Auric:
The ooze missing him as he dodged out of the way, Auric summons more healing magic and reaches out to touch the downed Marblebeard. This time, the holy light flows from the glowing orb the golden dragonborn holds and revives his ally as he touches him.
"Ughnnn..." Kaemgen spouts intelligently as he awakens, a hand reaching up and covering his face for a moment. He looks about and sees Hansel nearby.
"Guess I got you to thank for me still being alive..." Kaemgen growls, pissed at himself for having fallen so easily. "Thanks." ((Kaemgen would assume the one right with him had healed him, not someone across the room...))
Not wanting to deal with any kind of return gesture or such, Kaemgen quickly climbs back to his feet as he surveys the room. He spots the two yellow blobs still causing trouble but his eyes most firmly fall upon his fallen swords. Rising up and quickly scampering after them, Kaemgen spends his full movement to Dash back to the entrance of the secret door where he fell and reclaim his weapons. ((Half movement to regain his feet, then movement to door mostly eats up his movement. Pick weapons back up and then turn around to face the foul nose nuggets!))
Now conscious, Kaemgen give his thanks and rushes back into battle. It wasn't without some grumbling, but definitely not skipping a beat, he would stoically return to place to face his attackers. Weapons ready.
Auric reaches out, showing mercy of the dragons. The dragonborn's magic breathes an invigorating breath back into his ally.
Hastily gathering his wits, Marblebeard pops up after Auric's healing touch. Taking a stab at it, he picks a finger sized gob from the goob. It's one of the ones that stick. Try flicking it off your dagger.
And reached as he might, Hansel successfully bat that 'moth' in his sight

"Hello. My name is Kaemgen McScáth. You killed me. Prepare to die!" Saying those words, Kaemgen fights back the rage he feels overcoming him, and instead plunges one sword, then the other, up into the ooze on the ceiling!
Just barely dodging the ooze's attack, Auric realizes that he is too close to safely back away. Instead, he lifts his orb high and it flashes with light once more, calling down radiant fire from the heavens above into this small cave, and specifically onto this pesky but deadly ooze.

Mr.Dark will poke around in the slimes for both his bolts, and for any treasure...using his torch to poke through them.
21
He seems mostly focused on his bolts as he digs out the treasure. He looks at the damaged used bolts and slips them back into his bandolier. As he does so, the bolts seem to mend, though he doesn't seem to notice. (inadvertently casts Mending on each one)
He mutters, "Well, a bit of treasure for us to split. I'll keep a list so we can fairly split it up after."
"Dazzlyn! Take that torch and put it to good use, will you? Burn these things until there is naught left but their foul stench..." Kaemgen unwittingly orders, the noble in him seeping out unintentionally. "And do something about the stench as well, if you can."
"Mr. Marblebeard! You seem like a good enough chap but I'm afraid we're both going to have to do a better job at keeping me alive if you want to earn that money you are getting from my brother," Kaemgen goes on to say.
Wiping down his blades and sheathing them, Kaemgen gives solemn nods of acknowledgement and appreciation to all involved. He then finds himself a pule of rubble to throw his backpack against and sits down with his back against it, trying to get comfortable. "I'm getting too old for this... spit," Kaemgen admits to the room. "A couple of skirmishes and I need a rest. It's pathetic I know. You all can keep searching if you are eager, but I'm going to rest my bones for a while and see if I can't recover some of my strength with a short bit of rest..."
While sitting against his pack, Kaemgen wants nothing more than to just forget about this debacle for a few moments. Instead it just plays through his mind over and over again, modifying and varying based on what he thinks he should have done better of what could have prevented his, admittedly momentary, death. As the scene plays out over and over again, his eyes start to get heavy and close…. You’re better than this, he tells himself just before he drifts off to sleep. You been trained better than this.
In his dreams he is twenty years younger. It was a happier time, even despite the frequency of a loud, spittle spouting Half Orc drill sergeant in his face way more often than anyone would ever welcome. He’s back in his early days of service. It was tradition for his family. Despite their nobility all males set an example for the peasantry by serving two full terms of service in the local militia. And not no ceremonial pomp and circumstance showing up and being seen service, they really served. They each in their turn did the drills, stood the guard, marched and saluted and fought if necessary…. The retired to their own private tent and had meals catered, of course. They were nobles after all. Still and all, they worked alongside the great unwashed like every citizen of the territory was expected to.
His dream moved on to what would, years and millenium in the future, be referred to as a training montage as he recalled those military drills and practices he sweated through so long ago. The drill sergeant screaming, the rope being climbed, the drills with sword and spear, peeling potatoes, more screaming and sit-ups and burpees…. So many sit-ups and burpees! All played out in his mind’s eye as his mind’s ear heard the local bard, known by the name Sir Vivor, singing an inspiring tune…Kaemgen saw himself rising up, back on the street, doing his time, taking his chances. He went the distance but was now back on his feet, just s man and his will to survive. Back in his military time things happened too fast, he changed his passion for glory. But he now knew he couldn’t lose his grip on the dreams of his past, he had to fight just to keep them alive. In his dream he saw the eye of the tiger and it reminded him of the thrill fo the fight. He knew he would once more be rising up to the challenge of rivals and the last known survivor would stalk their prey in the night… That they would watch us all with the eye of the tiger!
This dream montage reminded Kaemgen of the lessons he learned back then, back when it was Face to Face, Out in the Heat, Hanging Tough, Staying Hungry. They stacked the odds til Kaemgen Tim to the street, For the Kill with the Skill to Survive.
Awakening with a start, Kaemgen sat bolt upright and all but shouted “I pity the fool!” But he quickly grabbed ahold of himself and his senses and regained his composure. Strangely though, he felt…. Stronger. More confident. More skilled. It was as if, in dreams, he relived his fighter training from his long past and his skills were renewed again…
((Sillified RP reasoning behind Kaemgen taking a level in Fighter…))
Grateful for the chance to rest, Auric keeps his eyes open but does feel his latent power recharging, as well as...something else. He feels stronger as well, as if his own access to the draconic power within him has strengthened in the face of adversity.
After the rest, he says, "Rise companions, from your supine recumbence. Long-forgotten secrets lie dormant in this forsaken temple; let us discover them anew!"
