TT will move to within 30 ft of Wolfsong and Eline and hold there. 

Rinn considers the scene. With the male manticore spoiling for a fight and the female unsure. Rinn points to the female and casts a message, "Please, you must stop your mate. We don't wish any ill will. Think of your cubs. Please calm your mate so that we can talk."

Robwin continues to walk towards the raging manticore, calm and composed in his magical armour. He walks past Wolfsong and (if he can) moves to within 30ft of the creature, where he stands still with his arms out wide, welcoming and submissive in the face of this mighty beast…

He casts suggestion and says to the male manticore, “For your own safety and for the sake of your partner and cubs, you must calm down and at least hear us out.”…

((DC14 WIS save, or comply with the suggestion for up to 8 hours))

Robwin turns to Wolfsong, with a nod at his request, “If this doesn’t work, he’s all yours…”.

(( The 50 ft between Wolfsong and the creature is over a deep chasm which has some type of moisture below. You can hold the action or do somethingdifferent.  ))

In which case, Robwin would simply call across the same message as above but without the strength of the spell behind it.

He would also not get too close to the edge, so maybe stop around 15ft from the edge.

I hope that works. Just maybe the dodge action too for now.

The male finishes its flight straight into Wolfsong clawing and biting.

Bite 15 w/  5 piercing damage;

Left Claw  19 w/  9 slashing damage

Right Claw  20 w/  7 slashing damage.

As the full weight of the manticore plows into you, Wolfsong, make a strength saving throw DC 16 to stay upright.

Everyone's held actions, one each, go off. Describe them.

The female holds her position in the air 150ft from your party's edge of the chasm in this cavern.

Wolfsong dodges the attempted bite, bats the first claw strike but it open him up to the second claw, he feels the claw dig into his skin as he braces himself to take the weight of the beast.

STR Save: 7

The weight is too much and knocks him to the ground, Wolfsong lets out a laugh as he lays on the ground, "Yes this is what I have been hoping for!"

If he can get up Wolfsong uses some of his movement to stand, if not he will call forth the beast within where he lies and ignite his bestial rage causing the nails on his hands to grow into sharpened claws. Following his change Wolfsong will attempt to strike the manticore with two slashes of his claws.

Bonus Action: Rage

Claw Attack 1: 14 Damage: 8

Claw Attack 2: 5 Damage: 10

(Just realized my opening move of Bane wouldn't have gone off both Manticore's would have been to far away)

TT seeing Wolfsong go down will raise her key and a black beam of energy shoots forth from it towards the Manticore that is attacking Wolfsong 

Casting Ray of Enfeeblement Attack: 16 (on a hit the target deals half damage )

(BOO HISS!!!) 

The male manticore growls and laughs as Wolfsong slams to the ground beneath his weight and successfully gouges his flank. 

It hisses at TT and rumbles, "Not your fight, snack."

Eline Insite 8 DC 12

Eline attacks the male manticore greataxe  (w/ disadvantage - edge of chasm, stalactites, stalagmites, Wolfsong under manticore) To Hit 7 AC 14 slashing damage 15 

Eline's greataxe sparks on a stalagmite.

The cavern is very high in most places but an overhead swing might have been dangerous to Wolfsong. 

Rinn, Robwin may take their held action.

((Oh, Robwin didn’t have a held action in the end. He was just taking the ‘dodge action’ in case his words caused the creature to attack him instead. So he’s still dodging for now, and no held action to take. He’ll just take his normal turn when it comes back around. Thanks)).

(OOC - Rinn didn't have a held action this round either. He'd messaged the female to try and get her to stop the male from attacking.)

Round 3: TT, Rinn, Robwin, Wolfsong, manticore, Eline

You all, except Wolfsong and Eline, realize this has switched to some dominance game between the male manticore and Wolfsong; at least from the manticore perspective. 

What is happening! What are you doing?

Unless anything happens, to dramatically change things here, Robwin just tries to settle Lia’s nerves on his shoulder, whispering to her (but loud enough to be overheard), “It’s the way of things. It’s his way!… Maybe this will lead to the male seeing our Wolfsong as the leader… or as the ‘Alpha male’…”.

“This could work in our favour. If we can dominate this creature with a show of force… … maybe …”. He trails off. He’s still learning from Wolfsong the ways of the wild, but he thinks he gets what’s going on here.

Robwin stands back, but within range to help if need be. Other than that, he respects Wolfsong’s wishes, and watches, is in awe of this noble battle of honour.

Rinn, realising the machismo fight between Wolfsong and the male manticore, shrugs and chuckles as he draws an arrow. He aims it steadily at the manticore's head for a moment, then says "Pew" and chuckles again as he relaxes and leaves the two to their display of domination. He leans his back against the wall and just starts casually talking as if nothing is going on... "So I was in this tavern once..."

Wolfsong grits his teeth and, with his anger fueling his strength, attempts to throw the manticore off himself, then turns to shot at Eline, "Stay out of this! This is my hunt I will take this beast down."

TT moves as if to help but then steps back and grabs the medallion with scales on it that hangs around her neck and begins a silent prayer.
