As Frila’s collar opens and falls to the ground, a huge relief comes over Oak’s face, and he relaxes and smiles. He puts a huge hand on Caelynn’s shoulder and he gives it two or three gentle pats, as a tiny tear forms in his eye and he nods vigorously, pleased they could free this one...
He swallows hard, and sniffs away his emotions for now and comes around to see the slave properly for the first time. He stays back a bit, recognising that he’s not always the first creature people want to see. He’s dumped his stuff at the side of the room, so he stands there unarmed and hopefully a little less threatening.
He looks over this person, who had been thrust into their care. He tries not to stare, but he sees someone who (given some rest and a good meal) could be a formidable ally: there’s a lithe strength in her limbs, and the stature of someone with a bit of ‘something’ to them... He can’t quite place it, but this is not your average commoner!
Realising he IS staring, and coming back to himself, he dashes to his pack and pulls out some simple rations and passes them forwards along with some water, to Frilla. She must be starving...
Ears still ringing, he can’t understand what anyone is saying, but he’s very happy they’re all back and safe. And that they can help this human.
Frila goes and picks her belonging´s while thinking about what Jimjar is saying "hhmmm... maybe that demon wants something from that city? or someone ? uuhhh!! Maybe that demon is on a rampage, and destroying several cities and he started on that one? Or maybe he just really hate that city.... or love it so much he want to have it all for himself.... I bet the last one. From what i heard it seems like a lovely place for demons" Frila then does a proud smile for her thought and returned to looking at her things
"There are at least two demon lords on the loose down here," Aimon begins. "There was that shadowy creature that seemed pretty demon like that we fought before we met Oak too. Could a gate way have been opened between their realm and the Underdark?"
He looks over at the couch where his mother's ring appeared.
"If the gate is somewhere in Menzo . . . Menzo something, maybe that's why it was destroyed."
He then realizes that while Oak seems to be getting some of his hearing back, Caelynn didn't hear a word he said. Those undead screamers really did a number on her.
"Wait," he suddenly jumps up and draws Dawnbringer out. "Hey, ahh, Dawn, you don't know if there's a cure for deafness by undead do you?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Caelynn silently checks over Frila for any life-threatening injuries that require immediate attention. She makes sure that Frila sees her belongings, then sits cross-legged on the floor and continues to work on her etching project.
Oak suddenly says “Oh!!!..... oh..... I think.......”. He shakes his head again, flapping his ears left and right. “I think I can... ‘A’... ‘E’.... ‘I’.... ‘O’.... ‘U’......”, he says making exaggerated faces for each vowel. “I THINK MY HEARING IS COMING BACK!”... he says too loudly.
Caelynn, you don't find anything serious on Frila. She's a bit battered and malnourished, but she fine besides being very sooty.
As everyone does their thing, Topsy takes Stool by the hand and leads him to a corner of the room. She pulls out two pieces of dirty paper. She hands him one, and begins showing him how to fold a paper 'airplane.'
Aimon hears Dawnbringer say, "I suppose I could gather some energy to cure her, but I'll be very tired afterwards. Bring me to her."
Eldeth says from where she stands, "You guys mentioned something about a revolution earlier. What's that about?" Jimjar turns his attention back to the conversation at hand.
When the subject of a revolution comes up, Oak says, “You know, I’m not sure I really followed all of that myself. I’m not very good with politics at the best of times. Do any of you know what’s going on?? I’m losing track of who’s bad, and who’s... worse!!”. He looks around at the group for help with Eldeth’s question.
Aimon carries Dawnbringer closer to Caelynn, gesturing at her to have a seat.
He holds Dawnbringer out, turning his head away, partly to join Oak and Eldeth’s conversation and partly to hopefully avoid any power surge coming from the sword.
”The derro are a bit fed up with the whole living-beneath-the-city-off-scraps-and-being-treated-like-dirt thing that’s been going on here,” Aimon says. “They’re all crazy as can be, but they still have a point. Anyway, we’re supposed to go back to meet them in a couple of days to plain blowing up some nodes that contain the dragon.”
