Oniss, after completing the morning rituals, joins the outgoing group. He spends most of the time looking about carelessly trying to avoid the heat. He stays with the group and listens for when they make requests for quiet or to listen.
As Felix takes the berries, a rustle is heard from the bushes in front of him. From there four...native?... plant-like creatures resembling small humanoids, riding plant-like dogs come out and start attacking with slings.
Irommek stares at the creatures wide-eyed. He's pretty sure these were not the plants they were supposed to pick, however, the dog-thing's head looks a lot like the root that was buried in his back last night.
Felix seeing these small creatures will move back 30ft, pulling his short bow out will shoot at one of the dog things. Then as a cunning action he will dash away further.

Oniss looks at the creatures and sees Felix's arrow wound on the seem to heal over. Instinct has him cast a acid splash on any two that at within 5ft of each other while trying to observe them and their reaction.
Felix seeing that the arrow did nothing will move to the second tree on the left, then using his cunning action to hide behind it. For his remaining action he would like to study them while they fight.

The acid splash finds its targets and does some damage to the plant-fellow and plant-dog. It is clear to Oniss that these things have some regenerative property. The point is to find the type of damage that is permanent.
Felix tries to hide. But a plant-dog follows his movement with hungry eyes.
Irommek shakes his head to snap out of the initial shock of being attacked by plant creatures. Suddenly he has an appetite for a salad and reaches for his Warhammer.
“Oohhhh, well, will you look at that! A bush with an attitude! “
Rushing forward, Irommek swings his hammer at one of the Vegepygmies.
Connecting with the salad’s head, he hears a crunch and takes a closer look at this new enemy & the effects of his attack against the creature.
OOC: move to v4, attack with Warhammer (14, damage 10), nature check as bonus action (11)
Also, webster had no suggestion for a plural vegepygmy, so I winged it

OOC You can attack the salad-creatures with a torch. A torch is like a club (simple weapon) but deals 1 point of damage (fire). The hunters have some torches, but light them up costs 1 action.
Seeing the sweaty dwarf in chainmail knock a Vegepygmy off its mount and hearing the suggestion from the one called Musharib, the hunter nodded her head in agreement.
Stepping forward, she calmly lit her torch and looked back at Gertrude.
“Men. Always running into things half-cocked. Let’s show them how this is done. After you attack, I’ll torch it to keep it down.”

Indeed, the salad-creature's head is smashed quite easily by Irommek's blow. It falls off the salad-dog and stays unconscious on the ground...for now.
Irommek does not know much more about these creatures, but Musharib has some insight. " Kill'em with fire! "
