Boo turns to GB, "oh gawds GB didn't you hear, not only did the Kobolds steal all the town's children but the vile disgusting little reptiles stole the entire town's supply of wine and ale... its all gone... hidden away somewhere in their lair, the greedy bastards right? I mean what kind of fiend would deny GB his due?"

Aregarak sniffs his arm pits, and satisfied its not him Boo is talking about shrugs and continues following the dog.

Shaking his head while rubbing his scar “ok guys. Let’s find a shop for supplies, then get a move on.” 

“This is why I like to work alone” he thinks to himself.

Boo bends down beside the dog as he stops and whispers into his ear, "you know you might just be on to something there, nothing like the ***** of manly pits to put a girl in the mood," giggles turns and gives Aregarak a sly wink ;) then continues on... "so dog are we there yet? I'd kill for some cheese or at least some shrooms. Think the Kobolds have got any?"

Lanea scoops the orb up and tucks it away in her pouch hanging from her belt. Quickly grabs her pack and heads off to follow the dog. "I am not letting him get in there alone" whispering to herself as she hurries to catch up to the dog.

Lenlieth gave the orb back to Lanea absentmindedly. "I can't shake the feeling that I know something about this device. I'm sure it'll come to me later."

Lenlieth, you cannot recall anything historically about any orbs that fit the nature of this particular item, but you do recall a bit of info you heard once from a travelling scholar about how magical beings could imbue ordinary items with some of their essence to act as a key of sorts.

As you guys reach the edge of town, you see what appeared to be a store, the front of the building now mostly burnt away, so only three walls really remain standing. You can see that there is still furniture and containers inside, and no one seems to be around. The dog is pointing past the building, but it does seem to be following orders as much as it is leading the group.

Boo looks at the building and sniffs the air turns to the dog, "lunch break dog... you hungry? Sniff out some food, and we'll get you whatever you like but I call dibs on any cheese." Boo heads on inside what remains of the building and looks for any provisions (food) or anything of interest //Perception 24 // that may catch her eye. "Come on Primrose, I said I was sorry... you are not my pet... you're my BFF, you know that... you know I can't handle the silent treatment."

//For a moment there I thought Boo was crazy and there were two orbs...//

Boo, as you're searching through the store you find an unburnt cabinet in the back of the building, stocked full of different types of food. Cheeses, meats, assorted fruits. In the bottom of the cabinet are a couple bottles of wine and a small container of ale. You also find a small box of 4 gemstones, each probable worth about 15 gp. You also find underneath what appears to be the burnt remains of a counter a small metal chest with a rather large lock on it.

Boo cries out and shakes her head looking inside the cabinet at the motherload, "well if that doesn't dill my pickle!" Grinnin' like a possum eatin' a sweet tater...

Immediately she spins about facing the others pulling out her rusty dagger, Mcguffin... "alright Aregarak don't think I don't see your great sad cow eyes coveting my cheese! We all know where cheese comes from but I called dibs and fair is fair so this here is how this is all going to go down!!!"

She looks at the group eyes narrow facing them down like a hen guarding her egg, a big fat gold one... Boo grabs one of the bottles of wine and tosses it against one of the remaining walls near GB to get his attention so he can watch it smash and its lustrous nectar runs down the wall wasted on stone and mortar, "yes GB," she hisses, "that got your attention didn't it? I got two more bottles of wine left and a container of ale. I can smash them and dump out the ale or I can give the rest all to you GB if you give me what it is that I be wanting... That is right... I will be having that tail feather... of yours after all... the pretty pink one if you please. In exchange, you get the spirits a straight up trade if not then the earth drinks deep and you will just have to do without."

Boo grins at the barbarian and gives him a playful wink, "Aregarak please be a dear and take possession of the gems and the locked metal box, those will go into the group kitty for all of us to share! The meats too... but give the dog that big hunk of salami, he's earned it."

//Boo lets Aregarak get the goodies but guards the cheese and the wine/ale with her life... if GB is agreeable to the trade once she has the tail feather she prizes then she will give him what he wants, if not she will follow through with her threat and dump it. Whoever wants to open the box, etc. feel free Boo is not interested in it but who it goes to depends on the party as a group to decide if it goes to one person or something to be split :)//

Beril looks around at the group and knows no one else can open the lock. He takes the lock pick set from his backpack and kneels down at the chest. Looking at the lock, checking for any writings and the mechanics of it.

19 Perception roll

//so we've gone from helping this village to robbing them now?  I realize that may sound silly coming from the pirate but not sure where everyone elses alignments fall so just some food for thought :) Aregarak is chaotic neutral so he's all about dat booty!//

Lanea stops and looks at the house and listens to the others about the findings. She doesn't care for what they have but feels that they should hold the treasures for the towns people they will need whatever coin to build the place back up.  "These people may need these items to rebuild if they are going to survive perhaps we should think about that before we take everything" she really just talking to anyone who listens. Looking at the dog and then past him towards the edge of town.

GB frustrated with Boo and the wasted wine walks to Boo and snatches one bottle.

"GB is not some fool to be bartered with.  GB tails feathers stay were they belong, as with those gems.  They are not owed to you or GB.  Gems do no good to kill kobolds.  Wine on the other hand, wine will help GB kill kobolds."

He pops the cork with his beak and begins to empty the contents into his wine skin walking away and placing his rear against a wall.

//I agree. GB, make a dexterity saving throw to try and quickly get past Boo, Boo you can try and stop him with either a dexterity roll or a strength roll//

Beril, you can tell that the box is simply locked with an ordinary lock, nothing special about it or the box, both just seem to be fashioned out of an ordinary metal. //To pick the lock you make a check with thieve's tools, so I believe it's a dexterity check and you add your proficiency bonus if you are proficient in thieve's tools//

Lanea, you don't see anything out in the direction, nothing seems to be anywhere near where you guys are

DEX Roll 5

"5 silver says Boo gets her tail feather!" Aregarak says and chuckles at the antics of the party.

Beril stops to contemplate the situation. “I want to change who I am not continue the same song and dance.” He stands up and says  “I agree. There’s towns people need this more then we do. Let’s just take any needed rations and leave the rest”. As he starts walking in the direction the dog was going.

Boo starts to cry as GB snatches the wine bottle from her, "oh woe is me... what am I going to use to tickle my fancy now... You are a meanie GB!!!" Tears roll down her eyes...
