((This might be stretching the use of a cantrip, but shape water says that for water within a 5-foot cube it can ‘change the flow of the water as you direct, up to 5 feet in any direction’... Robwin is going to try something and let me know if it works!...))
While some of the party are subduing the wolves, and the sneaky ones are checking out the main tunnel, Robwin looks across to the western passage, and decides to try something...
He’ll try to find a part of the stream near the western tunnel that’s only about 5ft wide and not moving too ferociously (if there is one). Then he stands on the eastern bank, and mutters some ancient elvish words, whilst holding his arms out, palms up and (with some effort showing on his face) he slowly raises them up.
He casts shape water and attempts to change the flow of the water upwards(!) by 5ft so that it flows up and over, making a dry 5ft x 5ft tunnel that everyone could crouch and walk under if they wanted too. Recasting to maintain it as needed.
He’ll practice this off on his own. And if it works he will move back to the others and say that “Psst... if we want to get across the stream to the western tunnel later, I’ll be able to divert the water around us”.
"I agree," Wolfsong whispers back. "Lets continue north, we might be able to find an end of the bridge then we can double back and check out the western path."
Robwin the opening to the kennel on your right is only about ten feet wide. Another ten feet north from that and you are directly behind Rinn and Wolfsong as they very quietly discuss the next move.
You see the steeply rising path ahead of you and the one west of you just past the stream. You also see the bridge high above and hear Rinn's comment.
You see the stream is gently flowing here as it comes down a short fall of rapid and you realize you do not need to control all of it; just enough.
You create a shoot of ice from about two feet up the small fall across in mid air and back to the stream bed while pushing the water out of the area below it.
As you are telling Rinn and Wolfsong about crossing when ready, Gralk and Glufs hurry down the dry stream bed slop which drops two feet deep across under the ice luge and up the other side. Gralk running her hand along the bottom of the ice while Glufs sprint crawled.
Gralk is smiling widely gesturing for others to follow. Glufs is looking around and breathing heavily. That must have been a bit uncomfortable for her.
Wolfsong as you finish your statement about continuing north, you see and hear Robwin's offer to cross and watch two goblins demonstrate. The really thin "tall" one, Gralk, seems ecstatic, like a youngling after their first successful javelin through.
TT, Eli, You are at the south side of the kennel entrance. You have a low torch light with you and there is enough light from the cave entrance to watch as Gaatbort and Blaire take control of the three wolves there. Each could easily match Blaire in size and one is slightly bigger than that.
While she takes the chains, Gaatbort unhook them from the wall pegs and mounts the largest taking its chain from Blaire when she offers it.
Ikki has skirted past all this farther east into the kennel and seems to be looking up into a natural chimney.
As Blaire prepares to move on with her new growling, yapping "allies", she looks around see Ikki in the back of the kennel and TT at the southern mouth of it.
"I guess I got a bit distracted.", she says quietly. Not loud enough to attract attention, she hopes, but enough for her immediate companions to hear her.
"Is good. Have wolf.", replies Gaatbort patting her right forearm from his mounted position.
((Wow! Ice-luge to redirect the mini waterfalls and rapids sounds awesome. That’s cool too because it would last an hour. Nice one)).
Robwin sees the goblins, happy and playing around the ice-falls, and the other one on a wolf! He whispers to everyone, “It looks like we have a few options. This ice will hold, for as long as we need it to, so we can always come back this way. Should we explore the main path further first?”.
((Robwin is happy to try any of the routes, and will follow Rinn and Wolfsong wherever they decide))
[edit...] Lia the Owl is just perched on Robwin’s shoulder taking it easy for now.
Glancing back you see TT looking into the kennel area and Eli against the wall. You do not see Ikki, Blaire or the male goblin, Gaatbort. You can hear the wolves which sound less disgruntled.
This is probably the most disjointed hunting party you have ever worked with. It reminds you fervently of why you often choose to hunt alone. Yet, this is a large pack you are hunting. You know you will need aid. That is true too of the dragon, your ultimate hunt; for now.
Rinn, Wolfsong as Robwin makes his statement, you also see Gaatbort slowly exiting the kennel on the back of a large wolf. It reaches the water and starts to drink. Very soon after the other two do the same, Blaire holding their chains, standing between them by their back haunches.
The "smallest" one, closest to you, is 32" at the shoulder and easily 5' long. The one just the other side of Blaire has maybe a little more hight (34") and is a little longer (5'5"). They probably each weigh 100 to 150 lbs.
The one Gaatbort is riding is massive; easily 45" high, 8' long and 175 lbs. At 3'6" (42") the goblin's feet don't even touch the ground from the top of his mount.
You're sure just by looking at them, they could be bigger, heavier if well treated.
Robwin whispers over to Gralk and Glufs, “psst.. Hey! it looks like we’re going to check out the bridge up ahead. Maybe just stick by me while Rinn and Wolfsong check it out”. He beckons with his hand too and then hangs back a little while the stealthy ones check it out.
Rinn looks to Wolfsong and nods towards the bridge overhead, "That might lead to some fun for you, my friend," he whispers with a smile. The elf then continues moving forward slowly, keeping eyes peeled for any traps or enemies.
Fifteen feet from the west passage you pass under the bridge. Another thirty-five feet you come to the plateau of the path. There are three goblins.
This cavern is half filled with two large pools of water. A narrow waterfall high in the eastern wall feeds the pool, which drains out the western end of the chamber nearest you to form the stream that flows out of the cave mouth below. Low fieldstone walls serve as dams holding the water in. A wide exit stands to the south, while two smaller passages lead west. The one you are on and the one that leads to the bridge. The sound of the waterfall echoes through the cavern, making it difficult to hear.

Rinn looks to Wolfsong and whispers, "What do you think? Across the stream or continue north? That bridge might be interesting to check out."

At the base of the fissure is rubbish that’s been discarded through the opening above.
It looks like, however this cave system is laid out, an active camp is present some thirty feet above and east of your current position.

These beasts put your size in perspective.
It happens sometimes.
You are 2'8" (32").

(( OOC: Up very late last night on some projects and very thankful for a bit of fun distraction this morning. ))
TT, while not scared of the wolves, will try to keep a decent distance out of the reach of their mouths incase they want a bit sized snack.
TT, What is your next move?
Ikki, What's your next move?
Wolfsong, Rinn, Do you continue north?
Robwin, Are you following after Gralk and Glufs or beckoning them back?
