After spending an hour looking over the items, the party recognizes the items as a +1 mace, a +1 crossbow, boots of elvenkind, cloak of elvenkind and the rod is a light saber. When the button on the side of it is pushed, a two foot long green beam of light extends out from the top. It provides light within a 30 foot diameter area, but, is not a weapon. Spread out on the blanket, Quin sees a leather satchel. The chest contained 750 gold pieces, 1,000 silver pieces and 30 gems. But, there is nothing that looks like it would fit in the hole found earlier. 128 gp, 215 sp, and 328 cp
( That's 903 gp, 1215 sp, 328 cp and 30 gems in addition to the items. I believe there are 4 of us now, correct? So the splits would be 225gp with 3 for the group fund, 303sp with 3 for the fund and 82cp. I edited the quote just a little so only the pertinent info was displayed. I'd also like to change the look of the tube if that's okay. So just a suggestion, instead of it looking like a light saber, which is cool, how about a flashlight. Instead of a switch you simply remove a cap from the end and something at the bottom of the tube emits the light. a slide on the side of the tube moves the light source closer to the front allowing for the beam to be adjustable. Seems like something an atificer might make. )

Quin hands the bag of holding that he had used to store all the items in to Vothrollo.
"Here, you should use this to store all the Kwalmendi items in." He picks up the cloak and the rod.
"I could use a good cloak, and if you don't mind I'll take the rod too since I can't see in the dark unlike A few of you. Sure would save me on lamp oil." After counting out the shares of coin he scoops up his portion and if needed, uses one of the saddle bags from the horses (if available) if not he'll ask Vothrollo keep his share in the bag of holding.
"Well if every one is in agreement," he looks at the group, "Then Quiller gets the boots, I'll take the cloak, Lukas is gonna cover us with the crossbow, and Lorgar gets the mace.
*Lorgar glances at Lukas and his arm before saying:* "Maybe you should take the mace too. Helm provides his light as a weapon for me, and your sword arm seems more suited for swinging a mace than mine."
(you keep it. i have higher damage with my sword) "key word is sword, friend. maces are weapons used by the holy, so it would work better for you lorgar. besides which, I can use the crossbow to weaken them for you to hit and finish the enemies of the future with the mace."
"I believe you are making a mistake, but if you insist..." *Lorgar pockets the mace before continuing:* "So, now what? Anything left to check our in here, or do we take the horses and leave?"
"Good it's settled then. Let's load up and get out of this cave. I don't want to spend the night in here if we can help it." says Quin. He makes sure there isn't anything left behind before heading to the horses. (They got saddled and brought into the cavern right?)
The party gets all the horses brought outside the cave, and arranges them up into a caravan. By the time the party finally gets mounted and begins heading out of the canyon, the sky is beginning to lighten in the east. The ride back to Mercer's Tavern is uneventful, although those of you not used to riding in horses are feeling discomfort from riding in a saddle through most of the day. The entire party is worn out by the time the tavern is in site. It has been a day and a half since the party last slept. Mercer is delighted to see most of his horses returned (one of them is missing). He will give the party another 200 gp as a reward for returning his horses. He tells the party that the heads can be turned over to the guards at the Kardagen Border.
"maybe this will convince them that we are innocent. or maybe they think us craven curs who would kill our own to survive." Lukas has a pensive air about him.
"Anything is possible, but right now I'm asleep on my feet. I gotta rest. We can deliver the heads later" He then procures a room from Mercer if possible. Once settled he curls up with his newly found cloak and isn't seen until the next day.
Vothrolo replies "I'll have to take time to read through the books in the morning. But, like all of you, I am tired and ready to retire to our apartment and sleep for two winters' nights. I'm sure we'll find some interesting information in those books once I've had time to read through them."
The party is exhausted from their trip to the cave, and sleeps the evening and the night away. When everyone wakes up, it is the next morning and the sun is already risen.

*Lorgar starts his morning with a short prayer. He then continues towards the bar and proceeds to stuff his face with an amount of food that likely should be for two people. The Helmite will then check and re-check all his gear for any sign of wear and do what needs to be done for it to be mended and packed, ready to leave once Vothrollo has concluded where they are headed.*
Quin wakes from a deep dream producing slumber. He rises, dresses and heads down to meet the rest. He gets some porridge from the pot on the hearth and joins Lukas and Lorgar at their table.
"Morning fellas! Man I had the strangest dream last night. That Kwalmendi woman visited me again. It was kind of bizarre. We talked about gems and jewelry because I mentioned I wished I could appraise some of these gems we've been finding. She told me all about using jewelers tools. I feel pretty confident that I could do it if I had the proper gear. Like I said, bizarre. I feel like I have a weird connection to her now. Hey, (don't recall bartenders name) Know anyone who might have a loupe for sale? Any way, where's Quiller, and what's the plan? Has Vothrollo figured out our next destination?
"She talked to you?" *asks the Helmite, clearly worried.* "Did she perhaps give instructions on what do you need to procure? Or places you should go to, people to visit, books to read? And what did she ask you? How much did you tell her?" *The cleric pauses and sighs loudly before continuing:* "You might not realise this, but any and all such connections are are a tremendous danger. She might seem bening and her knowledge like a magnificient boon, but that is how they get you. This pressence that is communig with you might not even be the ghost of the woman, but some malignant entity."
"Now that you mention it she did seem different this time around. She spoke common instead of Kwalmendi. The more I think of it she didn't seem malicious but she did seem as though she had been summoned instead of being there of her own will. Almost as if I had brought her to me with my desire to learn. We spoke of nothing other than how to use the jewlers tools..I know it sounds odd but I truly don't believe there was deception in her presence." replies Quin between mouthfuls of food.

"Sleep first." says the tired cleric. "Vothrollo, any news from the books? Do we have some place to go, or do we deliver our grim trophies?"
"fair enough." with that lukas purchases, food, drink, and a room for himself.
Vothrolo replies "I'll have to take time to read through the books in the morning. But, like all of you, I am tired and ready to retire to our apartment and sleep for two winters' nights. I'm sure we'll find some interesting information in those books once I've had time to read through them."

When lukas gets up, he'll have breakfast, a mild drink, and ask the barkeep where the local blacksmith/fletcher is.
