One of the figures seems to be slowly flying overhead. As the three draw near, it swoops down and lands, standing about six feet in height - rather tall for an Aarakocra. The pale moonlight can show the features of what seems to be a gigantic Snowy Owl; moon-white feathers dot a round face and piercing yellow eyes. Shaking himself off, the Aarakocra retracts his gigantic wingspan in favor of walking along the ground. Gracefully striding forward, he opens his pointed beak, and extends a clawed hand. "My name is Ka'Burra. Please, call be Burra. I am a wanderer of the Traveler, and he has sought fit that I should be here tonight. I understand that a dragon plagues these places, and I have had my close experiences with it. I am here to provide aid for those in need,"he greets, his words heavily punctuated by trills and caws that would be more commonplace in Auran. He is carrying an embroidered shield which he carries in one arm, and a trinket that glimmers a color similar to his yellow eyes rests on his feathered chest. "Tell me - who are you, and who needs healing? Due to my nature I have duties as an aerial scout, and I would not like to waste a moment. Kano, you say some are injured. Please, take me to them."
(OOC: I chose a more suitable color for forums. Really though, who is there in the party / what is currently happening?)
"i have some injuries myself, but Adracos here was rendered unconscious," volunteers Kano, nodding to the downed warrior.
Turning to the guard who answered his call, Kano adds, "You fought bravely and well. Together we held the line and protected those in our care. Thank you."

Uncommonly large even for one with orc blood, Tengar stretches to his nearly 7-foot height and steps towards Burra. “I am Tengar. The town has been attacked by a dragon and kobolds, gangsters, and cultists - cowards all - have infiltrated this area.” He wears tattered grey robes over a set of chain mail, mace hanging at his belt. A strange amulet peeks out from his breast. Short dark hair covers his head, and small tusks jut from his mouth. A multitude of scars marr his visage, which is punctuated by startlingly lightly colored - some would say kind - eyes. Quite a juxtaposition for one such as he. A shield on his arm and a wicked looking javelin in the other, he cuts a tall muscular picture among the chaos of the area.
A halfling dressed in a green cloak and brown leather armor climbs down from one of the gate towers, a shortbow slung across his back and short scimitar at his side. "Hail and well met, friends! I am Pimster Teace, of the Glen Arbor Teaces, and I am a druid of the land! It has been quite the night, alright! But it seems we have beaten back the initial assaults from these cultists and kobolds - time for some much needed rest, a meal, and some time for reflection and preparations for another harrowing day tomorrow! But - I need to check these cultists and other humans before we retire...there is definitely an organization and stronger power bringing these evil ones together."
With a nod of his head, Pim will also investigate the cultists and gangsters for amulets, emblems, tattoos, markings, etc. and any other useful items.
Karib heard the cries from the gate but could not leave the wounded villiagers he was tending. When he is finally satisfied that they will live, he gathers his staff and shield and heads to the sounds of battle, only to arrive as the gate is finally closed. He smiles in relief -- he had feared the relative quiet meant something more sinister.
Quickly assessing the scene, he does what he can for any wounded then helps in the repairs, suring up the defences. He moves with confidence, and seems to have an easygoing air about him. At turns helping, instructing, and taking instructions with equal ease. He moves comfortably in his armour which is emblazoned with the symbol of Gond. His iron-shod wooden staff, well used and cared for, is never far from his side.
As he works he hears a voice he recognizes: the one who rallied the soldiers. Turning to Kano, he nods and smiles broadly, "Are you the leader here?" he asks.
Kugu is a half-orc standing at around 5'11. She is dressed in furs. She rests her great axe on her shoulder as she looks over the group. "Seems you've taken a beating. Looks like my axe won't go hungry tonight - The name is Kugu."

He examines the elf for a moment before adding, "You don't look like one well suited to blocking a gate with your body. It was a brave act...and it looks like you paid a price for it! The names Karib, by the way..." he says, holding out his hand. "Would you like me to tend your wounds?"
“Greetings, Karib. Yes, I could use some healing as long as Andracos gets taken care of as well,” replies the half-elf, looking towards the downed fighter.

He huddles down next to the body, "Best not take any risks..." he says, holding his hands above the most grievous wounds. "Gond, hear my call....your greatest wonder lies broken before me..." the rest of the words are hard to make out.

Seeing Karib taking aid of the fallen soldier, Burra will head over towards the Half-Elf. Placing a clawed hand on his shoulder, he will mutter a similar prayer to the one Karib emitted, with more punctuated syllables and Auran trills. "Traveler, hear my words! Calm your seas of chaos and aid those in need!" he calls, healing Kano for 8 hit points. "Is there anything else I may help you with?"
Karibcan see the only wounds remaining on Kano would the wounds on his garments, sliced by near misses and, on the deeper cuts, direct hits. Adracos is more serious case - and you're glad is being taken on a stretcher by a dwarf and human. His shuddered breathing meant somethign internal was not right but, by the way he was handled well by the people helping, the human would be in good hands.

As wing beat is followed by a roar that seemingly causes the grounded beneath your feet tremble. A roar that sends a wave of stunning silence crashing all over the keep with crackling sparks heard flowing through it. The source speeds past and into the distance, leaving everyone to eventually get over the moment of dread that something terrible was surely to follow.
Shaking it away, Escobert continues, "R-right. We've got news from the eyes that two sites are being focused on by this blasting cult; one our town's storagekeep, the other is the shrine of Chauntea. Here, a map - just let me know when the jobs are done!"

Burra turns his head a full 360 degrees, scanning the surroundings. After being satisfied every individual is being taken care of, he is content to leave the area. The cult seemed to be the biggest threat for the moment, and Burra briefly considered fleeing the town and area. He could fly, and why not ensure his own survival? But still, seeing the bodies of the cultists and innocent villagers draws him to leave the town better than he had entered it. “You three - can you fight?” he says, glancing at the characters he has just encountered. “We have not a moment to waste. I can fly ahead and gather some details on the locations.”
"We have used up most of our magical energies already, but I have a few common spells I can always use. I'll gather up some arrows, too. Maybe grab an apple or something to eat on the way...can't fight on an empty stomach!" Pimster replies.
”What say we go to the shrine first, then the storekeep. We can pick up supplies there are bring them back here?” Kano says, looking at the map. “We should be able to take the tunnel that direction,” he adds.

Karib shrugs and smiles at Kano, "I like a man with a plan."
Pointing at the map he adds, "Townsfolk may have sought refuge at the temple. The storekeep is on the other wide of town, but the name makes it sound like a place that will resist an attack."
He takes his shield off his back and readies himself for battle, chanting over his staff, then uttering a brief prayer for Gond's guidance. "Ready?" he says.
Kobold and cultist send chaos through the streets of Greenest! You are to navigate through the town by using your Skills, Spells or Proficiencies to remain undetected, cause distraction or create other means of avoiding combat with the assailants of the town. You can move one square in any direction. The same skill or character cannot be used in sequence. Creative use of a spell or skill will allow in lower DC or advantage, a failure would activate a random encounter. Also, you can decide as a group to attack with a surprise round, if you wish!

Tengar
Tengar purses his lips in thought. "We are certainly closer to the temple but it is also at height for us. If anyone sees us coming, they will have the advantage. The storagekeep is sure to have supplies aplenty for us and the townsfolk. I'm of the mind to start with the storagekeep, collecting townsfolk trapped on the way." Tengar smiles, and adds, "But I can see I may be outnumbered and I will defer to the majority."
Challenge: Tengar will survey the immediate area for tracks or signs that others have come this way, searching specifically for kobold tracks and cultist tracks grouped together (as he has seen these tracks before). Survival - 18
