Robwin looks about: bodies, rubble, dead end… He just quickly investigates to see if there’s no way through or any more hidden entrances, before they head back…
(( Yeah, with an investigation, you see it would take at least an hour or so of work to get clear the door near the bodies. However, it would just open into the area you'd already been. To go farther south would require days of work. ))
Rinn smiles awkwardly as he turns around to see everyone looking at him even though he was trying to be subtle. 'Well then," he says, perking up and trying to change the subject, "Manticore hunting, right? Nothing like calling down some magical beast to stand triumphantly over or have it feast on our flesh." He laughs as he starts making back the way they came, "Hopefully the former, hey?"
Wolfsong gives Rinn a disappointed head shake before turning to Eline, "Aye lets go. We should warn the dwarves about other possible items buried here that could be dangerous."
When the party make it back to the main chamber, Robwin approaches the pillar with the secret door they found, and quickly searches it for traps and attempts to open it, if it looks safe…
Investigation check (traps): 11
After checking the pillar, Robwin says, “I’m happy to head straight out after the manticore, but what about the south passages here?”. He points across the chamber to the secret doors they found.
((OOC: that’s right isn’t it? We found more passages to explore? I’m a little lost on all the places we’ve been and not been))
He casts his eyes over the items. His eyes still have the familiar, slightly-rainbowy sheen across them, from his detect magic spell, like oil swirling on water in the sun.
((Lasts 10 mins I think. I assume it’s still up? Does anything here register with any magical residue?)).
"Aye we are here might as well finish checking this place," Wolfsong gives a small sigh. "But lets make it quick I would rather not lose the track of the manticore again."
Wolfsong turns to Eline, "Has the beast returned or is it still out in the woods?"
Hearing the pillar open Wolfsong moves next to Robwin, after seeing what the young mage has found gives a begrudged, "Well I guess this place is worth checking for a bit longer. Anything useful?" Wolfsong will then pick up one of the skulls to examine it in order to try to tell what if came from and possibly how long its been there.
Wolfsong and TT - You are keenly aware these are skulls of Dwarves. While for different reasons, you also both recognize the heads were cleanly removed from the bodies. A ritualistic act taken after the body was rendered to skeletal remains.
TT - These must have been persons of some destination within the cult that apparently lingered here some centuries ago.
Robwin- Detect magic still up, you find nothing drawing your attention in that arena. The gems do look to be of good quality and the cylinders appear to be small polished brass parchment containers.
Robwin steps back towards the items, picks up one of the cylinders and checks it over. If it looks mundane, he’ll open it and check and read the contents.
Rinn looks over Wolfsong and TT's shoulders at the skulls as they inspect them. He rubs his neck, a little uncomfortably, at the thought of losing one's head. "Quick indeed," Rinn nods then quickly moves to the next door they previously found and checks it over for any traps (investigation: 19).
As you open and review the cylinder's contents, Robwin, you find it Dwarven writing. The last minutes of your comprehend language spell allows you to understand it is a eulogy of sorts regarding Karmond Hardpass, warrior, miner and high priest of Abbathor, the Great Master of Greed. Apparently, this one had many wives and children. It's a stunningly divergent presentation of the dwarven community you were tangentially exposed to in Neverwinter.
"As you will" TT sighs heavily and follows the group using her lit shield to cast light over the area they are entering.

(( Robwin correctly points out a secret door that they had identified the previous morning. ))
No traps on the pillar. Though, while checking it, the compartment is triggered, the seal breaks and the pillar compartment slides open.
Five skulls, five red gems and five small cylinders fall out bumping into your chest before tumbling to the floor.
Robwin steps back a little, as items tumble out.

You find no traps, Rinn. The door, like the others, is firmly sealed. It looks like it can be opened just as easily as the others were.
Robwin will mage hand up a couple of the gems and examine them. Would he know what they are and if they are valuable?
