Lost Lab of Kwalish

Ooc: Since Post #1537, (end of initiative), we have had Huarache, Omiy, Sigurd, and Leann.  Stabby has checked out, leaving Sam, Shutorn and Hondo to act before the statues get another attack. 

I plan to add Huarache's last posted action after that, applying it to any remaining ooze-folk.

OOC: Sorry I haven’t been posting a lot. It’s exam week bad I’m having to study real hard. 

Hondo will see all of the ooze folk and say, “Do these things ever stop coming!?” He takes out his longbow and fires at the weakest one.

Shutorn uses chill touch on an ooze-folk. Attack: 8 Damage: 6

Shutorn's sends a spectral hand to grab one of the crystal statues, shattering it's hip and causing the right leg to detach, slowing the creature as it hobbles toward the combatants below.
Sam slashes at the oncoming attacker with his scimitar: 13 for 8; 21 for 6

O3 x Samogri: Sword 15 for 6 slashing; Pseudopod 22 8 acid
O6 x Hondo: Sword 8 for 8 slashing; Pseudopod 9 3 acid
O7 x Shutorn: Sword 9 for 3 slashing; Pseudopod 7 3 acid

As he does so, he yells to the kraken, "Who are you, and why have you been attacking us if you want to help us?"

 Huarache drops his scimitar and pulls his blunderbuss hits the statue attacking Shutorn, shattering the young half-elf figure to hundreds of tiny shards.  his nex shot turns the other statue to shrapnel with only the one by Hondo stillstanding

The voice coming from the kraken calls out in gnomish: "You shall meet the fate you have earned!" in the authoritative voice of a venerable male gnome.  It continues in common: "Treasure! gold, jewels, riches!" sounding like a much younger man.

So, no swapping weapons unless I just drop what I was holding? In any case, I think this last statue will go down with a few shots.

EDIT: I really hope that the first shot does it, or my gun is jammed.

Also, I recall a sun blade component being damaged. I just realized: can Huarache just fix it with Mending? Just about nothing in a lightsaber should be longer than a foot; European longsword hilts are ~11 inches, max.

Eyes widened, Omiy moves her echo on top of the rumbling kraken, teleports herself onto the engine, and stamps her foot down at where she thinks its head would be. “Stop jibber jabber and get your big, stupid head out of your butt!” She calls, her echo left in the battle where she was just standing, she strikes down with her sword against another crystal statue. (The one by Hondo is still standing?)

Ooc: I directed Hondo's attack at Leann's aggressor  because you said you fire at the weakest one.

Huarache's first shot destroys the statue attacking Hondo, and Omiy cuts down the ooze folk by Shutorn. Only the one by Dam is still standing snd it looks like just a torso swinging a sword at this point.

OOC. Okay. Just making sure. 

Ooc: The broken part was the lens.  If it was a magic item in its own right, mending wouldn't restore the magic, just fix the lens.  If it was mundane, it would work.  I guess it's worth a shot.

Leann strikes at any still-standing enemy...

As the din of battle subsides the soubds from the kraken's engine are heard more clearly, but the words don't make much more sense.  

Ctenmiir remarks, "If that thing is anything like this box I'm stuck in, perhaps there's something inside of it as well."

Huh. Omiy thinks for a second and starts prying along the seal on the side with her sword. (She is still standing on top the kraken). 

Sigurd, seeing all that's left is the Kraken, will follow Omiy's lead and attack the body.

It breaks some more.  Sigurds attacks manage to damage the eyes that could hgave been used to replace the broken part in the sun blade. (Dont worry about it, though)

DC 15 Intelligence (Arcana) check or Dexterity check made with thieves’ tools or tinker’s tools opens the engine.

The voice inside continues: "Help!" "Forever damned," "Please!" "Let me out of here!" {in common, (various voices)}
