In removing the rings from the appendages, Omiy would notice the devil's gleaming claws and stinger reappearing inch by inch on his body as she slips the rings from those extremities.
"One of the more impressive bits of technology from the crashed planar craft, teleportation-field devices consist of two matched magical-mechanical rings. Both rings channel the power of teleportation and flight, and were originally used to undertake repairs on the outside of the craft, handle dangerous substances at a distance, and so forth.
When a creature passes an arm or other appendage into one ring, that appendage appears to emerge from the other ring, no matter how far apart the devices are. The second device has a flying speed of 40 feet, and can be flown remotely under the creature’s control as part of its own movement. The remote device also grants the creature a sensory awareness of the area around it. This allows the appendage to be used normally, so that the creature can undertake any activity remotely that it could accomplish close up, including making physical ability checks and attacks."
Omiy, make a perception check.
Perception: 15
"Hey guys, check this out!" Omiy says excitedly as she notices the mechanisms behind the teleportation rings. Pulling down the the gleaming rings from the Grand Master's lifeless claws, she holds the rings up, inspecting it, before sticking her own hand through the miniature portals.
Mary Greymalkin emerges from the shadows, having remained a safe distance and ambiguous demeanor until the outcome of the battle was decided. Looking over the corpse of the bone devil, (from afar) she pontificates on some deep lore of the planes: "The osyluths, or 'bone devils,' have power over all others of their race (excepting only the pit fiends, naturally). In essence, osyluths are the guardians of baatezu morality and caste. They watch to make sure the ideals of law and evil are upheld by every member of the race."
Omiy's hand, meanwhile disappears through one ring of the double rings and emerges from the other. She wiggles her fingers and, simply by htinking of it, moves the distal ring to the floor and touches it, feeling the cool smooth stone.
Omiy notices the claws of the grand master are not natural, but rather metal shards that have been fixed to the tips of his exoskeleton's bony fingers. there also seems to be metal connective tissue between the bones.
Working with Sigurd, Huarache dons the crown and presses the buttons on the scepter, setting them aglow as he does so, causing the lines of hte pattern in the crown, the throne and the archway to illuminate an azure hue. The throne slowly begins to slide backward to meet the circular archway. Bright points on the branching pattern race across the glowing pattern, as the archway begins to rotate, slowly at first, then faster. The throne, meanwhile reconfigures, the back becoming a concave parabola as the seat and armrests shift to form a boom and condenser projected toward the center of the device, upon which then appears an image.
As the device spins faster and faster, the image ripples and distorts. The image is soon lost, replaced by the presence of an illuminated mist, through which a bog can be discerned. the mist seeps out into the abbey, dissipating just beyond the throne gate. Soon, the air is filled with the acrid smell of the swamp.
I have this issue with mobile devices sometimes, but it shows up on my laptop, which is where I posted it originally. Though I can't see the quote of it, so that's strange. it is not very important, just for ambiance. I'll describe them like a good DM should and I'll also post links.
Symbol: six radial spokes connected to a central mass in which a glyph reminiscent of an open, humanoid eye is centered (by humanoid, I mean set in a recessed socket. Football-shaped, as one might draw an eye; not a round, lidless eye.) detached from the central mass at the top and bottom are two other spokes of similar length to the other six. Aside each of these are 4 smaller spokes. These smooth-edged spokes give the impression of outstretched tentacles, totaling 16.
Beyond the archway: The swamp is dark and overcast, filled with shadows. the outline of trees in the midground stand in sharp contrast to the green mist which glows faintly above the marsh and wetlands. (It kinda looks like my backyard, irl. LOL) Actually, it sort of looks like it was painted by an evil Bob Ross.

