Actions before initiative: these happen because the knight is fussing about with the squire, trying to ask for his sword, slowly piecing together the charm spell, and hasn't made any actual action to initiate combat.
Gotur, you cast your spike growth spell. I have added the affected area to the map, let me know if that is the correct positioning where you wanted it.
Alton, you magically coat the blade with the magical thick dark black poison.
Ralfaen, your magical energies enhance your comrades as the bless spell takes hold.
The knight sees Gotur and Ralfaen's magic (but does not see Alton yet). He glares at the squire. "Give me the sword NOW, or I will have your ******* head."
It is at this point that initiative starts. The knight doesn't like the magic being cast, and that you are not listening to his request for a trial by combat with Gotur. He also now figures and assumes that the squire is under some type of control, magically, by one of you.
I have all of your rolls - awesome! Knight: 17 Squire: 5 Professor: 1 Mule (lol): 13 shoot sorry I forgot you rolled for the mule. I will use your roll for Zhoggab! 3.

Alton will rush forward, using his movement to reach Carl. Alton then stabs Carl with the dagger of venom before hitting Carl with the blunt end of his offhand dagger.
(Dagger of Venom [Bless: 2]): Attack: 18 Damage: 7 Poison: 11 (DC 15 Con Save taking half on a success. Full on fail) (Sneak Attack): 10 (Already Doubled) (Extra for Crit): 2

Well I absolutely messed all of that up. Sorry. Will figure out a way to streamline things before next combat.
I believe the original rolls were:
(Dagger of Venom): Attack: 17 Damage: 6 Poison: 14
(Offhand Dagger): Attack: 11 Damage: 1
Things got messed up when I added bless and sneak attack. If it’s okay, I will re-roll those now.
1st Attack Bless: 2 for a total of 19
2nd Attack Bless: 2 for a total of 13
Sneak Attack (Already doubled for crit): 12
Extra dagger damage for crit: 3
Total Damage (1st Strike): 21 piercing + 14 poison (DC 15 Con Save)

Ok... Alton you rush forward in a blink of an eye, right behind the knight, your blade coated with the magical black oil-like substance. You swiftly and quietly stick it into Carl's neck. The blade hits some armor going in, but it definitely finds a seam in the plates of the armor and it pierces quite deep into the knights clavicle area. (-21) "Aaaaaarrrrgggghhhhh!!!!"Carl yells out in pain as blood spurts from the wound... CON: 19 the magical poison seems to have no effect on the knight, although the initial wound was very serious. Blood is spurting still.
You then bring the blunt end of the regular dagger towards Carl but it just clanks off his plate mail.
Alton, I believe the poison is gone now since you did hit with the attack. The poison now can't be refreshed until the next dawn. Let me know if I have that correct.
The knight, now seeing Alton behind him and realizing the extend of his neck wound, drops to his knees amongst the numerous spikes sticking out of the ground, and tries to stop the bleeding from his neck. "Aarrrrggghhhh... pluh..pluh.. please.... don't kill me... the wound is deep. I will bleed out without medical attention. I surrender. The trial is over. You are the winner and are free to go." Carl takes no further actions other than continuing to fuss around with the stab wound on his neck. He is looking at his squire frantically. The charmed squire is still holding on to the great sword.

