Lost Lab of Kwalish

The sphinx recoiled at the attack from the lizard man, and once invisible is struck again by Leann.  Despite the pain, she continues to focus on the invisibility she maintains.

I have neither See Invisibility nor a spell slot to cast it with, but though a blade may have your name on it, a blunderbuss is “to whom it may concern.” Huarache fires where he saw Leann slash.

The sphinx recoiled from the glancing shot, wincing as she tries ro maintain focus on her spell, but the sting is too much to bear.

The sphinx narrowly dodges Sam's attack.  She uses her legendary action to cast banishment on Leann (DC16 Cha save) [we're in a pocket dimension] 

Edit to clarify: we're on the astral, but the door rest of the place was a pocket dimension.

Leann easily resists the sphinx' spell, and attacks landing 2 solid hits.  The sphinx scowls bleeding from the lacerations (insanely not actually dropping blood at all since nobody's heart pumps on the astral) looking pretty hurt at this point.

Yep that's exactly what Omiy wants to do. Attack the sphinx twice with her shiny greatsword.

Huarache's fur is singed, but he's still standing. Well, "standing." Now that the Sphinx is visible, he fires again, figuring out how to mentally brace himself from the recoil when he has no ground to push against. As he does so, he roars, "186 kilograms, you cheater!"

Ooc: sorry for the delay. Also still not weight in kg: It's a force - Newtons work, or lbs.

The team rallies attacking from all sides.  The sphinx howls in pain and roars in anger with each blow.  She raises a paw to claw at anyone she can grab, but falters, collapsing as she is blasted by Huarache's arcane shotgun.

Treasure: most of the mechanical Ioun stones  about the sphinx's head shatter, but two Ioun stones survive and can be claimed. 

[You can follow the staff to the other door and continue, I'll assume you're doing so and post the next map. Let me know who wants to grab the Ioun stones ]

Spoken like a true nitpicker, and for that I commend you. Huarache takes the stones and declares, "Most damnably, she was right, and I swore to myself that I'd never mix up mass and weight again. And then I just shouted a measure of mass at her. Ah, well. I can Identify these later; we have to keep looking for Kwalish. Does anyone have some healing magic left?"

Following the Rod of the Mercurial, you manage to navigate to the exit door, which looks much the same as the one through which you entered.  

This long corridor is wider than most of the others. At the western and eastern ends, two large double doors can be seen.

The hall is 55ft long and 10 ft wide.

Eeny meenie miney mi.. left door, right door where shall I go?

Sam is up if nobody else wants to try it first 

So are we coming in through one of the double doors, or are we coming in through a door located midway between them?
