Huarache jumps out of the way of the pseudopod, holstering his gun and attaching his shield to his back (this takes an action, but it's just for thematic purposes, so whatever). He takes a running leap at the wall and firmly plants himself with his claws, pulling himself up until he reaches the top of the tower. Huarache reequips his shield, and looks down into the tower, and as he does so, his eyes light up like a kid on Christmas morning. "Oh, now this is what I came for!" he mutters excitedly. He finds an anchor to tie his rope to, and begins descending into the tower with the rope passing between both hands on a belay system.
When he gets down, he will immediately start looking at just about everything.
...Omiy’s echo stands upon the thick ooze where the giant kraken descends itself, disappearing with a couple murky bubbles left behind...
Actually, the ooze is super clear, you can see all the way to the bottom without difficulty, thats what I was trying to suggest when I said you could see the kraken hide behind a submerged building. To that end...
Looking into the ooze, 30ft below the surface lie the anxient streets of Gloine Nathaire.
Unlike the figures seen standing staidly along the edges of the towers above, the hundreds of glass statues that fill Daoine Gloine have been arranged on the streets and in open courtyards as if staging scenes of city life—a market square, a royal personage holding court, and so forth. In addition to the statues, huge numbers of glassy baubles are spread throughout these scenes, serving as stand-ins for fruit in a market, as huge jewels worn at a ball, as a scepter and orb held by a statue noble, and so forth. Looking around, the legends appear almost true: here is a city inhabited entirely by folk of glass, and whose every possession is glass as well.
And, "Yes" to the AoO. (The thing literally can't attack at the moment, so it will flee if it can. We'll see if it survives this last hit though. So, after that, combat ends... But feel free to hunt it down and (robo)kill it, if you choose.)
Ctenmiir is struck by a pseudopod, which drags him into the ooze, the coffin's crab-like mechanical legs chittering in the air as they descend below the surface and down dow down to the bottom of the ooze-filled city. But, when they touch the city streets, they simply keep moving, carrying the coffin along toward the tower where Omiy stands.

Like, with a padlock, or with magic? If the former, Huarache will pull out some Thieves' Tools (10). If the former, well, Artificers don't get Knock for whatever reason.
In either case, Huarache will continue looking at various contraptions and blueprints, taking his own notes.

Stabby will draw one of his shortswords as he steps inside, looking around slowly. As his own eyes seem to scan the area around them the eyes on his robe seem to move across the fabric.

Sheathing away her sword, Omiy leaps down from the ridge in exacting steps, hops from side to side with her echo, until she reaches the bottom, and Flappy soon follows down. She browses through the ancient artifacts and relics, poking around what seems interesting, and leans close to read the scribbles on the notes.
Omiy and Stabby come across a dust covered tarp with an unusual outline. Walking around the object, poking it cautiously until satisfied that it is not a threat, you doff the tarp to reveal a vehicle large enough to hold 10 medium size creatures.
You find that the single main hatch is open, but any attempts to operate the machine are unsuccesful. It is in disrepair.
Omiy would notice at once that the notes she found are filled with pictures of sections of the machine along with text written in gnomish.
These notes might be useful in making the device operational again.
“What a shame.” Omiy mutters under her breath, disappointed to see the vehicle clearly in a dilapidated condition. She picks up the note and matches the diagrams to the machine, finding them to be related, her eyes brighten up again.
“Hey, does anyone read gnomish?” She says, excitedly, knocking the side of the old jalopy. Dust accumulated over the years flying off the side, she coughs on it a little, but continues, “maybe we can get this bad boy up and running again!”
An arcana check DC12 plus 4 hours will suffice to mage it run. The diagram alone should be enough to go on. Kwalish, being a gnome would have written his notes in gnomish, so if you speak gnomish, you can roll with advantage.
The journal is locked with a mundane lock, in that it is non magical, but it appears exceedingly elaborate, with gears and springs covering the surface and binding ask for sides of the book

Here goes my opportunity attack:
Attack: 19 Damage:16
That doesn't hit. Oh well, Omiy doesn't really care enough to hunt after it. She has a short attention span and diverts pretty quickly.
"Looks like y'all's vampire friend is joining us." She commented.
I will note that Huarache will not immediately descend into the ooze if the workshop seems to be submerged. He's not crazy.

To elaborate, the tower is sealed around the base, the interior is not filled with ooze. You may explore it freely.
Huarache would likw6ly find a journal, but it is locked.

Leann descends into the tower and starts looking around as well, looking for anything of interest or value.

Hondo slides down into the tower, looking for anything that will help them find Kwalish or help their journey.

Sigurd will also descend and see what is around.

Sigurd makes his way over to look at the machine and the notes.
Arcana check: 11
If he succeeds, he'll attempt to aid in fixing the machine using the notes.
