Thorvin, the priestess would've explained that the costs for the spells would be 150 for the raise dead procedure, and 200 for the resurrection procedure vs. the previous quoted figures. ((you just missed the DC for the complete success... but the 14 is much better than the 10, hence the further discount))
Thorvin and Alton rush back to Venovar's mothers house and enter just as the others are tying up the Mombie. You see the Mombie and your comrades just finishing up tying her down.
What is next? It is getting close to noon hour in-game.
Thorvin will tell the others what he has learned and the cost. He will then wait for Venovar's decision and the others to come up with a plan to raise the money needed to help.
While lost in his thoughts about raising the money......he remembers the spellbook and wonders how much they could sell it for? He will ask Alton if he knows a place that deals in magic items where they could sell it.
Venovar looks at her. "I know what I have to do, but I don't know if I have the strength to do it." He turns to Thorvin. "Will you h-h-elp me? We both are men of faith. I f-feel it is... only right if y-you use your holy magic to... do the deed. I... I... I don't want my h-h-halberd in her chest!" Venovar punches a wall in his grief, leaning against it. In a hushed voice, he whispers "Helm... keep her safe..." He sollemnly nods at Thorvin.
"So, they're saying we need to KILL her, and get the money to be able to have them cast the spell? I can't say I like the idea of murdering someone's mom after just meeting her, but Ven, I don't think it ought to be you. Once this is all over, you shouldn't have to live with that."
Gotur pulls out his tinderbox and pulls out three bits of kindling, covering them in his large hand as he presents their ends to Thorvin and Alton.
"If you can't do it, you can back out, but if we want to let chance decide, pull a stick."

"I suggested Thorvin since I don't know if I want my mom to wake up from the dead with a couple stab wounds in her side. But... your method will... work."
Thorvin will say: "Thank you Gotur but, Venovar asked me to do it and I will respect his whishes. Valkur will watch over us during this trial....that I know. Anyone that whishes to remain can."
With that Thorvin will say a prayer and start casting sacred flame
((Actually - let's not drag this Mombie killing thing if you all don't mind, it's getting too morbid especially with 22 hp, no need for everyone to keep hacking on the poor half-elf's mother!!))
Thorvin, you release the gentle flames over the Mombie's body. It has no way of defending them, and they gently engulf her as she lets out some quite disturbing shrieks... and then you think you hear her corpse whisper "thank youuuuuuu" as her final breath as the blue flames flicker away.
Venovar's mother's corpse is now still. It is tied down, and is smoldering a bit from the scared magic although the rotted skin isn't as damaged as you might think it'd be.
((Sacred flame I feel was the best way to kill her, since it was radiant damage, the Mombie wouldn't even have access to Undead Fortitude. She has been successfully un-undead-ed. lol))
Venovar sighs. "I need a moment." He goes out to the garden, filled with daisies and other flowers, and drops to his knees in the center. He sets down his halberd, and takes off his shield. Anybody who is paying close attention to him hears:
"Helm... Helm... I need you to listen to me. Helm, today, I, Venovar Graphanis, make a promise to you. An oath, more like it. Helm, I swear to you that I will dedicate my life to protecting those who cannot protect themselves from evil. I swear to you that I will never back down from a threat, and never spare a single foe. I swear to you, Helm, that I will exact my vengance on the undead scourge that plauges this very earth, and I will not stop hunting them down until every last one of them is no more. Helm, this, is my oath to you."
He picks up his halberd, puts on his shield, and stands up. Afterward, Venovar picks a daisy from the garden, and walks back into the room where everybody is. "Gotur, there is a cart out front. We can use that. I give my gratitude to you, my friends. If not for your kindness, I would be in a tough spot. Thank you." As we are putting her into the cart, Venovar shuts her eyelids using his fingers, and puts the daisy in her hair."She always liked daisies."

"Spoons and forks, man... I can horse it to the temple and try to find the others, see if they've any news? Or stay here and help you keep her calm?"

“But do we even have the gold?” Alton asks. “Whatever we do, we need to get to the temple ASAP,” he adds with an air of urgency.
Alton is willing to do the deed to protect his friend from the grief, but still seems very repulsed at the idea of killing a defenses woman.
