(( If you're ready to start hunting for the manticore(s), give me survival or Investigation checks to pick up the trail. You've barely been an hour within the temple since seeing to the bodies. Still plenty of day.

"Very well," Wolfsong nods to the dwarves. "We will come as fast as we can if you contact us."
Wolfsong turns to the rest of the party, "We have done all we can here for now. Its time we finish the hunt for the manticore then we can venture our way towards the other dig site. We still need to make sure that one is clear incase the dragon becomes more active before we have a chance to take it down. We can figure out how to split the other stones we found later when we come to a point when its needed, for now Robwin just hold on to them."
Once outside the temple Wolfsong looks to where the last traces of the manticore are and tries to pick up the trail.

Robwin nods, and bundles the other three stones away in his pack for now. He follows the party out and once outside, he lets Lia flutter up into the sky to look out for any signs of the manticore…

Rinn sits and looks closely at the bodies and scraps that were left by the manticore the night before trying to gather some point of reference with which to find the creature, or creatures (Investigation: 9).
Robwin beckons Lia back down and makes a huge fuss of her, nuzzling foreheads with her on his shoulder and ruffling her feathers.
”Lia thinks she’s seen the beginnings of a trail… We could maybe start that way then ‘pick up the scent’ as we proceed?… It looks like it leads that way!…”, he says (modestly though, knowing there are better trackers in the group). He points toward the mountain ridge southeast of the canyon.
He pets Lia some more, and waits for the others to be ready. He’ll let Wolfsong and Rinn take the lead as the party heads out. And he notices Rinn looking intently about. He’s seen that look before, so doesn’t interrupt his thought process, but waits patiently for him to work whatever it is, he’s spotted, out!…
In the meantime too, Robwin checks what’s left of his Arcane Ward and checks his mage armor is still up. He makes a couple of gestures and ‘tap taps’ the normally invisible armour, producing a little spark an inch or so away from his chest. He seems satisfied.
He’ll also ritually cast comprehend languages again, as the party set off, just to make sure it’s still up for the journey.
When the party starts heading out, he’ll send Lia back up to keep a look out again and to spot anything else that might lead them in the right direction ((passive perception w/ adv: 18)).
Rinn just gets it. They took more than they could carry. They went up over the south canyon wall. You can trace the path now. To the foothills then up. It's steep. It looks like they clawed and flew. You cannot follow the same path. However, you can see a wash path to the west going in that general direction. You'll be able to lead the way up using the gully.
Rinn points out the path up the gully. "We'll have to be careful, it's pretty steep." He chuckles as he lithely bounces up and down on his toes, looking at the others. "But they definitely bit off more than they could chew, so that might work in our favour."
"Good find, both of you," Wolfsong nods rising from his knee he had taken to look for tracks, having momentarily forgetting the manticore could fly. He brushes the dirt from himself before moving in the direction Rinn and Robwin indicated, "We should be careful as we move forward, there could be more orcs out there ready to attack travelers."
Robwin nods agreement to the others and the party follows the trail as best they can. Lia flutters around 90ft above, keeping an eye out for any dangers as they go.

Rinn hops his way up the gully, pointing out spots to be aware of as he does but also keeping an eye out for the manticores and their trail (Perception: 21).

You all make it up the gully and up an overhang.
Eline tying the horse off at a small tree about half way up continued on with you.
There is a large cave mouth facing you some 720 ft farther along an easy, though gravelly, incline.
If the trail is still clear, Robwin will continue on, with the others, ready for anything…
