"Well we may have found the solution to our captive problem," Wolfsong remarks as he sees the inside of the armory. Upon hearing the laugh Wolfsong's ear twitch, his gaze shoots towards the sound then he ushers the other two into the room the follows, once everyone is in the room Wolfsong quietly closes the door but not completely and leaves a gab just large enough to spy through.
Rinn sneaks in at Wolfsong's request and quietly heads to the keys to try and lift them without a sound (Stealth: 22 and Sleight of Hand: 17 if you want them).
(OOC - also, I am totally lost as to where we are on that map based off descriptions. I can see the double doors near what looks like the cells, but you mentioned another entry 5ft behind us to the west and I don't see it on the map. Makes sense that Rinn would have little idea though, it is a rabbit warren down here and although he's smart, his attention is elsewhere.)
(( The "secret" service passage is probably what is throwing you off.
The room with three coffins is the Crypt chamber.
In the north (top) east (right) corner of the crypt chamber is the door to the slave pens. That is where the captives are.
In the north (top) west (left) corner of the crypt chamber is the passage way going north (up) from the crypt chamber to the armory on the right. You are currently in or next to the armory.
The "secret" service passage on the left; exits into the northern storage area at the north end of the cavern.
The service entrances are designed to look like the wall when closed. ))
Wolfsong without moving his gaze from the gab in the door whispers back to Robwin, "Grab me one of the crossbows over there and a quiver of bolts. If no-one appears soon we will move back to the prisoners, hopefully free them with the keys we found here, then we bring the prisoners back here to arm them that way we will have less to worry about as we clear the rest of this place."
Wolfsong then turns all of his attention back to the direction he heard the laugh come from and tries to listen for anymore or other evidence that the source was coming closer.
Robwin remains quiet, and still... but nods and sends his mage hand over to retrieve a light crossbow and a case of crossbow bolts for Wolfsong((either in one or more trips, as needed)).
If the service passage slightly open between the storage area and the hall, you first see light from the cavern area.
You hear a gravel voice, "Well, that mage may not be in. He doesn't usually leave these secret (clear sarcasm) doors open unless he absentmindedly wandered out. Might as well go in that way. I don't fancy being on the bridge over the crevasse without knowing where that creeper is. Jed. You can wait here."
"Thanks, boss."
You see, TT, Blaire, Edure, a half-orc about Endure's size, and a humanoid slightly smaller than Blaire come into view.
Their details evident due to the light now coming from the cavern.
The half-orc's attention is on the open panel leading to Glasstaff's quarters.
The humanoid is carrying an mid sized oil can and heading for the lamp hanging on the north wall.
"It seems so. I don't know for sure. He recently had another bugbear, Mosk, come in. Probably what Chet was all worked up about. You said he caused a lot of trouble in town? Who burns down their own roost? Doesn't make scene... and not my problem.", Luth responds. The last part more to himself than to you.
This area is the north end of the large natural cavern. It has been finished with dressed stone block walls and a flagstone floor. Several barrels are stored against the walls here, along with a number of empty crates, straw for packing, hammers, pry bars, and nails.
Along the northwest corner next to the open "secret" door are creates and barrels of good being sorted and repackaged for shipment or storage. Among them, slightly set aside, are thirty nicely done beaver pelts, easily worth two gold apiece.
There are scuff marks and footprints from the south cavern to the eastern wall of the room. Also from the open "secret" door on the west wall to the east wall. You see a sligh glint from a small opening in the east "secret" door. (Luth is focused on the wide open west door and his own thoughts.)
As Jed hangs one lit oil lamp and moves to the next, you see someone is watching from a slight crack in the east door. The reflection is the tip of a bolt or arrow.
"Well, Mosk, is the least of the problems. This lot would be better off mining or hunting beasts than working with this mage.", Luth says as he continues toward the west "secret" door and passage.
Wolfsong gives a quick nod as thanks to Robwin for retrieving the crossbow for him. As quietly as he can Wolfsong loads a bolt and takes aim at the passage away across the hall, but when he sees the members of the party walking with possible enemies pulls back slightly and turns to his companions.
"What are they doing?" He quietly but harshly inquires motioning to their other party members. "Can one of you use a spell find out what they have planned? One of our groups could be spoiling something the other is planning, we don't need that happening."
Robwin agrees, and whispers to Wolfsong: “Good thinking... Let me silently message TT... She’ll be able to silently reply... Hold on...”.
Robwin casts the message cantrip to TT saying... “TT! It’s Robwin. We’re east of you... Are you okay? We’ve tied up the wizard and others the way you’re heading..”.
Robwin also relays quietly to the others what he told TT.
Blinking fast a few times and replies back silently" Yes were fine. They are taking us to see Glasstaff, umm...I'll try to stop them." Robwin also hears some less than pleasant sounding noises following that that sound very harsh and guttural. (if you speak Deep Speech)
Damn, damn, @$%*#, **&@$#%^$#(you get the idea lol)
"Luth, before we go in can we talk a bit of business? I just think it would be best to get this out of the way first, in case the mage doesn't want to hear what we have to say you can make an informed decision. Is there another room nearby to talk a little more privately?"
Robwin understands the Deep Speech through comprehend languages, which I think should still be up. Then hears TT speak with Luth.
Quietly but urgently, to Wolfsong and the others, Robwin whispers, “Oh gods!... Okay.. Psst!... They may be coming this way... back up! Maybe all, back up a little? The next room?”. And Robwin tries to ready the others to move back towards the cells, or the skeleton room, if TT and her group come this way.
Luth starts laughing again. He takes a deep breath, "I spent years fighting Duergar in the Turlang's Underdark. I couldn't carry on a conversation, but I know cursing when I hear it."
He shakes his head. "You cracked me up twice and this door is open. He's not here or he's dead. Either case, we can speak in his room."
He than says, "Look, I'm not keen on any of the current activity I've seen. I'd say, if he is there, don't rush him, especially if he has that staff with him."
Looking at you a moment more, Luth exhales and shrugs, "It's up to you. We can head down that passage or we can talk here."
(( Glasstaff's bedchamber is to the west. The passage Wolfsong and the others are in is to the east. ))
"I'm on a hunt; not tied to anyone here; just the two boys. The few that might be useful need more work than I have time for. No offense to you or your goblinkin, but those coming here from the Neverwinter mountains are aimless refugees or hateful destroyers. The monster that this mage has recently gotten involved with isn't my pray. Given how it's twisting folk like Mosk and this mage. It is probably out of my league. I need to get a look at this before the opportunity passes. Jed. Keep watch. Pack creates."
"On it, boss."
Luth starts walking toward the west passage.
Blaire and Endure look to TT.
You can tell now, they're not quite sure what your purpose is, but they're following your lead.

Blaire slightly nods at TT, but doesn't take any other action.
Endure Perception 18
Endure looks at TT, Blaire and Luth.
TT - You're not sure they caught on, but they are clearly following your lead.
"So if he were to be dead or captured you would be okay with that?" TT asks absently to Luth while looking around the room.
Luth looks at you for a brief moment.