He sneaks a peek back to see if Dawnbringer is doing anything yet before continuing.
”Sounds crazy risky but we don’t have much choice. They’ve allied themselves with what they think is a drow noble but who’s really a demon prince. He gave us the help or else speech.”
Caelynn, still seated on the floor and working on her armor, doesn't really pay attention to what's happening until she notices Aimon's feet approaching her. Looking up, she's surprised to see his sword drawn and pointed at her chest. Slowly and unsurely, she raises her palms in a gesture of surrender. "Have I done something wrong?" She asks a bit too loudly.
As you pull out Dawnbringer, the blade of sunlight emerges from the hilt. It's luminate shaft flares for a moment, and Caelynn feels the dreadful condition fade away from her. As the blade fades away, Aimon feels a distinct tiredness coming from Dawnbringer. She says in Aimon's mind, "That's all I can do for her..."
There's a few hours left until until it reaches the point where you should sleep. What do you want to do?
“I’m fixed!!” Says Oak to Caelynn and the room in general, pleased.
In response to Aimon’s summary, Oak says, “oh yes! The derro, the dragon, the demon lords! ...What’s next to do there? Don’t we have to investigate these nodes? Or find them?... We could head out now before the day is up”.
Oak then turns to Trill, and indicating Frila asks as sensitively as he can, “Is, this one, one of yours??”.
"Thanks Dawn. Go have a nap," Aimon says as he stows Dawnbringer.
Aimon then looks over at Trill as Oak asks his question. He hadn't thought about Frila being one of Trill's crew. Trill wasn't the kind to keep her emotions inside but maybe something about Frila had changed.
"More likely that Captain Blackskull thinks all slaves look the same and we won't notice if she just gives us one human out of many." Aimon says.
He then sits for a moment playing with his special access police pass. He stops and looks down at the pass.
"Well, a couple of things come to mind on how to spend the rest of the day," Aimon says. "First, how do you feel about going and having a little chat with the dragon? See what they have to say about what's going on. If things go sour on us, I wouldn't mind having the dragon on our side rather than a demon prince. And at the very least, if these nodes are keeping the dragon under control they're bound to know where they all are."
He looks at Trill and cocks his head.
"The passes let us go anywhere, right? Didn't we get the name of some clan that might have one of Trill's crew? Firestorm or Firebrand or something like that? We could go have a look at what they've got going on."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Trill shakes her head. She eyes Frila appraisingly as Aimon lays out more plans for their day, scribbling in her journal before handing it over to the newcomer.
Frilla... did I spell that right?
Aimon's already shared quite a bit with you... we've a shared cause with the derro for the moment, the goal being to bring this city down on the duergar's heads. There's a demon that WANTS us to do this, but it still seems like our best option at the moment. I've got a crew here in chains and collars I mean to free. Are you down to overthrow 'the man' by trying to free a dragon and hope it's pissed off at being enslaved enough to take it out on the duergar with minimal collateral damage? If not... then it's a matter of if we can trust you to not speak of what you've heard...

Frila read the journal, very caurefully each word "Yes you spelled it right, and it depends, will i possibly be able to earn money and gear? And possibly make it to the history books? If yes then count me in! If not... well it has been nice knowing you all"as she looks directly at Trill This was her chance to gain fame, her father and mother were getting old, it was sad but she didn´t knew how longer they would live. When she escaped her home both of them were the model of perfection, strong both physically and emotionally. But the year´s haven´t been kind, from their exile to accusations of deliberated wars they had suffered far too much, the fate of her family were on her hands, and if these strange yet interesting people were the way to achive that she would do everything in her power to help them.
"I don't know about history books, but yeah, if we cause this city to come tumbling down, I'm pretty sure we're going to get our hands on some decent coin. None has really been offered to us, but I feel like we were given the okay to keep what we find in all of the chaos that's going to come."
Aimon looks around at the others.
"I like this one," he says nodding at Frila. "Good priorities."
He then claps his hands together.
"So, who wants to talk to a dragon?"
