Alanis will keep quiet; she thinks, being not only a gnome but a gnome civilian, that her Input would do more harm than good.
With the Grub situation not addressed yet, she will try to gently manoeuvre the goblin into the middle of the group, so that he is a bit shielded from view.
(It was a roll to conceal Grub not to move undetected so no disadvantage required).
Alanis you manage to interpose yourself between Grub and any onlookers. People dismiss him as a scruffy gnome and to your amazement nobody has notice the pair of bare green feet poking out from beneath the cloak. People are more concerned with the recent battle in the streets that has taken place.
With no further argument over the sounds coming from the Forge Tower you move on and down into the lower city. The vast glow of the lava ocean spreading out from the docks fills your vision. On the left you pass the large Gelden Goblin Inn where several of you stayed upon arriving in Duragath. You note that several of the windows have been boarded up and scorch marks stain the outer walls.
You turn to the right then and begin to approach the looming fortress that is the Shield Hall; the last bastion of mainland power here on the Isle of Duragath. A heavy guard has been placed outside the outer gates and the cleric Torvin leads you on with confidence.
Grub starts to drag his feet and begins mumbling to himself as you grow closer. "No... not good... not good."
"Yeah, I'm not too surprised at your nervousness," Randrak mutters under his breath by Grup. Then he catches up with Reggarn. "So, what are you going to do to stop any of these lovely guards from killing the goblin?"

“Just say he is our prisoner and he’s to be questioned in regards the present circumstances,” Mercwri says. “We don’t have to mention where we captured him, just that professional interrogators will be required.” He looks around at the mess the city is in, “One might think the guards have not the authority to deal with potential sources of information,” he shrugs. “We don’t have much choice anyway.”

"I wasn't planning on telling them about him. He has told me much about his culture and he has nothing to do with what is going on right now. If I have to get him out of the city on my own I will but if I can keep his face hidden as well as it seems to be we might just avoid more unnecessary death. The guards might be quick to remove anything that THEY think is a threat even when it isn't."
To Grub. "Don't worry friend. I have magics that will keep them from harming you. I will keep you safe and put my life on the line for you."
Randrak stares at Reggarn, "You have gone mad. Why would you put your life on the line for a creature that wouldn't even think twice about killing you if it had half the chance?"

"Randrak, He has not killed me so far and has even left in peace. I would say that he HAS thought twice about killing me. I will show him the kindness that all creatures deserve."
“I would consider you a man of your word, wouldn’t you? Because, wether you approve of it or not, Master Reggarn gave his word to Grub to keep him save.
And Grub, so far, has done nothing to justify going back on that word. You don’t have to agree with him, but as long it is only his life he puts on the line for his belief, well … it is his to give.“
Looking at Reggarn, she continues.
“I will not lie, your Grace, I think your time together will stay with you much longer than it will with Grub. Still… I am not sure that I actually can, but I am willing to help you get him out of the city.”
Randrak nods his head, "Yes, I consider myself a man of my word. However, I am careful to only give my word to those who I trust. And the people I trust are those who fight beside me. Not the ones who might be willing to stab me in the back if given the chance."

Grub calms down at your words Reggarn and gives you a spiteful glance Randrak from beneath his hood.
As you approach the guard Torvin moves forward to speak with them. Dvori, Reggarn and Alanis give me a slight of hand check each as you work to keep Grub from the notice of the guards.

Randrak you do not hear anyone calling out for help. However as you pass by the Forge Tower you do hear raised voices coming from within.
Alanis give me a stealth check as you attempt to hide Grub from general notice.

(Oh good, my specialty! Not.)
Stealth: 19
(edit: That went better than expected. Didn’t roll with disadvantage though in hopes that my noisy armor doesn’t factor into this.
If disadvantage: Stealth: 4 )

"What is going on in that tower?" Randrak wonders out loud. "Should we go look?"

Reggarn looks over at Randrak, "I think we have enough on our plate at the moment. Let's not rustle too many beds until we are ready to lay down."
