Gertrude heads to the market and gets all the agreed supplies (once someone gives her 63 GP).

After Gertrude has all her supplies, she walks to the executioners pen to talk to Taban:

"Hi Taban, I understand you life is not fulfilling here. But right now our party is already too big to move quickly through the jungle. We will be back in a few weeks and I'll talk to you then. Have you competed in the gladiators arena? You might enjoy this more than fighting here. Hope to see you again soon."

Then Gertrude heads down to the dinosaur pens, where she finds Gondolo. 

"Hi Gondolo, unfortunately my companions were not happy about me agreeing to buy the triceratops from you. Also, last time I really felt that you didn't want to part from it and that really, he is a pet to you. So I have to nullify our agreement. I hope you have no hard feelings. I will leave some money with Seven at the thundering lizard, there will be a bottle of rum waiting for you when you feel like it. See you next time!"

Irommek hands over 70g.

"Here's more for supplies this afternoon. We seem to be split on a guide however. If we take the shorter route to the firefinger, then I'll speak with the albino tonight to let him know we'll speak again when we return for more supplies."

Felix nodding will get up and head to his friends but before stopping there he'll buy some more black silk.

Felix: "Well I guess I'll head to my friends and exchange my armor and get some upgrades." He extends his hand towards Oniss who has the 100gp pouch, once recived he'll tuck it close to his chest and proceeds.

OOC All right, it seems we are almost ready to go in the Jungle. Only Oniss is missing to buy some supplies, yes?

OOC: Kurma is good to go if needed :)

BTW, I have now prepared Purify Food and Drink (ritual)...so we shouldn't have any problem of disease and poison from water and scavenged food !

OOC Yes, I confirm those prices. The insect repellent is enough for each party member for 40 days. Every one of you can put that in the notes on the character sheet.

Felix heading to his merchant connect will ask for a better set of leather armor and bow.

Felix: "Hello my friend, looks like I'll be head out tomorrow. I think I'll need studded leather and a shortbow with arrows."

OOC: [ I would presume Oniss would hand the pouch over so he could get his arms and armour.]

"Hello yourself. Out tomorrow? Well, wherever you go, good luck. You most certainly need it. Studded leather plus shortbow plus, say, 40 arrows make 70 gold pieces. 65 for an old friend, yes?"

Felix takes his mask and looks at him.

Felix: "Now my friend if I sell this armor back to you (point at his leather) lets say 55gp."

The merchant checks the integrity of the armour first. Satisfied, he agrees to price proposed by the disfigured man.

Oniss give out gold as needed to party required.  He leans into the group and stats his plan.

"My plan was a classic trick I learned from my...mentor." Oniss shuddered a little at his mention.  "I post as a bookie before the races start and promise odds better then the locals.  Once the first race begins I fade away with the gold and the have nothing to show but a fake betting note.  Last time I pulled this con, at some fighter pits, I walked away with over 1000gold I lived like a king for weeks.  I don't expect that much here but enough that it is worth the effort."

Oniss sits back down thinking of the potential as his party leave for supplies.

OOC All right, if you have bought all the supplies you need, I here post the betting table. Now we are on Day 2.

The morning presents itself with a shiny sun and a light sea breeze. The streets are unusually quiet, like the silence before a storm. These dino races must really matter to the people of Port Nyanzaru. On balconies and terraces, colourful tapestries are hung. The meaning of that custom is unknown to the adventurers.

It is quite easy to follow the starting point of the races, in the Merchant's Ward. There, the Curator has now published the today's betting table.

Betting on Dinosaur Races

"Irommek, keep your gold for now, I have given Gertrude enough to cover our supplies cost"

"Now here's the thing, we can either set sail this morning....I think there are races often here, so we could also just leave and do the race later when w come back to the city...or...we could give this dino race a try ? But for that we'll need everybody to chip in for the dino I think." Kurma pauses, "but it seems to me, we have enough funds to start our journey, so even though I'd love to race, I say we go - we do not need gold in the jungle" 

Kurma is going through his notes... "For the guide, it seems that the albino guide would lead us deeper south in the jungle than the human - Azara Stormfang - who would lead us closer to the firefinger. We could stop on the way at both camp and clear the undead..."

"I do not mind both guides, both leads to exciting adventure, enough to fill my books with a thousand notes...If Brunella really want to help her albinos mate than I'm happy to push forward in the jungle"
