Omiy holds the priest by the beak as she struggles to get free.
Leann's first attack hits, (is that a magic weapon? Radiant damage counts regardless) but the kenku manages to dodge the second.
It is not magical, but, if the undead is restrained, Leann would have had advantage on those attacks... First one hit, but we can see if it is a crit or not, here are my advantage rolls...
Even for a jellified undead entity that's just escaped from the confines of a mechanical kraken, the priest looks bad, but instead of crumpling to the ground, she fights back against Omiy, grabbing her wrists, with renewed vigor, she tries tries to wrench the human's fingers from her beak. (DC13 athletics check)
> If Omiy fails the grapple, the priest tries to bite Omiy (the priest is also still grappled) bite: 19 for 9

The priest is grappled, not restrained, so it would only give advantage if Omiy had the [feat]Grappler[/feat] feat or shoved her. She has [feat]Sentinel[/feat].
While Omiy has the priest’s beak in her hand, she drags her around and activates the gauntlet with the same hand. The thunderous force erupts from her palm, DC 13 dex save for 20 thunder damage. (How is she going to make the save when I have my hand around her beak?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Huarache wipes the sweat from his fur. "Now that that's been dealt with properly, who wants a magical sword made of light? The designs are a bit antiquated, but they will serve us faithfully? On another note, would anyone like my scimitar? I am happy to stick with the scimitar if three others really want one of these sun blades, but I've already attuned myself to this one, and it would save time if we all want to look around the city. That kenku mentioned something about a carnivorous ooze; do you suppose that's what that weird goop is? And since we're spending time anyway to attune to various items, I would like to see if I can get something interesting from that kraken. The eyes definitely could be some nice lenses if Omiy still wants that spyglass, and I just want to see what metal could survive a 'carnivorous ooze' as well as the kraken did."
OOC: I guess that's a 17 Investigation to find some cool stuff about the kraken. If there isn't really anything noteworthy, then at least there's cool scrap to take for future projects.
A thorough search of the garage turns up a number of valuable components used in Kwalish’s experiments, worth 1,500 gp to any tinker, inventor, or artificer, plus an all-purpose tool. You've managed to construct 3 sun blades thanks to the mending spell, and pilfered the pair of lenses on the kraken's main engine.Exposition Dump - Kwalish's Journal
The contents of Kwalish's notes ('//' headers indicate summary information) "Daoine Gloine, now flooded with deadly slime, was no longer fit for habitation, but the uninhabitable nature of this place makes it the perfect place to keep the gateway to my extradimensional laboratory. " "Ingeniously disguised as an ordinary bauble in the ooze, I have strewn about the city a number of gateways I have painstakingly created, each to another dimensional plane." // A description of how he experimented with the city’s materials to construct extradimensional spaces within baubles of glass and crystal. // An explanation of how the apparatus’s biomechanical umbilicus (an atropal’s augmented umbilical cord) can be used to connect with the baubles within the ooze. Doing so opens a magical portal within the apparatus that allows characters to enter the extradimensional space contained within a bauble. Regarding the lost city, Kwalish writes: "As is often the case, the common tales had more sinister origins. In ages past, the kenku that inhabited the city captured a unique medusa — Gloine Nathair-Nathair, whose gaze could transform victims into crystal instead of stone. A cult of the medusa arose to worship the creature, which was effectively incarcerated within a central temple. Kenku priests brought regular sacrificial victims — both willing and unwilling — to stand before the medusa’s gaze. And when Gloine Nathair-Nathair died, the kenku raised her in undeath to prolong their cult, continuing to fill their city with crystal statues." // Kwalish found the city’s evil high priest threatening to transform him into Daoine Gloine’s latest art installation. Desperate, Kwalish constructed another planar gateway while imprisoned in the temple, then opened a portal to the 222nd layer of the Abyss — Juiblex’s Slime Pits. A flood of ooze issued forth, driving the kenku from Daoine Gloine and effectively sealing the city away from the rest of the world. The entire site now spreads beneath a deadly layer of clear gelatinous ooze — perfectly preserved, eerily staged, and utterly devoid of anything organic. The kenku that once occupied Daoine Gloine have all long been turned to crystal or driven out. The city’s only resident is Kwalish, but the inventor has developed potent defenses to guard the entrance to his lab. "The greatest defense was here all along, within the city's tallest tower I will set a portal to the site of artifact, that its secrets will be mine alone."
