The man gingerly caresses his wrists, from being bound for several hours. He finds solace in rubbing the bruises on his arms as it feels like he's finally getting to scratch the itch he's had forever. He looks unto Krivnaar worriedly. "That depends on who you are and why you're here." Renaer says, as he can't be too sure if these are his saviors or his next threat.
Rashar steps forward. “I’m Rashar, former guardsman of the Griffon Cavalry. You do not need to worry about my companions- they are all law-abiding men. We were hired to find Floon Blagmaar, who you were rumored to have met last night. Do you know where he is?”
The half-elf was intrigued by this turn in events. Neverember was a very powerful noble family; the payout for rescuing their son would be great. However, Floon still remains missing...

Renaer looks upon Rashar closely, studying him up and down. He then darts his eyes across each individual among the party, and he notices Morgan. He nods his head. "Amcathra." Renaer whispers as a sign of relief. "Good." Renaer says as he squeezes by, wanting to get out of the closet and that's when he sets his eyes upon the corpses. He gulps, and his stares down at his feet. "I was afraid something like this would happen." Renaer says with a disappointed tone, as he leans against one of the crates.
"They have Floon. If you know Floon, then you may see the resemblance between him and I." Renaer says, as they were told what Floon looks like and Renaer does bare a resemblance. "I'm afraid their intent was to kidnap me due to my name, and my father's money. My bet is the thugs mistook Floon for me and took him instead." Renaer says with a hint of sorrow in his voice, kneeling down to examine one of the Zhentarim corpses.
"The Zhentarim thinks that my father embezzled a large amount of gold while he was Open Lord, and that he hid the dragons somewhere in the city. They think they can find it by using an artifact called the Stone of Golorr, which was in the hands of the Xanathar Guild until recently. Apparently, someone stole it. The Zhents thought I knew something about all of this, but I don’t. My father and I haven’t spoken in years.” Renaer concludes, as he scavenges a rapier and dagger among the corpses and starts removing the leather armor from one of the corpses.
seeing who they rescued Morgan returns the nod. "Renaer..." He replies. He listens to the story and has to admit the other noble has a point, the description they were given could certainly be for Renaer as well as Volo's friend.
"Any idea where they took Floon?" Morgan asked when Renaer finished talking. "Volo asked us to try to find him..."
Cath stood by the door grumbling and cursing. He wasn't happy the door was so hard to open. He half listened to what the boy had to say. When he mentioned being mistook for Floon Cath muttered out loud
"Probably told 'em you were Floon so they'd take him 'stead of you I bet"
Renaer stands back up after acquiring the holsters and straps needed to carry the rapier and dagger and slides on the leather armor. He glances over to Jarett and Morgan. "As they were tying me up and locking me in the basement, I did overheard someone with a thin and nasally voice say 'Follow the yellow signs in the sewers'. If I was a betting man, I'd say the Xanathar's has a hideout in the sewers and have taken Floon there." Renaer concludes and then looks onto Cath whom has doubted his modesty. "I take it you're the skeptical one of Morgan's guards? That's okay. My guards used to be skeptical too." Renaer finishes, as he then begins to walk away, as if he's about to leave. "Any more questions before I go?"
"And where are you off to?" Morgan asks with a raised eyebrow. "Going to just let someone, you yourself said was taken because he was mistaken for you, stay in the hands of those goons?" He runs a hand through his black hair as his gray eyes are intense on the other noble. "Where is your sense of responsibility, or are you more like your father than I had thought..."
Renaer scoffs "Don't be so quick to judge. I'm off to see what I can do to find Floon, of course. Not sure why you lot are still just standing here. If you want to help, grab your friend and get out of here before the City Watch arrives." Renaer says demandingly, referring to Mardak whom is still unconscious on the floor.
As Renaer says that, a voice booms from across the other side of the warehouse. "Did someone say 'Before the City Watch arrives'?" the figure comes around a corner and several City Watch officers step inside the warehouse. Captain Staget strolls into the warehouse with a dozen officers in tow, and he ganders upon the adventurers as his men form around the group to surround them. "What a delight it is to see you, Hyustus." Renaer says warmly, as the Captain snarls.
"Don't try to butter me up." he says coldly, looking upon the many corpses, and then darts his eyes to the party. "Please explain yourselves thoroughly." Captain Staget demands, folding his arms over his chest as he stares at the party.
Rashar steps forward. "We were hired to find a man named Floon Blagmaar. Sources led us to this location, but upon entering we found this bloodbath. However, these kenkus for waiting for us. We were ambushed, but we managed to fight them off. Then, we rescued this fine gentleman which I'm sure you are acquainted with already."

Krivnaar chips in, adopting his guarded obsequious tone that he takes when he has to deal with the loathed watch without attracting unwanted attention. "You also might notice, good sir, we don't have either Zhentarim or Xanthar markings. Unlike these fellows..."
"Sorry if I mistook your intentions." Morgan says to the other noble. "We are headed to find Floon as well, so..." He is interupted by the watch's arrival.
"Glad you guys could finally make it." Morgan says to the watch captain with a nod of greeting. "As my companions here said, we found most of these here already dead. We fought the bird-men, one of which ran away. We are now heading out to continue our search for Floon."
At the mention of 'Morgan's guards' Cath spits on the floor and spits more curses. "Guard, I ain't no fool's guard if that's what yer thinkin. Don't be so quick to judge and all that crap eh? And I ain't yer guard either if yer meaning to come with us."
When the real guard shows up, "Bah, this show gets worse 'n' worse. Nobles and the City Watch. We're doomed." he mutters to himself and then stays quiet.
Captain Staget curiously runs his fingers through his beard, and looks onto Renaer and Morgan. The Captain knows that the sight of two nobles would damage his career if he arrested them. "I see. We'll handle things from here. Best be on your way." The Captain smiles. "I'm willing to let this slide, given the situation between the Zhentarim and Xanathar's Guild lately. Not all City Watch officers are as nice as me.” Captain Staget concludes, as one of the officers brings in a wagon and they start collecting the corpses.
"Oh, before you depart. Rookie, the code legal." The captain demands, as one of the younger officers brandishes a few pieces of paper and hands one to everyone in the party. "Adhere to these rules, and we shouldn't have any trouble." Captain Staget implies, as they all receive a copy of the Code Legal.
“Keep the blood off the streets, okay?” Captain Staget says as he assumes the party will be making their exit now.
Morgan stuffs the code legal into his cloak and heads for the door. "So where is the nearest sewer entrance?" He asks one of the watch as he passes by them.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rashar nods. "Thanks for helping us out. We won't get into trouble again, I promise."
He turns to Morgan. "It seems your position has shielded us from the law. For that, I thank you. Are you sure you wish to be mucking around the sewers though?"
Rashar thinks if he can remember an inconspicuous location to enter the sewers.

Rashar not being familiar with the Dungsweeper's Guild operations, he can't recall the entrance of nearby sewers. The officer looks onto Morgan and replies “Best not to meddle in criminal matters. Leave this dirty business to the City Watch.”
"No problem." Morgan says giving the watch person a raised eyebrow. "I'll walk with you to the sewer entrance then, and we'll wait there until you return from in those sewers with Floon. Let's go then..." He gestures for the watch to lead the way. "From what we know there are symbols you need to follow to lead you to the place Floon was likely taken."
