”We are wandering blind through this fort. I think we may need to do as Tana suggested and risk talking to some of the hill giants.”
”We now know they use young ogres as servants. Perhaps they would use Goliath as well. I could cast Disguise Self on myself and take on the guise of a small young ogre. Tana and I could enter this room looking for the leader as the kitchen has need of more orc slaves, but we cannot find him to give him the message. Hill Giants are not noted for their perception and the charade might hold. They may just tell us what we need to know.”
"If you do so, the rest of us will stay close by in case there's trouble," Raine says with an affirmative nod. "If we glean some knowledge of the leader's location but need further clarification, I can commune with my goddess to assist. It will take me about ten minutes, though, which we may not have depending on how your conversation with the giants goes."
Tana furrows his brow, deep in thought. Afamrail's suggestion could work if all else fails - Hill Giants are not known for their perception. It seems talking to Hill Giants is a distinct probability.
"Hang on - those two Hill Giants, back at the beginning. What if we interrogated them? After all, it seems the rest of the fortress is occupied. I doubt they will hear us talking among the racket they themselves are creating."
"This also gives us a good chance to dispatch of the two sentries. If they cannot hear us, I would vastly prefer them dead, so we can have a clear path if we need an escape path in the eventuality of our plans crumpling."
"I think that would be smart. The fewer giants aware of our presence here, the better. I wish I knew any spells to assist you, but nothing is coming to mind. I'll be prepared to jump in if conflict arises, though."
(Just before they enter the room with the sleeping sentries, she'll cast Guidance on Tana)
”I suspect we will have the most success if we are direct and do not hesitate.”
When ready, and before they enter, He casts Disguise Self, changing his features to look like that of a young ogre, making himself appear a foot taller as well. Then pushes the door open and enters the room with the sleeping sentries.
Zuril somewhat wonders what they intended on doing with the bodies, but the logic of having less threats to worry about was sound. He nods in agreement and takes position to provide cover fire with his bow.

Although rushing in and dispatching of the Giants as they sleep would be Tana's ideal plan, it did nothing to further the goals of this mission. Social interactions were not something Tana was skilled with, but talking to two isolated Giants would be better than haphazardly risking alerting the whole fortress of their presence. Brushing a drop of sweat from his brow, Tana gently attempts to wake the giants.
From outside the room, Raine does her best not to laugh at Afamrail's giant impression. Not because he's bad at it, but because the persona he's taking on is so unlike his normal self. 'This is serious,' she reminds herself. Regaining her composure, she listens closely at the door for what will happen next.
Afamrail whispers back to Tana, “is that far eye seeing trick you did earlier something you can do again?”
Tana replies, "Not without resting for a half-hour."
“That might be stretching our good fortune too thin,” Afamrail says.
Cheering and movement is likely a large group. Their leader could be with them but would a non-hill giant leader celebrate with them?
Afamrail moves down the hallway to the next door and listens.
Talking and laughing can be heard from this room.
He waits for the others to catch up.

He waits for their thoughts.

“Any other ideas?”

Tana takes a deep, calming breath, and nods towards the rest of the group. "Here goes."
He follows Afamrail into the room with the previously unconscious Giants.
Risha follows behind as quietly as possible, hoping to be of some use during the interrogation.
lol I saw this meme and kinda thought of this game a bit.

Afamrail, now disguised as a small ogre, stands next to Tana and looks to where the two sleeping giants were.
(OCC No worries if busy just wanted to make sure DM wasn’t waiting for more from us)
(OOC: Nobody has done anything to wake the giants yet, maybe I missed something.)
(OOC: Apologies, forgot to do so.)

(OOC Gotcha - I think we had been looking in to see if anything had changed from when the party was here first).
Afamrail looks at the slumbering giants. This might be more difficult than he thought. What do we do if they don’t wake up.
Afamrail takes a deep breath, walks over to the closest giant and kicks him in the foot.
In his best simple giant he says “Wake wake. Big boss send us talk you boss. Big boss have orders.”
