Robwin replies to TT, “Hmm… I trust your sense in that matter… That does not bode well… … Should we head towards it? Head it face on?…”.

TT - Eyes of the grave does not reveal anything at the moment. 

Rinn:   

Looking back into the chamber, Rinn, you see it, to the southeast about sixty feet from you, in the webs, giant spiders. You can make out three... no six. There are probably more. They are working there way towards you cautiously, deliberately. 

Robwin, Wolfsong, While slightly distracted, you both see Rinn's motions asking for direction ... down or farther into the webbed chamber. 

Rinn quickly hand signals the others, “Down! Giant spiders coming this way in the webs!”

Robwin doesn’t hesitate. On Rinn’s encouragement, he begins to shuffle towards the path downward, while keeping an eye back on the webbing too. He will quietly guide Eline along with him. 

Rinn has motioned everyone down the stairs.

Wolfsong and Robwin saw and understood the signals. 

TT and Eline are following Robwin.

Cleaver is following Wolfsong. What are they doing?

Rinn are you waiting on the others or moving?

Is everyone still moving with stealth or with speed?

Rinn moves stealthily down the stairs, bow at the ready.

Robwin follows Rinn’s example.

Wolfsong nods at Rinn's warning before following him down the stairs, all the while trying to keep an eye on the approaching spiders as he slowly draws his heavy crossbow from his side.

Eline, following Robwin’s lead by his hand, trips. Attempting to gain purchase, she catches ahold of a flag hem yanking its pole from the wall slapping it into the webbing. 

As soon as the poll hits the web, everyone starts hearing a low buzzing sound. 

((( Some spiders "stridulate," or scrape stiff body parts against another surface to make a buzzing sound to signal others in their community. Yeah, many web spiders are communal. ))

Robwin looks back at the noise… ((freezeframe!… how far away are the nearest spiders, and how far away is the nearest web??.. I’m imagining Robwin is paused at the mouth of the way down. Also, are the walls and floor all worked stone?))… as he turns and looks, (head up like a meerkat), he’s fumbling in his bag for something, as he waves people past and down (aside from the ones who are relying on him to see), “Shh… Go.. Go!!…”.

((  The spiders are speeding towards the party in the webbing. 

The webbing extends from just above your heads up through the sixty feet high vaulted ceiling angling down meet the floor just beyond the western staircase.

They were sixty feet when Rinn noticed and signaled everyone down the stairs.

Eline and TT end up being the first to round the wall and start quickly down the stairs. Cleaver is directly behind them, followed by Wolfsong, then Robwin and Rinn. 

The spiders are thirty feet from you at the top of the stairs.

The stairs are boxed by an angled wall. They will have to come through the stair well by ceiling, wall or floor narrowing down how many can initially get through.

As Eline and TT get about twenty five feet down the stairs they start noticing very dim light from the north. 

Giving them just enough light to function beyond racing blindly down the stairs. ))

TT now you start seeing the ghostly vision eyes of the grave affords you.

 You see thee forms. Your racing down the stairs. You can see you have another twenty-five feet of stairs and the entities are probably fifteen feet from the base of the stairs. 

Making sure he’s that last to head down, Robwin pulls a small flask of oil from his pack and — standing on the first stair or two down — dashes the contents, with a ‘smash’ on the last 5ft-square-of-flat-floor before the stairs.

Then, just before he disappears down the stairs after the party, he lights up the oil-patch using prestidigitation or fire bolt.

He’s mostly hoping to deter the spiders from following them at all. “Stay back, mindless beasts!…”, he tells the spiders through clenched teeth, and through the flames, just before he bounds down the stairs after the party…

The spiders don't seem to hesitate.
