You all hide yourselves near the entrance to the temple, and wait until the clueless goblins are at the prime location before striking. As the goblins get closer, you can hear squawking coming from the undulating bags, and those with darkvision notice that the bags and goblins have several feathers on them.
Beedo the goblin is hiding with his hands clasped over his knees, listening with intent ears, in the back bedroom of the temple. If beset, he will use the dodge action unless encouraged to do otherwise.
Kella follows Solace, with whom she seems to have formed something of a bond. Kella will help Solace with her action unless directed otherwise.
// The order for this, as mentioned above, is first come first serve. The player characters will go first, in whatever order you like, and the goblins will act after. The goblins are nearing the entrance of the temple, which itself is about 8 feet wide. They are 10 feet away from the entrance. You may place yourself anywhere within 60 feet of this entrance—please specify where, exactly, you are, when you post—which means you can be anywhere inside the temple, or in the graveyard just north of the temple, or hiding near the north or south side of the Inn (or heck, upstairs in the Inn), or in the town square behind one of the rocks. The farms and stables are all too far away, as are the northmost graveyard and any of the watchtowers.
So to recap, place yourself... 1. Inside the temple 2. In the graveyard, with a view of the temple's front door 3. Outside near the Inn 4. Inside one of the upstairs rooms in the Inn, facing the temple 5. Outside, in the northwest section of the town square ...and take your turn! //
The goblin doesn't even see Flint coming. He lets out a scream as the warhammer finds its home in his head, and his scream is abruptly silenced. The bag over his shoulder goes flying, and spills on the ground. Two terrified chickens run out of the bag in a cloud of feathers.
Seviari will pop out right behind Flint and let an arrow fly at the goblin that he attacked
23 to hit, and 6 + 6 piercing damage if it hits (12, due to sneak attack bonus)
Seviari's arrow ran through goblin's gaping mouth and out the other side, and the goblin collapsed. His bag was knotted at the top and moving furiously.
The goblin's cries were heard. At this point, I'll need everyone else to tell me where they're at, and we'll continue the combat encounter!
//We are going to ignore the fact that Jorji thought the chickens could be villagers. The grief over seeing his dead friend, thinking they could be halfling children...//
Jorji rushes to a vantage point upstairs in the inn, readying his shortbow for the next goblin he sees.
//Goblins in 5e aren't big like previous versions of DnD they're considered small so I don't think it would be possible for them to smuggle even halfling kids in a sack//
Solace just keeps her stance protective over Kella outside the front entrance of the temple. //I thought we had all exited the temple anyhow to meet up again//
Jorji rushes to a vantage point upstairs in the inn, readying his shortbow for the next goblin he sees.
Jorji enters the upstairs and sees a sight. The doors to all four bedrooms hang open.
The northwest room is open to the night air, owing to the huge rock that smashed away that the corner of the building, and nearly all the furnishing in the room have been destroyed. But there is a sturdy iron & wood chest inside on what remains of the floor, tucked into the corner of the room. Jorji also notices a large tapestry, rained on but otherwise unharmed, hanging on an undestroyed wall. It depicts a mountain landscape.
The southeast room is in a similar state; there is a huge hole in the middle of the floor, leaving only a desk and a chair.
The southwest room, which offers the best vantage point anyway, is completely unmolested and overlooks the temple. There are two beds, a wardrobe, a desk & matching chair, and a couple oil lamps in the room. A bearskin rug lies on the floor. Jorji sets up here, and waits with bow drawn, looking out the window...

Well, in Beef's defense, halfling kids are quite small :)
As far as actions, then, are you going to going to Ready anything, or just Dodge?
// Jorji, Flint and Seviari are good for this first round. Just wanna make sure that Solace is set up to do what she want to do and doesn't "lose" her actions, since that was a concern from last time. //
Out of the darkness, Solace hears goblinoids calling and whooping battle cries, getting closer and closer.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
// I'm gonna be out for a few hours, so I'm assuming Solace interposing herself between Kella and any attackers, giving her the benefits of cover. So here's what happens: //
Out of the dark, two goblins appear, giving Jorji and Rip a target each. Saving Throw vs. Rip's Vicious Mockery: 12
Jorji go ahead and make your attack roll! The goblin is within normal range of your shortbow.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Many more shapes start to appear out of the darkness, and as they come within range you can see that they are goblins, 6 in total now, and two ready their shortbows to fire on the first threats they see:
Against Solace: Attack: Attack: 6 Damage: 8 Against Flint: Attack: 21 Damage: 5 Against Kella: Attack: 7 Damage: 5
The rest of them are rushing in with scimitars brandished (now inside 20 feet of the entrance of the temple, to the south). As one approached, Kella lets a bolt fly from her crossbow: Attack: 24 Damage: 9
// It's players turns! Whoever wants to go. You've got 3 goblins at short range (20 feet) of the temple entrance, all within about 5 feet of each other, and 3 more at medium range (60 feet from the entrance), spread out at about 10 feet from each other. /
// The order: PC firsts, then the goblins. //
