After the talk with Nanny Pu'pu, Gertrude cannot shake the feeling of unfinished business. We will meet again, she thinks to herself.
When the group steps away from the hut, Gertrude proposes: "This was dissatisfying. But if she is correct, then we will find something to do with the soul monger at the ziggurat. So this should be our first stop?
Gertrude stops to look over Irommeks shoulders at his finely drawn maps and calculated distances. "Irommek, how long will it take us to get there?
Then after that, well, we could go anywhere... How about then south to that mine symbol, then along river Tath to Ataaz Kahakla (whatever that is), then south to the air ship and Hrakhamar.... on the way back (like when we're finished and have the soul monger in our hands) we'll do the heart of ubtao and the wizards in the aldani basin"
"But before we leave, should we look around the village for things left behind by the villagers?"(14 ) (investigation to find interesting stuff in the village)
Irommek really doesn’t know what to do with Nanny Pu’pu. He wants to hug her, get drunk with her and crush her head with his hammer all at once.
Studying his map with Gertrude, he finally speaks up.
“Aye. The ziggurat seems to be our best bet and it’s only 6 days from here. It may not get us to our end goal but right now it appears to get us closer to truly finding the Soulmonger than any other location.”
“I’ll help you look around town to see if there are any supplies that we can use.”
Looking over and grinning devilishly at Felix he adds, “and afterwards I say we make our way down to the airship. I won’t complain if I can fill my pockets if we make it out of this crazy jungle alive!”
It seems like there is nothing here for the group. Gertrude joins Felix and Brunella waiting to the side, ready to set off and continue their adventure.
The party finally leaves the ghost village of Mbala with more questions than answers. Believing the old witch's words or not, the ziggurat seems a place interesting enough to be visited.
Three days pass without troubles. Foraging is not that easy on the hills, but almost all the adventurers are now familiar enough with the jungle to know where to find things, and most importantly what to take and what not. Moreover, a not-too-awful rain allowed everyone to recharge the waterskins.
On day 20, when the party is finally leaving behind the hills and approaching the jungle once again, not-so-comforting roars can be heard coming from the dense vegetation...
Kurma has been starting to learn Giant with Gertrude these last 3 days and he enjoyed teaching her the basic of Dwarvish, triggering some good laughs with Ironmek and Brunella.
Hearing this alarming noise, Kurma turns toward the Goliath and says in a very poor giant: “Huhjerte i ovar”, which could be translated by “did you hear this prawn ?”.
"Nana, over the past night I have had a dream. A dream where I find myself floating over the Aldani Basin. The water shows my reflection but eventually sinks in the depths and vanishes. I am new to the island and this dream is new to me but so vivid, would you know anything of it?"
For Oniss:
Nanny Pu'pu:" Dreams are always...more than they seem. There is an ancient evil in the jungle, which is rumoured to feed on dreams. Be careful young half-elf. "
OOC You can try an Insight check if you want.
For DM -
This Dream Eater, is it the same as the one who is responsible for this curse?"
//Sorry for the delay and to make you backtrack. My furnace crapped out on FRI morning and I have been working to get it repaired all weekend. Can't have a Minnesota winter without heat in the house.//

OOC No worries at all.
Nanny Pu'pu:" I do not know the answer to this question. But if a dream will be stolen from you, find the dream container and bring it back to me. That will be the only way I can help you. "

" What is this dream container? Do you know its location or how will I know if I find it?"
" A dream container can be any item you can possibly stumble upon. How you will recognize one it is unknown to me. Sorry, sweety, Nanny Pu'pu does not know all the answers."
On the ground, just before the jungle's edge, Felix notices the tracks of quadrupedal, huge-sized reptilians. It seems to be a herd of a no more than a dozen of members, half of which are younglings.
The roars are coming from the jungle, roughly 70 or 80 feet from the edge. More worrisome than that, all the party feels the ground vibrating and the vegetation shacking vigorously...
Musharib, being a good one-liner, says:"This can't be good..."

Gertrude looks around to see if there is anything that could hide the group. A cave or a few large trees that they could climb. She also checks if there is an easy route to run away if they needed.

Heheh, once again, Irommek is clueless!
The only things Irommek and Gertrude are able to find walking around the ghost village are bones, broken pieces of furniture and unusable cookware.
"very good. Should we start our journey now ? We still have a few hours of light"
