“Haddie, would you please take that monocle of yours along, since it seems to be able to pierce illusions? Who knows what other trickeries might be in place.”
Alanis requests nonchalantly.
“I suppose if we’re really going through with this madness we might as well do it now.”
Haddie moves ahead silently and turns suddenly as you Randrak trip over a stray cat. The creature screeches loudly and then noisily runs headlong into a pile of half filled crates. One of them tips and smashes to the ground.
You all stand there in the following silence and Haddie shakes her head in wonderment. Then from a nearby street you hear footsteps approaching accompanied by low voices.
"This way!" Haddie hisses as she darts down a nearby alley.
What do you all do to avoid detection as you follow Haddie? That is if you do follow her...
Alanis makes haste after Haddie, but not before picking up a stone and infusing it (via Magical Tinkering) so it emits the sound of a minor ruckus. (Given the recent events, and if that isn’t too elaborate for the feat it might sound like some cats fighting noisily)
She throws the rock in the mess of crates the fleeing cat left behind and will let the enchantment go again after a few moments, when hopefully everyone made it out of sight.
"I told you I'm no good at stealth," Randrak says a hushed toned. Randrak then bolts down the nearby alley following Haddie, his heavy chain mail clanking as he moves.

“The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules.” ― Gary Gygax
Alanis your trick works a treat as the sound distracts your pursuers and you all slip away into the darkness of the alley. Haddie leads you on a winding route through the city then as you make your way toward the Shield Hall. You eventually reach the rear of the hulking structure where a low wall overlooks the burning ocean below. The gnome skips up atop the wall and looks down to you all.
"We need to climb down a short way to the entrance." she explains before throwing herself over the edge to do just that. You all peer over the edge of the wall to watch her climbing down the rockface toward the bubbling lava below.
You all clamber over the wall and start to make your way down after your gnome guide. Grub is the last to go and is visibly shaken by the prospect of scaling the wall. You all eventually make your way down to a small ledge that snakes downward beneath an under hang in the rock face. The looming shadow of the Shield Hall above is soon out of sight as the ledge opens up into a broad indent in the rock with a narrow cave set in its centre.
The heat from the lava below is almost unbearable down here and the air is difficult to breath. Haddie has to raise her voice slightly to be heard above the bubbling molten rock.
"We enter here." she explains, "The whole place is lousy with traps, but the passage will lead through a secret way into the Shield Hall and straight to the ambassadors tower."
You all stand on the ledge facing the small cave... What would you like to do?
Ranrak looks into the cave, "Hmm, well I'm good at spotting some things that are hidden, but not always traps. Although, if I do trigger any of them, then I can take a few hits. Unless anyone else wants to go first?"

„I fear there isn’t much I can do to help with that…“
Frowning, she turns to Haddie.
“How come, exactly, that there is a trap-ridden hidden pathway to the Ambassador tower? Even as an emergency escape that seems a bit… strange. And what kind of traps are we talking here?“
Randrak turns Alanis, "Well, you've got to have some security if you have a hidden pathway that leads to the Ambassador, right? Of course the Ambassador probably knows where the traps are and how to circumvent them. We don't."

“Well, Haddie seems to know the way here quite comfortably, so I certainly hope she knows a thing or two about those traps as well. But if this is a security escape system, than why specifically to the Ambassador tower? Is there something similar installed for the High Shield‘s rooms? Or other honorarys‘ rooms for that matter?“
"You would have to ask the High Shield about that." Haddie shrugs in response to your question Alanis.
"As to this place? The Dwarf has the right of it. This is an escape route for the ambassador, should civil war ever raise its ugly head in the city. It's filled with traps to keep the passage moving one way; and and that is out. Kriell would have known all about it, so we have to presume the Drow impersonating her does too... that said why would she be expecting anyone to use it while she has the city busy tearing itself apart up there, and as far as she is concerned everyone thinking she is the real deal."
She then motions toward the cave entrance; "Shall we? We are safe until we find the door and then... we'll see."
"I am with you Randrak. At the very least I have your back."

"Never go anywhere without it." Haddie replies with a wink.
She leads you all out then back into the city and toward the rear of the shield hall. Everyone give me a stealth roll as you go....
