Rashar, despite his best efforts, isn't able to get into a position to fire an arrow at the fleeing kenku. Cath fires an arrow at the kenku through the window while Jarret blasts a fire bolt, but the arrow and fire bolt zips past the swift kenku and the kenku continues dashing down Candle Lane.
The others are concerned for Mardak, whom is lying unconscious on the floor. Mardak's profusely bleeding when Morgan and Krivnaar rush over to check on him. They do their best to resuscitate Mardak, but they can feel Mardak's heart rate depleting. Mardak envisions himself inside a massive hall, what empires to be a dwarvish throne room. Sitting upon the throne, he sees a dwarven king donning gleaming, golden armor. "Dath's ekk joth jemed skyx mot karn." the figure says in Dwarvish, as Mardak's vision suddenly fades to black.
Mardak's eyes flicker open, shining a bright, golden light for a brief second before his eyes close back up. His heart rate returns to normal from divine intervention, but he remains unconscious for 2 hour(s).
"Appears his god was not ready for him to die yet." Morgan says with a nod of approval. He does not seem otherwise too concerned about the divine aid. Getting to his feet he glances around. His own wounds are serious (down to 1 hp), but he limps around starting to look over the scene and area. "We best do what we came here for, and see what we can find, before the watch arrives."
Krivnaar stares at Mardrak for a moment, considering that brief flash that brought the dwarf from the brink of hades. Would my patron do the same for me? I think not... Shaking such thoughts from his mind, he returns to the present, bloody scene. "Yes, there must be evidence of who these parties were..." Krivnaar begins examining the bodies, for clues as to their identities.

"Let the bird-man go." Morgan calls after the others. "You'll just get yourself arrested by going after him like that." With a shrug he turns to looking over the building itself...
Much to Cath's and Rashar's dismay, the kenku has taken corners in the alleyway that prevents them from being able to get a clear shot. The kenku continues to dash down Candle Lane. At this point, the party won't be able to catch up.
Krivnaar and Morgan examine the bodies, and they're able to discern that five men are wearing black clothes and have flying snake tattoos, which indicates they're Zhentarim. The other corpses, are thugs from the Xanathar's Guild. They can tell there was a gang war of some sort in this warehouse. Why? They have yet to find out.
Cath curses as the kenku gets away, slipping around corners and out of sight. He turns then and returns back to the warehouse and closes the door behind Rashar so no one sees them. He then starts looking through crates to see what they might contain. He'll also gather arrows up for the bow he collected.
(Morgan is not looking at the bodies, he is looking at the warehouse itself. They aren't there for bodies, but to see if they can find any sign of Volo's lost friend.)
Cath and Rashar both emerge back inside the warehouse, as Morgan and Jarett scope the place out. Krivnaar is focused on the corpses, as Morgan and Jarett begin to hear noises coming from the closed door by the staircase. The sound seems to be as if someone is frantically moving a piece of furniture across the floor, as for as they can tell. Then they begin to hear muffled shrieks, as if someone's calling out for help but something is keeping them from doing so.
Krivnaar looks up from the bodies, a little disappointed in how mundane the mystery of the deaths turned out to be. But the yelling behind the door piques his interest. He looks at the more muscular Morgan and Cath expectantly. "May require a bit of...finesse." He gives a sly wink.
“I’ll do what I can.” He takes a crowbar from his pack and begins prying at the door. Hopefully that will help weaken it enough for Cath to smash it down.
The group have to trouble opening the door, as they see inside a man whom is bound to a chair via ropes and has his mouth gagged. The sounds they heard were him struggling to break free from his bondage as the chair was scraping across the wooden floor. The muffled cries were the sound of him trying to call for aid once he heard the fighting conclude. The man sitting before them is a handsome young man with flowing red-orange hair. He has some cuts and bruises, indicating he may have been beaten to a bloody pulp. Morgan would instantly recognize this man as Renaer Neverember.
Krivnaar goes over to untie the prisoner and remove his gag. "Well! Looks like you're the lucky survivor of this little bloodbath. So, are you Raenar, or Floon? Or...someone else?"
