeleton key, with a the stem and bow resembling Kelemvor's symbol, an upright skeleton arm holding the scales of justice.
Wolfsong would have been back in the shed when Bliare returned giving her a smirk when she answered the goblin. Wolfsong will accept the gold from Sildar with a nod.
After listening to Eli share his information Wolfsong will pipe up, “Last I heard the manticore was sighted around Axeholm so I would not mind traveling there once we finish our business with the goblins, we can make sure the dwarfs were warned of the dragon while we are in the area.”
While on the road Wolfsong keeps mostly to himself while watching the skies for anything coming at them.
As the sun gets low in the western sky you reach the end of the stretch of plains/meadows that the Triboar Trail runs through and the most southwestern tip of the Neverwinter Wood.
While the days are getting gradually longer and you took a minimal break, you were careful not to overtax the mules and the last ten miles without a well trodden trail was a bit slower.
You are perhaps twenty to twenty-five miles north of Phandalin maybe twenty miles northeast of what is now labeled "Fresh Spring Clan Cavern" in Blaire's map key and maybe twenty miles west of "The High Road".

Rinn, TT, How did you spend your evening? Did the members from Alderleaf Farm find you waiting for them at Barthen’s Provisions as dawn broke?

TT would have gone ahead and stayed with the bulk of the party, up and ready to go in the morning.
