Oniss appreciates Irommek attemps at boosting his moral, he passes on the drink but is thankful for Irommek companionship.

Oniss nods to Mushys comment.

"He did seem rather unhinged didn't he.  This jungle seems breed despair.  Hopefully a bounty of berries and these bugs will improve his disposition."

Felix feeling bored will look for some berries and beetles. "Sigh, I guess I'll look around while they catch up."

2 beetles are found by Felix. Musharib: " Pfff...luck of the beginner."

OOC Now it is around 5 pm. You can still make 1 more search, then 2 hours to go back to the camp.

Kurma is searching for remedies a last time before heading back to the camp.

Kurma spots 3 Yahcha.

OOC Now the global loot is: 47 Synda Berries and 9 Yahcha beetles. The party is 2 hours from the camp and 2 hours from sunset.

As we begin to walk back to the camp Felix will ask his group "I think we should part ways before heading back. I don't like the idea of not being able to move south until his guards are healed. I say we give the berries and bugs to the hunters and part ways here. It's up to you guys, I just don't trust that commander, he's got crazy in his eyes!" Felix will look at the hunters when he mentions about the commander and would like to insight them. Felix is looking to see if they were sent to stop us from leaving or if they were just sent to help.

Insight: 23

Certainly, the hunters do not like the way Felix speaks about their commander. But they are not there to force the party in any way. They want a remedy for their companions. That's all.

Gertrude looks at Felix. "we did say we would go back. I am just wondering if we could get some sort of payment from him. I would think finding this amount of healing potions and telling them what exactly to look for should turn his mind. "

"Mushy, that insect repellant that we're using, can that be made with the things growing around us? Maybe we can leave them a recipe too."

"All in all, I am undecided. I believe that people see reason and would very much expect the commander to let us leave. Also, traveling by light is just saver. However, I do want to continue our trip by tomorrow morning, so if you all think we should leave directly, then we can do so."

The trip back to the camp is quiet and uneventful. The guards on the watchtowers recognize the party immediately and make the gate open.

The party is immediately approached by Lorsa Bilwatal and Wulf Rygor, the two leaders of the hunters. They are obviously relieved that all of you are back alive.

Wulf: " Ubtao must smile upon us today! How did it go? Did you find what we need?"

"Yeah we got it, let's hurry this up, the longer we wait the more the berries loses it's healing properties." Felix will move pass the hunter leaders and head to the priest.

Sister Cyas is so happy to see the party returned from the jungle, and with something to help the poor soldiers, that almost hugs everyone. Kurma and Inete explain how the beetles and the berries are supposed to be given to the sick soldiers. For the Shivering Sickness the effect should show up in the morning, but the cure for the Mad Monkey Fever should be immediate. Inete joins Sister Cyas in prayer to help further the recovery.

Soldiers CON saves from the Mad Monkey Fever: 17, 22, 21, 23, 23

All the soldiers seem to calm down. Thier skin is not burning anymore. The fever has left their body. Sister Cyas: " Helm be praised, My friends, you are a true miracle. The commander can't ignore his. I am sure he will be well-disposed toward your wishes."

"Well let's hope so." Felix will walk around the camp while the others negotiate with the Commander.

Oniss see the sister and his comrades support the soldiers.  Hearing the comments of the potential support of the commander encourages him.  Hoping he may be responsive this time around.  Oniss would like to think that healed soldiers can give the commander some hope...oniss knows hope is needed to pull a con.

"Sister per chance you will join us in meeting with the commander, to give an update?  His spirits may lift at the news."

Kurma uses his time to tend to the patients, leaving the decision making to the others.

Sister Cyas:" I will"

In the commander's tent, Commander Breakbone, Wulf, Lorsa and captain Firebeard are all waiting to meet the party. " I hear that your expedition has been a success. And all the soldier are on their way to recovery. Well done. You have done a great service to this camp and to Order itself. You all will be a nice addition. I need women and men like you."

Wulf: " If I may, Commander...perhaps their wishes need to be heard and respected. They have done for us more than anyone else."

Lorsa: " Also, our hunters are now more than capable to find remedies for the sickness. We have a real chance to survive longer than expected, thanks to them."

Sister Cyas: " We must respect their wishes. They will do some good far and beyond Camp Vengeance."

The commander has listened to every word of his captains and look at the party members, waiting for an answer.

Oniss steps forward and bows to the commander again.  

"Sir, As noted before we are seeking support and tools to bring a end to this undead menace that has spread throughout the jungles.  We have assisted this camp, your camp, in finding means to combat the natural ills of the jungle.  This will allow you to have more support in your fight and your cause.  Please let use continue down river. Please let use access some supplies?  Just as you are a man of high integrity and dedication to your mission, we are of ours.  Support going both ways can allow us both a better chance at completion and survival.  What say you Commander?"

"If that is what you wish, so be it. You can stay for the night, of course. We can spare little, few weapons and ammunition, captain Firebeard will help you in this regard. Thank you for your service, anyway."

OOC With the situation back to normal in Camp Vengeance, the party has gained enough XP to reach level 3!
