Brunella notices that each god is in pairs. She also recalls the message on the obelisk, "the enemies oppose." Feeling very smart for once, she resolved to remember the god-pairs, and to inform the rest of the party back at the secret door when they return.
Brunella will stay back behind the statue of Shagambi if she can, attempting to get partial cover in case there is a trap when Felix opens the door. She also speaks the command word, her sword bursting into flames.
“Oniss, could you place the snail cube in the middle with your mage hand ? I will detect magic and try to see if I can feel any magic activation when a cube is placed correctly „
Oniss places Unkh's puzzle cubes in the central cavity and...
Silence. Nothing happens.
Kurma detects an aura of evocation around each cavity.
Oniss goes back to the side hallway where Felix and Brunella are and takes the pendant. Nothing happens there as well, except when Oniss passes near the obelisk. The pendant animates itself and pulls Oniss toward the entrance with the stone door where Kurma is. That effect ends when Oniss is more than 10 feet away from the obelisk.
Brunella's eyes widen at the magic of the pendant. She shudders at what it can do.
With the whole group reunited, Brunella, still terribly shy on the inside, tries to share her insight. "Kurma, and others. I noticed that the statues were opp---opposite each other. Like each animal god had an enemy. Maybe we must put the cubes in this way?"
Brunella has a moment of fear, perhaps what she is saying is stupid or childlike? But rather than keep her mouth shut, she continues. "Also, there is another passage north of the obelisk. I think Felix and I should go look. I can see far. And Felix is good at seeing also."
Feeling stupid, and shifting her feet, Brunella looks down, avoiding eye contact and waits for a response from the group. Her cheeks redden furiously in a blush of shame.

Coming back with the others and hearing Burnella suggests, Felix supports the plan. "Yeah, let go check it out maybe will find something worth pocketing."

Felix Windfall (Human-V Lv.7 Rogue) killed in ToA,Vallan Houndstrider (Halfling Ghostwise Lv.1 Fighter) in DiA
Felix and Brunella get together to the passage north of the obelisk.
A short tunnel ends at a slab of worked stone, whose edges are marked by relief carvings of grinning skulls. Four lines engraved at the center of the slab cross one another to form a star, with both ends of each line marking the location of a cube-shaped cavity cut into the door — eight cavities in all.
Brunella considers this image, then returns to the group with Felix. The two describe the situation.
"This new door, the cubes can be put opposite their enemies, like the statues in the passage," offers Brunella. "Maybe we go back to the north door, and put each cube god facing its enemy?"

"This is really clever, Brunella. We actually came up to the same conclusion. With two independent group leading to the same conclusion, I'm confident this is the answer. Well, done !" "There is no sign of magical unlocking, I guess we need to place them all. Oniss, let's try with one conformation and see what happens... Maybe the right combination will glow or something like that..."

Brunella nods gratefully, happy at the validation from the erudite tortle, whose education is beyond her comprehension. She feels glad that what she said made sense. She double checks that each god is opposite in a straight line from its enemy, as she saw in the eastern path to the amulet. She finds that Kurma has aligned them in the same way.
Cautiously, Brunella steps away from the door, crouching behind a bush for partial cover.
Standing next to Bag of Nails, Irommek watches the group run back and forth and follows them with his head like a tennis match. Feeling like they are on the verge of a breakthrough, he turns to Bag of Nails and notices his intent stare.
"Glad you decided to stay, we could use an expert with your skills...um, so...oh for Moradin's sake, what are you staring at?!?"
The nine cubes flare with light, then disappear. Growling like an angry beast, the slab begins to slide up into the ceiling.
Another slab blocks the hallway twenty feet beyond the first door. An iron lever is set into the door’s surface, with a graven stone skull leering down from above.
Bag of Nails replies to Irommek: "Death," then goes to the entrance with the others.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Watching stone slab slowly ascend upward "Alright guys, from here on stay 10ft back and keep you're eyes peeled..." Felix will head in first creeping along the hallway, looking down at the floor then the sides of the wall for traps.
