Alanis, the events of the past few days have been playing on your mind and you find yourself scanning the room and the person of Kriel for anything unusual, the image of the white star stuck in your mind after the disappearance of Freak, but there is nothing.
When everyone is gathered around Randrak begins to explain his thoughts, "I don't know about the rest of you, but something seems off. If you didn't notice but there was a lot of bloodstains on the floor in there. Which might be nothing with everything going on, but there was a horrible smell coming from the fireplace as well. I can't figure it all out, but I'm afraid we might be in danger. However, we need to be certain.
So I propose a plan, a trap of sorts. I say we go down to Gelded Goblin and we get rooms as before. However, most of us won't spend the night in those rooms. No, we make up the beds to look up as if we are asleep, but we sneak out of town and spend the night in a camp outside. We will still need to verify if someone tries to kill us in the night. So at least one of us reminds behind spending the night in the bed at the Geleded Goblin, for that... I volunteer. It would be good if one of you also stayed... hidden in the room. If someone tries to come in and kill me, having two of us in the room might help fight my would-be-attacker.
I might be a paranoid old fool, but at least we would be safe. What do you all think?"

“I don’t know’s that we need to leave the city, not that it’s an easy thing to do. I like your idea, Randrak, of making up beds with dummies but, perhaps we can get to a nearby roof and keep an eye on ‘our’ room. Maybe even set up a trap or two,” Mercwri grins.

"I know we have our differences, but I'll stay with you Randrak. If any two of us can survive an ambush it's us." Hitticus taps back into his awareness looking for nearby (within a mile this time) aberrations, fiends, dragons, undead, or celestials
"I get the same feeling. Something creepy is going on"
“I trust your instincts. But I don’t like the idea of leaving only two here, even if they are our best fighters. One would assume, if they really are after us, then they will send enough and or well enough equipped people to deal with a group of our size.”
Hitticus you sense the dragon egg and a faint sense of the undead.
The Cleric Torvin stands and listens to the conversation for a time. "I see you are still your usual trusting self Randrak." he chortles remembering your encounters back on the Firehook. "Some of you could take refuge in the temple rather than camping out. That would place you at hand if trouble does indeed surface."
"I will go there." Uldran agrees as he clutches the egg tightly, "This needs protecting."
"I'm not leaving that egg idly with one person" Hitticus says with concern. Torn between standing with his friend or protecting the egg. Normally he would have bolted at this first sign of trouble... And his instincts are kicking in that this is over his head.
Still he looks to everyone "So, what's the plan? One more time for my sake"
"Well," Randrak says in response to Uldran. "I think we should all go to the inn first. There might be people watching us. So we need to pretend that we're all going to spend a night in the inn. If you head straight to the temple, they will just ambush you there."

"Sounds sensible." Uldran agrees. You all make your way to the Gelded Goblin and Torvin orders a round of drinks while he arranges for those who want to leave to be slipped out of the back door later in the evening.
The evening is yours, is there anything you want to do before slipping away to your respective rooms/the temple?
Reggarn will do his best to keep Grub hidden away and hide his horrible eating habits but still making sure that the goblin gets full belly. He will tell Grub what is going on and to stick close to him when the time comes to slip out the back to go hide out at the temple.
When he is sure that Grub is safe enough, he will pull Alanis aside and say "Good lady, thank you so much for all your help with this Goblin. Your propensity for peace is a boon to your kind. You have won my unwavering trust and protection in all matters. If there is anything I can do to make you more comfortable or at ease please allow me to do it."
“Of course, Master Reggarn. I… think I understand where you are coming from. Though I also think you have your work cut out for you.”
She smiles a little.
”I wonder what comes next. We don’t even now of this group is going to stay together. I for one certainly feel out of place at times. But if we do, I hope you can get to some kind of cease fire with Randrak. You are both good men, I think, just with very differing perspectives.
May I know what you are going to do with Grub? I can’t imagine this is a comfortable situation for him.”
(As for other things to do this evening, Alanis would want to find out if her teacher made it out before all this happened. And if she is indeed asked for assistance she will help of course.)
"I can't say I have a plan for what will happen with Grub. He has been a Goblin of his word and hasn't done anything to earn the ire he receives. If we can find more peaceful Goblins then I'd like for him to go off with them and find peace. I too am worried about our little band and what struggles may come. While in the temple I will seek guidance from those who may be in a closer relationship with Erathis and see if she has some guidance for me, and maybe the group as a whole."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Randrak will keeps his wits about him. He will watch for people who might be acting suspiciously or nervously. He will also eavesdrop on conversations to see if anyone is talking about something that might be of valuable information.

Reggarn will stay on guard to make sure Grub and the egg are safe. Wherever they rest for the night he will stay close to Grub.
Mercwri, mumbling under his breath about’high muckity-mucks’, will follow Randal and the others.
”I need some grog, this is too interesting.”

I agree with your plan. I would advise that you don't kill any potential assassin so that you might learn what is going on.

Alanis would go to the temple.
She isn’t really sneaky, and the would-be victims would most likely have to fight close quarters, making the martially inclined the better pick.
