(OOC: Umm, no, Etrigan was running north towards area 1 but now he turns and runs the other way, south, passing the gorgon-creature in area 3, but it seems you got that.)
<this was honestly hard for me to parse, but as I understand it, Barrill used his reaction to fire an arrow in round 1. This can occur before his action, which is very high in the initiative order, confusing me slightly. He could still use his round 1 bonus action if applicable. Or was the second arrow an early post for round 2?>
(For Barril: his round 1 action was readying his attack, the reaction shot missed badly. He didn’t use a bonus action in round 1. The second arrow was early round 2, followed by movement. And I didn’t give any bonus action for round 2 either because I didn’t want to 1) dash so far away from everyone, or 2) hide, if everyone is in full retreat mode. And part of me wondered if this movement in round 2 puts Barril in close proximity to the gorgon where disengage might be a usable bonus in round 2 to avoid an opportunity attack as he rushes past.)
<I've been waiting on Etny. I'm not sure I was clear in indicating that our new surprise player should indeed post already, so this post is to make that both clear and public.>
<<Welcome to the game @VashtheStampede104!>>
>Technically Etny gets to go before the thing attacking them. The gorgon will go wherever she goes... in practice it will have acted as described, just on its initiative, which means I don't know where it ends up. Thus, I do not know, even at the top of round 2, what Barril's positioning relative to the gorgon will be. The thesalhydra and Thesselar(+homonculus) also act on initiative count 4.<
On a related note, Huarache has left the game. The deadly threshold calculation is unchanged - you're still just below it, though drained of resources, apparently, so this could be challenging.>
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
round 1 monster actions:
Thessalar sees the adventurers and demands sharply, "Release!" at which the Thessalhydra drops him from his toothy maw. The mage begins walking forward down the hallway to the south as the hydra hawks a glob of acid spit arcing over the artificer. DC17 Dex for half of 47 acid damage.
60ft range, 10ft radius centered in 'BEST'
Gorgon acts as previously stated - goring and trampling Etny.
Groaning and struggling to rise from the last attack by the thessalgorgon, Etny Elvenbridge pushes against the insurmountable pain of two broken ribs, cuts, bruises, and weakened body to stand up. Taking courage, however, at the coming of the party, and the invisible power that moved her to safety, she struggles to her feet, gripping her side.
"Ha-," she utters weakly, "halalu arata magara," she breathes desperately in a strange tongue.
(She disengages with the thessalgorgon, and runs as fast as she can while being injured toward the fighting group who have chosen to rescue her. Let me know if I have any points of exhaustion, or if there a required roll to use while injured--like a CON Save to push through, or whatever.)
(Hi everyone! New to this game, but certainly not new to D&D! Looking forward to gaming with you all!)
(Con save, just in case I'm asked for it: 12)
(Are my spell slots expended in any way, or am I fresh legs in that department? Lmk.)
(Welcome! Hopefully you are not just witnessing a TPK. We’re a bit low on spell slots and hit points at the moment! Tetrevess pulled you out with telekinesis away from that beast as a bonus action)
Etrigan/Shaman dashes south through area 3, making sure he doesn´t get too close to the thessalgorgon.
(OOC: Yes welcome, and sorry about the circumstances, I have a hard time seeing us surviving this, unless they suddenly decide to give up chase or something.)
Barril will launch another arrow at the thessalgorgon and follow Etrigan/Shaman, whichever way he goes.
Attack: 10 Damage: 4
If an ally is still within 5’ and not incapacitated, sneak attack: 19

<sorry for few posts. Busy irl. Back to school for kids, etc.>
<No exhausted spell slots or levels therof; a fresh start for Etny>
It sounds like nobody is within 5ft of Thessalgorgon for R2, but the arrow hits, though the monster does not even flinch.
