Skulls and Starships

"More or less." Ashley said. "Eloquently said." she added, in a tone you can't discern as either praise or sarcasm.

“Pretty spot on, sis!” Gin grins with the thumbs up in her direction. 

"That's right" Thrash would say in agreement before taking a drink. "I have the feeling yerr story about how ya managed to take that thing as a bit more excitin than ours." He adds as he motions towards the ship floating a short distance from the station. 

"Possibly. Who was the Captain that you all were working for?"

"The captain went by the name of harrington. The dick that tried ta kill us was the first mate Plugg." Thrash would reply as he finished downing his drink. 

"You mean Harrigan? Well I'm no friend of his, so if I bump into him, I won't tell him that you killed his first mate and stole one of his ships."

"Appreciate it" Thrash would reply with a tip of his hat. The lizardfolk would then motion for a few more drinks for the himself, the other captain, toni, dani, gin, and ashley. "So how'd ga snag your latest prize there? Musta been pretty rough?" Thrash asks as he listens closely.

"What is this?" Ashley asked, suddenly, but without urgency.

"What's what?" Merrill says in response to Ashley.

She holds up the glass of whatever was served to her, looking at it scientifically.

"Rum, I guess." Merrill regales you all with the story of how he managed to isolate the galleon and overcome 2-to-1 odds to seize the ship, personally defeating their captain in a duel.

"Damn! That's a good story!" Thrash would say while slapping the table. "Mighty impressive indeed." 

During the story, Ashley looks at the drink, sniffs it, makes a face, and sets the glass down. She looks at the Captain as he tells his story, but isn't paying attention.

Dani listens and makes the appropriate impressed noises, keeping her hands occupied with a small mechanical project.

The next day the squibbing is completely finished and the ship is now christened as The Reclaimer. Captain Merrill smashes a bottle of wine over the hull of the ship and offers up a simple blessing.   “Good fortune and sure sail await what one can crack the Tidestar Rock.”