"Ho ho ho! Only heal you if you adhere to my friend's wishes, I will." On his turn, Ralfaen will ready an action to cast Healing Word at 1st Level on the knight, but only if the knight abandons his racist cause. He will also make an Insight check when the knight responds to see if he is lying or not. If he is, he will instead whack him with his staff, aiming for a knockout.
Gotur, the knight responds as he continues to choke on his own blood "ughhhh.... it's not just orc blood... it's all barbaric and evil beings." *cough cough* "but if a forswear is needed for me to live, then ay, you have your forswear."
Gotur, I'd say you can still say something else to Carl if you wish, and/or make an action if you want for your turn, since that once sentence and response by Car would've only been mere moments.
Yep up next is Ralfaen, sorry I forgot he was next or I would've also prompted him. The knight responds to Ralfaen: "ughhhhhhh... like I said to him, I forswear my mission. The trial is over. He has passed the trial."
((Snake, can you make an edit to your post so the dice rolls come through? It says 'Dice rolls not available', but I think if you just edit the post, even just add a period or something and it will fix it. I need to see those rolls!))
The squire looks at the bleeding knight, then the party, then back to the bleeding knight, then looks at the great sword. He's completely confused. He opens his mouth to say something, but he only manages to get a mumble and then a sigh.
The mule stays put, watching the action. It was perhaps about to bolt should a full on fight had have broken loose, but currently he is just standing there, watching.
The professor says "By golly gee would you look at that?! I didn't even see ye Alton! Ahhh jeeepers, the poor soul's beggin for mercy now... a shite, let's let him go and leave... it's almost campin' time anyhow and I'd rather not have this on my mind any longer!" she doesn't have any other input into the situation other than that she really feels safe now seeing Alton's sneak attack stab.
"I'm not evil, you bloody moron. You're the real evil, you vile, racist scum! How many other's have you challenged and killed in your stupid mission, huh? How many innocents?"
Gotur is gripping his staff tightly, shaking with anger.

Ralfaen, the knight has said that he will forsake his bigoted mission (although perhaps not bigoted in his own mind), but you can't tell if he is lying or not.
I think the insight check would take up your turn.
(In these types of situations, if we ever get through one full round of combat without an attack, I will usually shift back to non-combat based action. We will run this round 2 as combat-based turns though and if there is no attacks, combat will be over after this round)

Alton now brings the dagger of venom to Carl’s throat. “Apologize,” he says to gritted teeth, holding back the urge to slit the vile human’s throat. “Now!”
Alton, you bring the blade up to the kneeled knight's throat. He tries to move back out of instinct but you keep pressing the blade forward. "Ahh aaaaahh oh ok OK! OK alright, I will, sorry, sorry, I'm sorry." he doesn't actually look at Gotur when he says this, more so just looking frantically around at everyone because he is quite scared for his life in the moment.
Alton, from this, you sense that this guy is not a very brave "knight" by any means....
Carl's turn - he continues to listen to Alton's request for an apology and says sorry some more.
Gotur and Ralfaen are up. Ralfaen, you can still decide what you ended up doing in round 1 if you want after now knowing the results of the insight check you did.
After you guys take your turn, depending on what you decide to do, this will be the last round of combat.
"Fine. Heal you, I will."Ralfaen casts Healing Word at 1st level on the knight as his bonus action. "Also, A HERO IN A HALF SHELL, I AM! No reason to deny it, there is! Say it! I am a hero in a half shell!" As his action, Ralfaen will ready a staff attack that will trigger only if the paladin denies that he is a hero in a half shell.
Ralfaen, your magical words create healing energies which flow towards the would-be knight. (+3). The wound on his neck from Alton's blade stops bleeding, but is still gaping open. He feels the healing happen, looks at the tortle and replies: "ughhh... um, yeah, yeah sure. He.. hero, hero in a half shell.... turtle power, whatever you say..."
Gotur, the knight was ignoring your specific questions on purpose. So, now, he addresses them in between grunts: "Ughhhh... I don't know... none... no, no wait... ok maybe two or three..." he looks at the squire after saying this. "anyhow, I said I am sorry. I am finished with this code... Please, my wound is a bit better now thanks to your friend here... let me go."
(Not sure if we are still in initiative, but Alton’s next move would be:)
Alton turns to the squire. “Hand me that sword,” he demands. Once he is in possession of the weapon, Alton will motion for the rest of the party to pass by. Once everyone is past Carl, Alton will lug the great sword using both hands over to Gotur. “This looks like a fine weapon,” he says. “I think it would suit you very well.”
Gotur's staff writhes and a thorny vine wiggles loose... It would be so very easy to thorn whip the man and drag him through the spikes. So. Very. Easy.
He sighs. "Your cause is forsworn. Your gear you used to kill the innocent is forfeit. You there. Squire. Did you hold your master's former opinions?"
((Lets go with 25! Everything you’re saying makes perfect sense. I will update the map once I get back to my computer))
Ralfaen will cast Bless on the three of us before combat. Everyone gets a d4 to attack rolls and saving throws.
