Wolfsong lets out a long slow breath as his rage leaves him and his claws retract, "I can understand your feeling, I have maybe once more I could pull strength from the Wilds anymore than that will push my body too far."
Wolfsong thinks for a moment on Robwin's question as he goes about taking his trophy from his latest kills, removing an ear from each of the bugbears he just did battle with while giving them a quick prayer acknowledging their strength in the hunt, "Let us deal with the creature next. We may learn from it how many more bandits, if any, are still here, and maybe convince it to give us aid in clearing this place."
Wolfsong then turn to Rinn, "You had the most interactions with the creature, do you think if we offer it some meat it will aid us."
(( TT - Hearing Robwin and Wolfsong, You know the East side is clear. There is only one trapped hall untouched, deliberately locked. A door leading to it from the cistern room and a double leading into it from a crypt chamber. "A crazy mage idea" or something Luth had called it.))
Rinn nods, "Perhaps some food will keep it happy, though it did ask after other trinkets that are a little harder to come by as well. Though it sounds like the bandits fed it for its help. So if we take it something, I'm sure it would be amenable."
Wolfsong pulls a torch from his pack as well as his tinderbox and lights the torch before handing it to TT, "Here this should help, I forget your eyes are not like our. I took a few hits but I will be fine for time being."
Wolfsong goes over to the dead bugbears and heaves one of the bodies over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, he wobbles for a moment as his body fights against the exertion, but steadies himself, "Lets go bring the thing a snack then, see if it knows any thing useful."
Robwin claps TT gently on the shoulder and smiles, “Same… ..A few scrapes, but I’m fine for now. Thank you…. Save your energy in case we still need it later!”. He smiles at his friend and nods, before following after Wolfsong, looking like he could do with a good rest.
Out the door of these barracks, immediate right, up the stairs.
In but a moment, you are in the area where Wolfsong, Rinn and Robwin first entered the cavern from the tunnel and first encountered the entity. Way across the cavern you can see the faint light from the oil lamps Luth's man refilled.
You can see the column on this side of the crevasse where Rinn saw the entity before it crawled back down into that fissure.
You cannot make out the edge of the crevasse from where you stand but you know it is only fourty feet or less in front of you.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Wolfsong drops the bugbear corpse on the ground next to the crevasse then looks around trying to spot the creature, "Rinn any idea on how to contact this creature or even what it looks like? All the interaction I have had with it was a voice in my head, never actually saw it."
Robwin is tired and impatient, “Ho there!”, he calls, “Creature of the cravas?!…. …You can show yourself now. We mean you no harm”.
”We have rid this place of the wizard. What is your business here?… Are you a friend or enemy of the town nearby?”. Robwin, listens and keeps on his guard for any sudden movements.
You all hear a tumble then scrambling. The creature comes over the edge to the column. You all hear the creature laughing and giggling in your head. "Was hear first. After the Orcs and Ogres. Before the mage. I eat. I trade. I don't need town or country. Just learn, learn LEARN!!! hehe And some meat."
"Well we have meat," Wolfsong says placing a foot on the bugbear corpse as a way to keep the creature from taking it too early. "For this we will trade for knowledge. Do you know of anyone else here aside from the five of us?."
The creature begins laughing in your minds, "You make so much meat! Only dead hear now! HaeeHehe hahaha... what trade you? Know anything new?" It creeps forward a bit; now fully out from cover of the pillar.
It's nearly at the dimmest edge of the torch light. It has redish leathery underbelly, dark grays and browns make up its back head and neck. It is covered in spikes and outgrowths that would make it hard to spot in the cavern, crevasse or any mountainous terrain if it choose to hide.
Looking at it now, you would estimate it at maybe four and a half feet tall if it were to stand up.
It has three digit feet and hands and one huge gleaming eye. You notice, like the goblins, it tends to have an open mouth panting breath when not overly focused.
It seems excited, but very cautious.
"Trade now, trade later, I will watch this place for you. My home; My home!"
Robwin calls over, “Well, you seem friendly enough. You say that there are no others alive in this place now besides us?….”. Robwin considers this.
“We already offer food. But what else do you want? Knowledge? I know much. And my friends have come from all over. What do you need?…. And what can you offer in return?”.
Rinn shakes his head at the query of injuries, "Barely a scratch," he chuckles.
Rinn listens quietly to the to and fro with the creature, considering his last interaction. He steps to the front of the group and pulls out the mage's staff that he had wrapped to protect and lays it on the ground carefully before almost ceremoniously unwrapping it. "You mentioned the mage's staff when we last spoke. Is this it?"
Rinn's interruption and presentation of the staff results in the creature squealing physically and in your minds in apparent delight. "Yes! Yes! Oh, yesss... don't go, stay stay. Will get nice trades. Wait! Wait!" And it scurries off over the ledge soon returning pulling a large foot locker with it; a short wardrobe really; nearly its own size.
It lays the wardrobe flat on its back, dances over the front now facing skyward, unlocks the latches, then throws the doors open.
It begins pulling out items, listing them in your mind, "malachite; so pretty", laying out some gems, "healing; good potions", laying out two vials, "focus, makes myself, light and shadow", laying out large goose egg shaped stones, "weirding, made myself", laying out scrolls, "can trade one or teach for price", "same, spirits cold", it lays out more scrolls, "Talon", it lays out a sword, "and dust, tricky;chock, cough, bad time."
"The potions and the blade interest me," Wolfsong comments after looking over the items the creature brought out. "I have not too much to trade besides the kills we have made here, the knowledge I have I doubt you would care for or find useful. What could I get for this body and another like it back in the sleeping quarters as well as any recent body you found while we were here."

(Wolfsong still has the one point of exhaustion so the advantage would cancel out the disadvantage, but he is not a people person so this should be interesting)

As Wolfsong takes a deep breath, waiting for Rinn's answer, you all realize you hear faint sounds of heavy things being dragged and giggling.
It would seem something, probably the creature, is just past that column nearest you.
Since you can hear it but not see it, with your dark vision and the torch light, it must be in the crevasse.
Robwin is tired and impatient, “Ho there!”, he calls, “Creature of the cravas?!…. …You can show yourself now. We mean you no harm”.
