As the day breaks, Ikki begins his work at Alderleaf Farm, the quiet discussions with "gramps" at sunrise are centering. As he watches, the old halfling starts stubbornly forcing his body to obey his desire to take care of his plants. It will be a good day to work.
As the day breaks, Jubilance and Blaire are laughing outside having joined each other in Endure's twilight ritual and workout. Blaire is now brewing coffee. "Is she alright?" "Oh, yes. She's rarely willing to great the dawn. Something my mother finds endearing, actually." As Scraps wonders out of the thatched shed and pads toward them, Blaire smiles handing Endure a cup. "Let's check on the pack then see about catching up with the rest." "You'll have to do that on your own, I need to get back to my work. I have made some promises that I need to deliver on."
By midmorning, Blaire and her contingent of the Stonehill clan will guide their pack to the Inn for brunch.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After resting in his trance state, Robwin wakes long before Elsa does. He looks upon her as she sleeps: so strong and resourceful in the battles over the town, and yet in some ways so fragile and defenceless. He sees her youth and beauty, but also considers her brief lifespan. He sees the similarities between him and her, and also their differences. He takes in, and lets out, a deep breath. Not quite a sigh. Something much more hopeful and contented, and smiles.
While she sleeps, Robwin feels for the familiar motes and eddies of weave that surround him….
He reaches out his hand, to within inches of Elsa’s face, trying to sense the way the magical weave reacts to her. Whether it seems to pass straight through, or go around. Whether is bunches or tightens around her form, or spreads out. He has felt all of these arrangements around different people he’s met. The goblin they met, she had the strangest effect on the weave he’d ever felt. He didn’t expect to sense anything like that.
He moves his hand through the air above Elsa, from her head to her toes and back. Not touching her, just registering how the weave flows around her.
He doesn’t dare hope that there is any magical potential there… but if she causes any slight ripple in the weave maybe there’s hope…
Arcana check (if possible, to see if Elsa has magical potential and could be trained…): 8
Afterwards, Robwin ritually casts comprehend languages and takes a look through the dwarven book he set aside the night before. Maybe he can’t read the whole thing now, but he would like to check what each section is about so that maybe he could read some of the most interesting or useful parts.
Aside from that, he would tend to his wounds from the other night again, and get dressed. They seem to be healing nicely and don’t impede his activities.
And before heading out he would ask Elsa to braid his hair again, over his left shoulder (away from his main casting arm) and suggest they head to the inn for a mid-morning brunch, and to meet up with everyone.
Wolfsong spends his night at the farm as become his custom while in Phandelver. After waking in the early morning he goes out to hunting small game for his breakfast then spends some time practicing with his shortsword as he felt after the manor battle his skills the blade may have become dulled from disuse.
It describes some of the history of the Lost Mines of Phandelver, Wave Echo Cave and the Forge of Spells. Things you heard mention by Sildar Hallwinter and Gundren Rockseeker.

The Phandelver’s Pact between our the clans, dwarves and gnomes, is holding. We even have a contingent of Humans; mages.
The minerals from these rich mines within the wondrous caverns are still being shared. The mineral wealth is lifting everyone up. "Wave Echo Cave" has become a primary focus.

They figured out how to harness the weave in this place; "Wave Echo Cave". This great "Forge of Spells", channels and binds it as energy they infuse into crafted items.
A human settlement, Phandalin (pronounced fan-duh-lin), has grown and is doing well. They are quaint, soft people; even the toughest of them. I still prefer my own or a long hunt in the dark.

