Skulls and Starships

Gin, Dani, Ashley: You know that Tidestar Rock refers to a small, but well-protected outpost south of Motaku Station. It is considered to be good luck to a captain if they were able to seize it, as it makes a strategic point that one could use to strike shipping lanes. Most Free Captains have better things to do than pursue old wives’ tales, but a new pirate captain would surely find a boost to their reputation were they able to claim that they had “cracked the Rock.”

Dani shares what she remembers about the Rock. "Sounds like an interesting challenge..." She wiggles her eyebrows.

Toni nods slowly, catching up eventually, “oh yes. That sounds quite metal. Let’s do that!”

"Alright then. I guess we got our first target" Thrash would reply as he adjusts his tricorn hat. He would then turn and look to the crew. "Alright ya drumsticks, get to your stations! We It's time to start earnin some creds!" He would shout before leading the crew on to their refurbished ship.

"Why do you call us drumsticks?" Ashley asked, confused.

"Because I like drumsticks" Thrash replies with a grin.

"Like, to eat? But we're not food." Ashley said. "That doesn't make sense."

“Humanoids can most definitely be food if you’re not afraid to be considered a cannibal!” Gin pipes in with a cheeky grin.

"everybodies food to somebody else" Thrash replies with a grin while giving a nod to Gin. "I've heard lads call women cupcake 'n Honey bun 'n sugar pie... and The ladies didnt seem to mind and I never saw the boys eat 'em... although I suppose I don't know what mighta happened behind closed doors." The lizardfolk adds with a hearty laugh.

Ashley looked at the table, even more confused, but said nothing. She could hear everyone's heartbeat in her ears, and the noise soothed her, and she no longer was paying attention.

Gin snorts at Thrash's words. "Eating in a different way, hehe," The Lashunta giggles, then shakes her head to rid herself of those nasty thoughts. "Thrash, do your people not give cute little pet names to their partners?"

"I don't know really." Thrash would reply as he rubs the back back of his thick neck with his hand, his eyes looking towards the floor. "I ain't been around many other lizardfolk. On board the Crimson Bounty the captain didn't recruit anymore than me. Don't know if it was cause I was more than he could handle already or what but any time we came across another lizardfolk on board a ship we were looting... he put a hole in them with this real quick." Thrash would say as he taps the disintegrator pistol holstered across his chest. "Last time I've been round lots other folks like me, it was before captain Irontail took me." 

You begin to fly towards Tidestar Rock, trying to go get that station and build your rep as pirates. As you do, your scanners pick up an SOS signal, coming from a short ways off.

"Ay yo capt'n!" Gin calls out to Thrash. "There's an SOS signal. Should we go check it out?"

"Yeah! Could be easy pickins...  or a trap. Still... the best way to see if something tastes good is to take a big bite." Thrash would reply before looking towards ashley. "Set a course towards the sos"

Ashley went over to the Navigation controls and hit a few buttons. "Course set, Captain." she announced with no enthusiasm at all.

You follow the signal to its' source and in a few short hours you come across a mining ship, with an asteroid in tow. On the side of the ship, you see ACREON in big letters.

Toni stretches, “All right, let’s see if anyone needs help!”

"Take us close and get'em on the comms. Tell em to turn off the SOS cause help has arrived." Thrash says with a grin.

Ashley grew hungry, but not for food. Distracted, like something else was controlling her. Her thoughts became fuzzy, unclear. She shook her head and tried to refocus. She still had many questions, and no answers.
