Rinn nods as Eline and TT say they cannot continue and eyes widen at mention of the amulet's price. "I'm sure we'll be alright if you want to rest up. Just clearing out some chaff is all," he beams a smile at them both as he slings his bow over his shoulder.
Robwin nods thankfully to Eline and TT. “Thank you. If we can make even half that, off the amulet, we’ll be able to do some real good here shoring up defences”. If they let him, he’ll take the amulet.
Rinn, Robwin, TT: You are aware you have the connection through Endure or Ms. Thornton to sell or find a buyer. You have Blaire working to set up the mine and travel post. You have the alchemists lab and a pending discussion with Phandalin council regarding the mansion property the lab and your strange new partner.
Robwin: You specifically have a vested interest in acquiring use and Manor property, securing your group patron and teacher.
Rinn, Robwin, You recall you have some accounts Phandalin business owners you should check up on.
You three have your own agendas and ideas, however, the mention of value does bring these things to mind.
Beyond the cover of the mezzanine level the floor opens up to a forty foot high ceiling there are grand columns supporting this grand area. This mustering hall continues eighty feet to a stone wall set with archer slits much like those set in the outer and inner gauntlet that make up the entrance hall.
To the west, your right, is a raised portcullis in the southern wall. Through it, the back chamber, forty feet south to a natural sloping wall. To the east, your left, is a lowered portcullis blocking a descending stone staircase.
Robwin replies, “Yes we came in the top, through some kind of chimney… and worked our way down to the main gate to open up…. Burned out a lot of the upper floor… literally!…”.
”I say we sweep through what’s left…”. He looks left and right trying to get his bearings…
((Grwobert is a little lost on the overall layout without a map, would Robwin know broadly what options we have to proceed further through this place? My gut says maybe still a bit to do on this level and maybe then head down? Is all the upper floor all done? Did we leave a tunnel or nest or something up there? Thanks)).
(( @Grwobert - Yes, the party has access to a map. It's been updated with information your party gathered. Basically, you'll need to open the far south main floor portcullis - previously described- to go down to the lower level floors. The staircase descends ten feet then switches back on itself going down another ten to the floor. The room stretches out with rooms along the east and west walls and what should be a thrownroom on the far north wall. ))
“Ah yes… we should open the main floor portcullis in the far south…”, says Robwin pointing over in that general direction.
He nods at each party member briefly in turn as he begins moving in that direction. “It will take us down to the lower level floors…”.
If he meets no obstruction, he’ll head that way and down the stairways described. When he reaches that level, he stands, looking out across the room towards the thrown room, waiting for the others.
While he does so, he reaches up briefly to the owl on his shoulder and ruffles new Lia’s feathers a little before touching foreheads together for a breath or two.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Silenus changes direction mid stride and turns to follow Robwin to the southern portcullis.
While Robwin looks for a lever, Silenus steps up to the bars and rugs on them a little to see if they have any give to them. Old bars might not take much to move, he thinks to himself.
Instead of waiting for Robwin to find a lever, Silenus grasps the bottom bar, crouches down into a squat and then uses his powerful legs to lift up as hard as he can.
Strength: 15 ((plus an additional 3 if Athletics would apply)).
“The direct approach!!… I like it!…”, Robwin says to Silenus.
If he can see the portcullis mechanism(s), he will attempt to use mage hand to engage a lock (?) or ratchet (?) to try and hold the gate up, in place, once it’s up (if possible), moving closer to each if needed.
Silenus whistles when Eline mentions how much the amulet is worth.
"Can you imagine the raging party you could throw with that, dudes?" Silenus asks. "You could totally go for a swim in Evermead."
"I could live off that for the rest of my life, or buy something big" Yian says with a smirk under her mask

Silenus looks over at Rinn with a smile.
"Alright, let's get going." Silenus says, running one hand over his horns, the other hefting up his great axe.

He too is ready to head back in.

Everyone ready?
Do you head south into the main floor? You're on the main floor on the northwest side.
(Yian is ready!)

Thanks for the summary of current considerations in town too)).

Silenus whistles at the size of the mustering hall.
"Totally bodacious," Silenus says. "Have you dudes been in here before? Which way?"
Even while keeping one ear open for an answer, Silenus finds himself drifting towards the opening where the raised portcullis is.
He looks up at the ceiling and walls as well.

Yian stands back and watches Silenus lift (or attempt to lift the Portcullis) she makes sure she and Ydri are out of the way
"Well let's see how this works!"
She'll keep an ear and eye out for anything extraneous

With Silenus pushing and Robwin catching the wintch up, the portcullis rises with loud groaning.
Yian sees there are axillary levers to manage the winches from this main floor, but 'Hey' the Elf and Satyr seem to have found a way.
Yian you do hear shuffling from below.