Would Sam know this place or is this pass his boundaries
This place looks like a swamp, but definitely out of the ordinary. Sam would not recognize it, but might conclude by the subtle differences that it is not only unfamiliar, it's downright otherworldly.
2. The mercurial rod on Omiys back pools mercury toward the bone devil on the ground, but some globs are still pulling to the other side of the clear vessel encasing it. Anyone near enough and behind her would see it.
3. There has been mounting evidence of advanced technology within the monastery, and from afar, the island was clearly held aloft with machines on the underside emitting a short white hot cone of fire.
4. You have outstanding agreements with both residents of Sigel and the Sphinx.
Ooc: this is a divergent path, both are in the module and I'm fine with exploration in either direction.
"Before we go there, I think they have some interesting stuff in one of the rooms here, and we might actually get to keep it this time. Additionally, I owe the Sphinx some brains, and I'd rather not find out how well she can collect that debt, nor do I want to pay with my own brains."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Any other loot Omiy managed to pull from the Grand Master besides the teleportation rings? She also searches around the throne room (Investigation: 9). "Anyone wants to keep these?" She asks, holding up the portal rings, demonstrating them with her hand going through, "you can punch people from really far away."
After finishing searching the room, she rejoins the group, puts her hand in front of her forehead and says, "We could. Man I miss tossing fireballs. We're taking the specter and the crown with us? They could be worth a fortune. Also we need to find where the supposed brains are." She pokes at her own temple, "before we do that, we can take a quick break? I'm a bit tapped out. And someone can figure out what the monks swords do."
Amendment: Omiy does finds some interesting stuff in the wake of the battle. 50, 73, 62

A handheld device that solves any math problem you input using its buttons
A handheld tube that sucks in dust when squeezed and captures it in a detachable compartment
You emerge from the central abbey to find the monastery in darkness, though several facets of the place glow with a cool blue or bright white light, it does little to illuminate the surroundings.
On arrival, you pretty much followed a straight line from the dock to the abbey. On exiting, you can clearly see through the darkness the dock in the distance, just a bit downhill of your present elevation. You can also discern that the main path you followed branches at several points. The nearest diverts to the left (1), curving around the rocky peak into which the angular metallic abbey is set. That path immediately forks: The path to the left rises gradually as it disappears around the crag (1a); to the right, it ascends sharply, following a set of steps carved into the rock to access the bluff presently to your left (1b).
Further along the main path, a branch veers off to the right (3). If you stand at the edge of the cliff before the entrance to the abbey, you can see that it descends into a shallow crater with a builing much smaller than the abbey within (3a).
Nearer to the dock, several small buildings spread across the grounds, square pyramids, short and squat (4), with one sitting on a bluff to your right, accessible by the aforementioned path to the right that leads to the crater (3b).
edit: seems I missed (2). Let's say that's the central abbey you are departing. (I know the older map I gave you has numbers as well. use the new Player map as getting there is half-the-fun, but I do number the paths to help reduce confusion.
Huarache grabs some pitons and uses Magical Tinkering on them to make them glow with a 5-foot radius BL and additional 5 feet of DL. "Anyone whose eyes aren't great in the dark, take one," he offers, tossing up to five of the small metallic stakes to the humans in the group. "Also, Omiy, can I have that dust remover? It would help some of my projects immensely."
Actually, now that I'm thinking of applications for a magic dust remover, can I use it to gain a noticable benefit for Echo? If not, I'll gladly use it for roleplay, but I like to find uses for "meaningless" magic items.
"Oh, and I left one of the monks alive; I think we'll need some information out of him."
"Neat! Thanks," Omiy widens her eyes and takes a glowing piton from Huarache, having fun waving it around like a lightsaber. She shrugs as Huarache asks for the duster, "sure, but I'm keeping the calculator though. I wish I had it when I was at school, math would be so much easier."
Noticing Huarache's monk is waking up, Omiy puts the glowing piton away, squats down in front of him. She pulls his hood back to expose his flayed face, "hey, wake up, yo master's dead." She claps his face with the hand wearing the gauntlet - not hard slapping, just enough to wake him up and get his attention, "now, tell us where you keep the treasures. And the brains."
Shutorn takes two of the monks' corpses that are in reasonably good shape and spends a minute casting animate dead on them, using his Undead Thralls feature. "They looked like zombies already, so why not?" he says wryly.

Wile, I don't know whether you know this, but that is an image placeholder.

Let's try this image. I like it more anyway.
Quick reminders.
1. You have not fully explored the Monestary

Omiy finds little more than mundane evil monk things. The crown and scepter can indeed be sold for cash.
Let me know when you are ready to leave the abbey for either the grounds of the monetary or through the portal.
"I would like to finish up here, checking the rest of the place out, before moving on." Leann puts in.

They're just trinkets, but some people take prestidigitation, so maybe they'll be useful.
Your monk is waking up. If anyone has any questions for him, go ahead and ask and/or pick a route/destination.
(Assuming we have time to take a short rest:)

Has it been an hour already? Because if so Shutorn will use Arcane Recovery and spend a hit die.
