// OOC not sure if we're allowed to bump in the forums, so this is totally not a bump, but just a check-in to make sure everyone is doing well. :D Hi everyone! //
I'm imagining that right in the middle of the skirmish a drunk minstrel stumbles into the fray, humming and picking out the tune to Girl From Impanema on his lute. Everyone just kinda... stops and is awkwardly waiting for him to cross the battlefield like a bunch of strangers in a hurry on an elevator listening to the pumped in music, before we can start fighting again.
Buster's Maul attack crumples the fifth kobold with a sickening crunch, Laurel and the Mysterious Woman's attacks leave the second kobold in very bad shape and it tires to flee, (using the disengage action), Brother Brisket cleaves the first kobold in twain with his cleaver, then with his fists sends the two parts falling backwards into the street.
//Thank you all for being patient, and the drunk minstrel idea is really cool, I will hopefully be able to post more frequently for a few days since a I just finished a week full of exams//
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing the second Kobold running away, Buster runs in its direction {//OOC enough to get in range because I doubt I can catch up to Kobold-2//}, dropping his maul as he pulls and launches a javelin at the kobold, stating, "Oh no my reptilian friend - yer not going to be getting any help to trap us later!"
{ Attack: 10 Damage: 8 }
// OOC I think it's my turn... Whenever combat resolves, Buster will quickly try to retrieve his javelin and determine if it's usable or not. Also - dude, exams! Do not miss those days. Hope you got through them unscathed! Also, this new combat dice set up they have is sweet. //

Seeing the immediate threats fall, Brother Brisket plants his feet in a defensive stance, and looks around, specifically to see if the family that fled is ok.
21 on perception check to assess the battlefield. I put wrong modifiers, it's actually a 10 roll.
//If that takes an action, then he dies nothing else. If I still have my action, I use dodge to prepare myself for unseen threats.//
//I know that kobold5 actually goes before me, but I'm just going to throw this here because I don't want to hold everyone up a whole round if it starts getting busy later while I'm gone//
Verenz notices the kobold that is attempting to stab the apparently wounded women and snaps his fingers, casting Frostbite on kobold2
//Kobold2 must make a constitution saving throw, DC is 13. If it fails it takes 2 cold damage and has disadvantage on the next attack roll it takes before the end of it's next turn//
Unless SR already resolved that offscreen in which case it's Buster's turn and the start of round 2.//
Once the final kobold crumples to the ground, Laurel shakes his hand to dispel the lingering smoke trailing from his fingertips and approaches the Mysterious Lady. "Greetings! Have you wounds or wounded that need tending?" Pointedly glancing in the direction of the dragon, he continues, "Lingering here seems unwise but I'll do what I can, quickly."
// OOC Thanks PC, didn't notice (apologies Brice), with that said, going to metagame a bit as I know 2 points won't do the kobold in, but 8 'normally' should, so I'm going to leave the javelin throw in play. I'll take better care at not jumping the gun next time - sorry everyone! //
//You're fine, I understand! No worries about that. I understand about exams though, I have them next week. I'm a little confused as to exactly where we stand in the current situation//
// OOC Synopsis - I think Kobold 2 is running away, Verenz cast frostbite on it as it did, causing 2 points of damage if Kobold 2 fails its save DC 13 DEX save, and then the following round begins at which point Buster throws a javelin at the running Kobold 2 (to hit 16, damage 8), then, Brisket thinking that all the kobolds have run off or are dead is perceiving (perception 10) the field to see if there are any other threats and just to generally see what is going on and taking the dodge action (provided that the perception check is a free or bonus action), after which Laurel goes to check on the woman... and that's where we are at. //
// OOC Peeking his head from around a corner, taking in the carnage that these armored titans brought down upon the kobold "savages," Five-Sheets Frank fully emerges from his place of hiding and proclaims, "You know, this reminds me of something..." and continuing , but singing:

//Hello hello!
I like the image of a drunk minstrel inexplicably appearing every time there's a pause in the posting.//

//Can we name the Minstrel? I feel like he would make a great recurring NPC during pauses.
I'm partial to Frank//
// "Five-Sheets" Frank, so named because he'd have to sober up to only be three sheets to the wind? //
//I love it, personally//
