I'm thinking of DM'ing a homebrew campaign set in modern times, It will contain magic but it will be low magic.
I'm looking for 4 characters with no restrictions. It is going to be a true crime type adventure so i don't recommend young players as it may get graphic. Homebrew races, and subclasses are allowed and encouraged but i will review them first.
Finally i'm looking for US Eastern Time zone players who can post 1-2 times a day and no quitting i intend to get past level 20... and i don't want to keep looking for players.

Sorry for the delay in getting my character submission fleshed out abovebut finally got it firmed up. Not sure about the campaign world so anything that doesn't quite fit or is problematic please let me know with some input or suggestions and I'm willing to edit/change, revise, or delete whatever is needed, no problem. Thanks.
Weekends can sometimes be slow, most tend to be on here only on the weekdays. So it should pick up tomorrow. With my character submission, I was back and forth making a lot of different changes so just wanted to let know I finally got it to a better point to look over. Thanks. Great campaign concept, don't get many set in the modern world.
Backstory: Grew up in a small town where I saved the people from a massacre but felt the need to leave because the way I went about it ended up getting some people killed but few people know those details.
I made my character using Eberron and Ravnica materials. If that's not okay, just let me know and I'm happy to change them.
Name: Jacob "Graves" Gravesforth
Race: Human (House of Finding)
Class: Cleric (Order Domain)
Background: City Watch/Investigator
Backstory: Jacob "Graves" Gravesforth grew up in a large city. His family had a long history of being police officers. Their blood ran blue, as the saying went. Jacob was no exception. He grew up his entire life knowing he would be a police officer. And, as expected, after graduating high school (assuming by "modern" you mean set in this reality. If not, let me know), he joined the academy. He passed with flying colors and quickly--due predominately to family connections rather than any exceptional skill--ascended to a plainclothes field agent. Nevertheless, once he started working, he demonstrated exceptional skill at his job. It was almost supernatural, how he was able to find clues that others had missed. He seemed drawn to the murderers and criminals, almost as though he was able to smell them out. Despite his success, he quickly became jaded with the corruption evident at almost all levels of the Justice system. Including his own family. When he talked to his father about it, he had shrugged and dismissed Jacob's doubts, saying simply, "It's an imperfect system, but it's the best we have." His grandfather, though long since retired, had been more direct. He had implied that the "corruption" was the way that the system was intended. It was the way police protected each other and made sure "criminals got what they deserved" without being saved by a "conniving lawyer." Jacob now has continued with his job, but his doubts about the actual justice present in the Justice system have left him feeling doubtful and not sure where the future will lead him.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Full disclosure, I'm CST, but keep my eyes on the forums here pretty consistently.

Name: Biggs Race: Human Variant (Observant) Class: Wizard (aiming for divination) Background: Soldier
While serving in the military, Biggs learned the ways of magic from one of the other men who claimed to have learned it from their grandmother. Regardless of where the knowledge originated, since returning to civilian life, Biggs has found magic, particularly divination, to be extremely useful to his work as a private investigator.

I'm interested and located in the US Eastern Time Zone...
Non-human races are rare, but you can play as one
Level 1 is the level we start at
Rolling drop ones or point buy is ok.
