Gillain blinks and shakes her head a little as the robed figures pass straight through the rest of the party but don’t ping on her divine sense as undead. And she stands, confused, that her challenge didn’t seem to register with them either. Something odd is going on, for sure, but she can’t quite work out what yet...
She takes a ready-stance, with her spear poised now, and slowly circles on the spot, trying to keep an eye on everything around her for now.
Farris Religion: 16 (Advantage if it's about Undead, Fey or Fiends: 15)
Crossbow at the ready, Farris watches in anticipation that things could go south very quickly at any moment.
"This is so bizarre..."Anyone watching might see a small smile on his face....like a kid watching a magic show.
An odd realization comes to Farris. These apparitions are not what he had been taught about ghosts. They look like ghosts. Had the same chill you were taught about when they passed near or through a person. Act like ghosts from many stories that Farris's instructors recited to him. But, there is something lacking in these apparitions. What Farris is seeing is more like a residual memory rather than an encounter with ghosts.
Bob isn't quite as astute at Farris but he does realize something is amiss. Scratching at his mane of shaggy hair he looks at the others and shrugs. "P'raps they're not the angry sort o' spirits? Restless, sure, but they don't even seem to notice we're here!" He waves his staff at one of the apparitions, through it, seeing what will happen.

Moments pass by as the party stands and gazes at the unusual sight before them. Bob's attention is drawn to the refuse pile in the small cave along the west wall. He is not sure from this distance but, something is not right.
The apparitions remain stationary as they continue to chant. "One Must Die. One Must Die."
Outside of what has been described, the apparitions make no other actions.
As time passes Gimble is able to complete his Detect Magic Ritual. Casting his eyes about where he is, he sees no arcane energies near him. Gimble sees faint Transmutation arcane energies coming from the apparitions.
Gillain finds nothing that she can pin down as a clue.
((What does Gillain see on the platform? It it just the table? No further paraphernalia or equipment? Is it a stone table? Or a sarcophagus? Any markings or symbols? Does it look like she could destroy the table in any way? Smash it or shove it off the platform?))

Gimble:
Rising and moving into the room, his eyes glowing with arcane power, Gimble reads the auras and tries to decipher their origin, investigating the room carefully.

Bob shuffles carefully and slowly along the walkway around the water in his usual waddling gait until he reaches the pile of refuse. He gives it a sniff, frowns, and begins to sift through it with his staff.
Outside the initial description given, Gillain finds little else. It is a stone altar with ghouls carved upon it and dried blood covering it. Gillain believes she could destroy the alter but at the cost of her spear or any other weapon, she would use.
Gimble takes a long look at the room, inspecting it for some hidden details or things that might stand out to him. After a few moments, he comes to the conclusion he can find nothing outside the initial description of the room when the party first entered. Gimble turns his trained eye to the apparitions. There is a faint arcane glow but he is unable to determine much else.
Boband Farris make their way to the small set of stairs along the west wall, near the cut out that holds the debris. Bob prods the debris with his staff. It is stiff and unyielding, made of water-logged wood, weeds, trash, and refuse.
Tio and Ban remain where they are (from the last posts) watching intently.
While the party does their individual actions the apparitions remain looking towards the dais, chanting "One Must Die! One Must Die!"

Gillain will wonder down to the edge of the central platform, walking all around it by the waters edge, trying to see what the water is all about, and if she can see anything under the surface, or how deep it is. She’ll also prod into the water with her spear too if that helps her investigations...
Investigation check: 16 (passive 12... two more for straight perception)
Continuing to move around the room, Gimble makes sure to sweep it all--including the water--with his spell, looking for sources of arcane power that could be fueling this apparition.
Assuming he finds nothing further, he says, "Nothing here is registering as strong magic for the source of the apparitions, though given the chanting, it seems they are keen on having someone or something die on the altar. I would, however, advise against that course of action. Perhaps there is more to be found underneath the surface of the water or hidden in or behind that pile of refuse..."

"This pile o' trash might be hidin' something. There's refuse, sure, but planks o' wood as well." He attempts to shift the heavier wood and trash aside.
Gillain walks the edges of the center platform, inspecting it. The water is murky, having set stagnant for Gods knows how long. She prods it with her spear, piercing the oily film on top. Gillain does this for a couple of minutes but finds only that the water is approximately 2 ft. deep and holds no more secrets.
Gimble continues his inspection of the room. finding nothing more than what has been found before.
The apparitions continue to chant "One Must Die! One Must Die!"
Gillainpulls a javelin and with a grunt, launches it at one of the apparitions. The sound of metal hitting stone echoed throughout the chamber as the javelin passes through 1 of the apparitions, striking the wall behind it. Small sparks fly as the javelin hits the wall.