With this information, you can either go looking for the right bauble in the city below using the apparatus of Kwalish, or you can head for the tallest building in the city. If you select the former, I'll describe the baubles you find and you can interface with them or collect them or destroy them - your call really. Select the latter and jump right to the tower by way of either the apparatus or skipping stones and bridges as before (watch out for the ooze, though). So, what will it be?
Actually, here is a list of the baubles, just tell me what you want to do.
1 A royal orb held by a seated king-like figure 2 Delicious-looking fruit being sold in a market 3 An ornate diadem worn by a great lady of court 4 An egg held in the talons of a statue of a large bird 5 The head of a mace held by a gladiator in an arena 6 A ball in a children’s playground 7 One of the eyes in a statue of a devil 8 The lens of a telescope being looked through by an astronomer 9 A jewel spilling from a sack carried by a fleeing thief 10 The centerpiece in a complex mechanical clock in a central square 11 The eye of a squid set within an extensive aquarium 12 A crystal ball held by a statue of a medusa
What rarity is the All-Purpose Tool? Also, Huarache will give his Luckstone to Hondo; Huarache needs to have a magic weapon to be attuned to, and Hondo would get plenty of use from it. Finally, if I'm understanding this correctly, each of the twelve baubles you named is sort of like a Portkey that can be activated by touching it with the apparatus (or perhaps something more complicated), correct?
"So, it's as we feared. That is not water, that is a truly massive quantity of carnivorous ooze from Jubilex's Slime Pits, the 222nd layer of the Abyss. Ain't that a terrible sci-fi book name. Kwalish brought it here because he was set to be killed by a cult that worshipped a crystallizing medusa, who made all those poor crystal statues we've seen, and he seems to have gotten his revenge on one priest in particular,"he explains, gesturing to the dead kenku."Anyway, Kwalish made several portals to different planes that seem to be activated by the umbilical cord of a massive, weird undead creature, which he mechanically augmented and attached to the Lobster-Mobile. He made the portals with various insignificant and significant items, and if you do it right, you can activate the portal, and it'll open right in the Lobster-Mobile. However, Kwalish himself sems to have made the portal to his extradimensional laboratory in the tallest tower of the city, but he's got elaborate defenses. Does anyone have a particular desire to try out a portal and see what happens? We just won't activate any portals near the temple where Kwalish was held."
Omiy’s already got a +1 sword. Ohhh, can you make it into a +2?
“Damn, so Kwalish was really the crazy scientist type, huh? Looking for Kwalish’s secrets probably more important, but I’m curious where the portals lead too. Perhaps we can find more cool stuff like these.” Fiddling around her gauntlet, her hand still numb from the first try impact, she gestures towards the sun blades and various odds and ends. “And didn’t you say you were looking for a particular portal, Hondo?” She asks.
“I did. This might be my only chance I get to go home.” He looks back at the group. “But I feel bad leaving y’all in y’all time of need. Maybe we should explore some of the bauble first, just to be safe.”

The priest is grappled, not restrained, so it would only give advantage if Omiy had the [feat]Grappler[/feat] feat or shoved her. She has [feat]Sentinel[/feat].
Shutorn cast protection from evil and good, so the undead attacks towards Omiy have disadvantage.
Athletics: 25

Rerolling claw attack (Since Omiy made the save) with DA (good catch. sorry about that)
claw: 20
The priestess tries to dodge Omiy's gauntleted fist: 11
But fails to wriggle free and save herself. The thunderous impact wobbling her jellified body, leaving her to collapse on the floor of the garage.
End of combat.

"I'd take a new sword, if one is available." Leann says, holding up her normal, non-magical, blade.

Omiy pouts. :(
“Aww, I knew you wouldn’t! Hey, you can probably ask Huarache to fix you a dagger or something. “ Omiy nudges Hondo.
Sigurd perks up,
"I certainly wouldn't say no to either a +1 upgrade or a Sunblade!"