Orcs swept through the North and laid waste to all in their path. We lost so much.
They say priests of Lathander, the god of dawn, had commissioned a mace named Lightbringer from the mages working with the gnomes and dwarves of the Phandelver’s Pact.
I thought I was an arse fretting over the bow I commissioned when I learned we lost Wave Echo Cave then these priests make vocal what was in my mind.
Well, I put aside the bow for awhile. An axe to put down Orc, to chop wood, to build funeral pyres.
The Stonehill Inn has set up some tables on their property to serve patrons this beautiful morning. Grista from the tap house is apparently also pitching in as you see both kitchens going strong.
Eli waves you all over to a table, their are drink, coffee, meats, breads and whatnot. "Help yourself. I have a bit to say, but I will not stay long. First that fight was amazing and I am glad the casualties were so low. I understand, you all did much to quell the violence in many areas before it got started and harshly resolved it where needed. I am not criticizing. You did well. I know this space. Organizing and training would be guards and protectors. I am going to focus here. If you find a need for my sword and shield. I will assist. Until then, here are items I have held for the party that may serve you better on the road or in the wilds. Also, Hallwinter and Thornton agree getting the Stonehill clan situated in those caverns and continuing a dialog with the Goblinkin tribes will be beneficial for the trading companies in general and Phandalin in particular. I understand Blaire and TT were largely responsible for that matter. Hallwinter also says this “Glasstaff” or Albrek is being a model prisoner. If you're wanting more information from him, you can work out a visit with Hallwinter. I believe Thornton already told you, we should have guards ready to assist you on various tasks within a tenday. Hallwinter agrees. Frankly, I think that is too optimistic and you won't really know their quality until they are field tested, but that isn't my call. If you have any questions for me, I will answer, otherwise, I will wish you all well and get back to it."
Items he shares:
3 x ruby (25 gp ea); 2 x potion of healing; 3 x emerald (25 gp ea); 3 x sticks (blocks) of incense
((OOC: Robwin’s view would be to sell everything Eli gives the party aside from the healing potions, and then just distribute them to whoever would like to hold one. I’ll add it all to the group loot thread for now. Just post on that thread if you want anything from there)).
After Eli’s kind words, Robwin would excuse himself from Elsa and the party for a moment and show him the dwarven book.
Whether he reads dwarven or not, Robwin would explain to him the gist of the book, pointing out various words and paragraphs, but then ask the Paladin about the Lightbringer mace…
”Is this something you’ve heard about? Or ever… seen?!… It sounds like it was crafted near here, and may still be at large somewhere nearby?”.
Reading pieces of the journal and the sections Robwin points out.
"This is a very old and well preserved journal. Lathander is not my specialty. I'll send a missive home to Helm's hold. Mum or one of her cousins may know more. You might also catch up with Rockseeker or one of his brothers. That group excavating Axeholm might also be interested."
“Thank you Eli. Let me know if you have any luck finding anything out about it. And I will ask around here too, as you say….”.
”I wish you all the best on your endeavours… Maybe we’ll adventure together again soon…”. Robwin gives the paladin a kind bow of the head and makes his way back to Elsa and the party.
"Maybe the dwarves that the town master wanted us to go warn about the dragon might know something about this Lightbringer?" Rinn says through a mouthful of food. "I remember seeing that note up on the board some time back. We could kill two birds with one arrow if that were the case."
Robwin nods at Rinn, “Yes, they should be warned!… Hmm… .. I’ll keep this book on me then, anyway. In case we meet anyone on our travels who might know more”.
"Three birds," Wolfsong adds standing from his seat. "The manticore was last seen in that area."
Wolfsong walks over to Eli and holds out his hand, if Eli returns the gesture Wolfsong will clasp his hand around Eli's forearm, "You will do well on this path you have chosen, i am sure of it."
"Oh, well there are two sites out there. Dad works at Axeholm. The other site is called Abbat or something. They're both about fifteen, twenty miles south of here and about five, ten miles apart with Abbat being the farther west of the two.", Elsa answers. "They don't have a large crew and they have more above ground area I think. At least that's what dad's said. He said the team he's with at Axeholm ran into some magic or ghost troubles or something. That had them on hold. Then the Manticore snatching a mule convinced the foreman to send folks back to Phandalin for a spell. I bet you all could pick up more about this at the Miner's Exchange. If you're going anyway."
"Elsa! This is a bloody mess! Everyone's arrived all at once the stock we're needing didn't.", comes from a Dwarven female moving briskly toward the table. TT and Blaire recognize her from the tap house.
