Weizol gives a curt nod to the guard as if acknowledging their appointed authority and turns to head back alongside Vallen. "I could use a a simple drink after that. Vallen, what the hell was that? Does this happen often in your cities?"
Weizol is happy to follow Vallen's lead when going around the bar. A foreigner like himself would only embarrass themselves without knowing the local customs.
"Then... What do you make of this bizzare attack? Perhaps it has something to do with... What we met here for?"
When Saiba and Y'reth mange to push their way through to the front of the crowd, he sees a contingent of guards blocking the way towards a nearby alleyway. Though he can't see anything beyond them, he notices a human and elf walking back from their direction and asks, "What happened over there?" Pointing towards the city guards frantically milling about. Looking at Y'reth for a moment before continuing, "The two of us were too far back to tell for sure what all the commotion was about but it sounded like the Duke was dead. Is that true?"
(Edit: Sorry by the time I finished typing this it seems Val & Weizol may have already left the scene. If that's the case I can adjust my post
The elf looks a little spooked. He blinks once at Saiba and then his eyes notice the tiefling woman behind him. It's immediately obvious that he is very cautious upon seeing her. "Your Duke is dead," He answers at last, probably after carefully weighing whether he should say anything at all. "Humans drew steel against him but he did not die by their hand."
"Well I certainly didn't kill him," Y'reth mutters from around Saiba, catching the fact that the elf had some reaction to the sight of her. "Too short to make it through the crowd, alas," she adds, though this low enough that it could have been her just talking to herself. Or possibly just trying to mess with him, it isn't immediately clear. Then she grins brightly, showing off her sharpened teeth, and leans further around Saiba to stare directly at the two. I'm Y'reth! This is Saiba; we were in the bar, she says, directly into their minds, her eyes crinkling at the corners in amusement.
((I was waiting for a green light from the DM on whether Crow, who was outside the bar, could try to climb something to get a better view of the crime scene))

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Worth pointing out that she can't communicate with more than one person at a time I think, not relevant here since she can do one after the other.)
The elf reacts as she perhaps expected, though he skipped the usual surprise part and went straight into offended. Still, he doesn't seem the violent type and doesn't do anything about it, merely gritting his teeth and saying, "stay out of my mind, fiend. I did not give you permission." Apparently he cares about personal space. And knew what to expect from a tiefling.
He makes an active effort to douse his anger though and takes a good look at the symbol.
(Well, it does say 'any creature' rather than 'a creature' but if the DMs want to rule on it, I'll go with whatever they decide)
Y'reth just keeps her sharp-toothed grin and tugs out a piece of bread from her pocket, gallantly offering it to Saiba. "'fraid I don't know no symbols," she says guilelessly in regard to the drawing on the paper after glancing at it, her tail lashing behind her. "They were probably cultists," she muses, seemingly unbothered by the fact the Duke was murdered, at least on the outside. "Don't they usually wear weird symbols and fancy, matching robes?"
I would make my way back to bar pondering the events of the evening. After sitting for a while, I would walk towards the people who I saw combating the men in red, ponder, walk back to my table, ponnder, walk back again, ponder, walk back to my table, and finally approaching them.
"Err, hey. I'm er.. Omik. Sitting, I was. err, I mean, I was sitting. On the roof."
Weizol gives a curt nod to the guard as if acknowledging their appointed authority and turns to head back alongside Vallen. "I could use a a simple drink after that. Vallen, what the hell was that? Does this happen often in your cities?"

"I have not spent much time in the city. Though I do not think this would be considered normal."
I will buy a drink for myself and Weizol. Then maybe we can find a table in the corner with a view of the front door.

"The Duke was killed, but not by those figures in red. I saw another in the alley. I am Vallen Kvolhaven. This is my friend Weizol. You are?"
Val is a little gruff but not rude. He strikes you as a person who looks serious but is relatively friendly.

I will take out my quill and ink and draw the symbol that was on the amulet.
*nods*
"Join us?" Handing the picture first to Weizol "Have any of you seen an image like this before? It was on the amulet worn by those in red."
EDIT- "Weizol, I do not know if this concerns our missing friend" (This I would have said before the others showed up)

"cant recognize it as of this moment, but there are probably some churches or whatever that may know more?"
(Hm, you're right. It does use singular creature more instead of plural creatures though, which is why I assumed. Doesn't matter either way.)
