The next cache is located in the Valley of Fire, which is located in the Belgrund Mountains, a couple days ride north of the last cache. The easiest and safest way to get there will be take the road north along the Tralbibo River and then head west when we get far enough north”.
(OCC: Sorry forgot Vothrollo had already explained some of this. Editing to reflect that.)
Quin looks to Vothrollo, " I say we stable the horses for now, drop the heads off on the way, come back and deal with the horses later. Whatever we decide we should act soon. Seems to me that the goblins are after the same thing we are and if that's true then I'm betting nothing good will come of it if they get it" He stands up and goes to find Mercer.
"Okay I paid for 2weeks if we're not back in 3 you can return the horses to Sanbeyonne."
Quin returns to the group.
"The horses are taken care of for now. I suggest we all resupply. Then as soon as Vothrollo is ready we can set out. We'll swing by the border and drop off the heads. Agreed?"
As Lorgar finishes speaking, Vothrolo steps out of her room and says "I’m ready, lets get moving.” The ride to the border crossing is very short and uneventful, although flies are attracted to the bag of heads. Once there, the border guard says “State your business.” One of the other guards notices the large number of flies attracted to the bag with the heads in it, and asks “What is in there?”
"Bandit heads, from the gang working out of some caves. we killed them, and we have the horses they stole at Mercer's Tavern. if you wish to collect said horses to return them to their rightful owner, we can give directions to the tavern." Lukas betrays nothing, save a hint of pride in his voice for dispensing Justice on the bandits.
The guard looks in the bag, and then carries it into one of the buildings, saying "Wait here. I'll be back in a few minutes."
After about ten minutes, the guard comes out with another guard accompanying him. The second guard appears to be higher ranking, and is carrying a pouch with him. As he approaches the party, he says "Are you the men who killed those bandits" After hearing affirmation, he says "We want to thank you for that. They have been terrorizing travelers and local ranchers for some time. We've never been able to find where their hideout is. Here is your reward, and, I'll send someone to Mercer's to check out the horses and see if we can return them to their proper owners. Have a safe trip."
With that the gate opens, and the guards let you all through into the Kardagen Empire. When the pouch you were given is opened, there are 70 platinum pieces in the bag.
"mayhaps, our names will no longer be under suspicion. Lead on, scholar." Lukas says something similar, while also waiting till out of earshot of the gate and guards to say it.
The party heads southward on their horses. The first part of the road is familiar to everyone, with scattered farms present and slowly increasing in number until the village of Springholde is reached around mid-day. Heading out of Springholde, the road follows the Tralbibo River downstream. In this area, the river is slow moving, meandering back and forth across the floodplain. Scattered farmsteads are present along the road, with people seen working in the fields. A couple hours after leaving Springholde, the logs are placed across the road that the horses gingerly step across. Looking at areas to the side of the road, it appears that the party is passing through a bog. Shortly after starting to move along the corduroy road, a small village appears in the distance. All of the houses are situated on stilts. Small plots of farmland are scattered among the houses, with water-filled ditches surrounding each individual plot. As you are passing this small village, Vothrolo mentions that the village is known as Stillmoor, and is known for the vegetables grown here.
After an hour of traveling, the road rises up onto dry grounds again, and the logs are no longer present along the road. Houses are more common here, and soon, another village is coming into view. This village appears similar to Springholde, although it is a little bit larger. A tavern is present along the road, with the sign showing a crow with one eye closed. “Ah, the Winking Crow. They have a quite good mead, although, I wouldn’t eat here. The food is dry and tasteless. Shoe leather might taste better.”
After an hour after passing the Winking Crow, a town can be seen on the horizon. The houses are closer together here. As the party crosses a bridge going over the river, Vothrolo notes “This is the town of Three Bridges. This is where we’ll be staying tonight. We’ll be staying at the Old Bridge Tavern, which is not too far ahead.”
The town appears to be fairly prosperous with numerous businesses passed on the way. After about 20 minutes of travel through the town, the party starts to approach another bridge. This bridge doesn’t appear to cross the river though. Vothrolo leads you to the side of the bridge, and there, sitting partially in the shadow of the bridge. “Here we are a the Old Bridge Tavern.”
"The Old Bridge Tavern has a good selection of food, beer, and wine. They get enough travelers stopping here that it is worth there time to make sure the food and drink keep everyone happy. There are other taverns in town, and this town is the largest place within a days ride of Mercer's Tavern.:
"The town itself mainly deals with agricultural goods, both the production and trade. There are shops here that supply goods for the farmers and merchants traveling the roads. This town also marks the point where barges can be towed along Trablbibo River. South of here, the river is too narrow and shallow to be used for shipping. But, to the north, the river is wide enough for barges and rafts to be towed along the river. Heading downstream, they don't need to be towed, but, to get here from Three Falls, the barges and rafts need to be towed. The docks in town are usually quite busy, with goods being transferred from barges to wagons and vice versa."
Once inside the tavern, the common room is quite large. There is a fireplace in one end of the room, with the bar next to it. A small stage is also present in the room, with room for two or three performers to share the stage at one time. Currently no one is on the stage, but, it is still early evening. Vothrolo gets three rooms (one for herself, and two for the party).
Lorgar simply aims to get his food and follow the others lead, keeping an eye out for anyone that might be trouble. Taverns were never his strong suit.

“Gettin’ yer head salted would be a perty foul end of things I should say.” Quiller grins expansively. “But I like it!
”And I agree with Quin, we should be off before some other pesky things pop up and try t’ salt our heads!
”Onward, into the breach once more rode the few, the brave and, dare I say with all modesty, the greedy!”
Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
Vothrolo responds "I'll be ready to depart shortly" as Quin heads out to find Mercer.
When Quin gets out to the bar, Mercer is not there, but, the woman standing behind the bar disappears quickly and soon returns with the owner in tow.
Nodding to Quin, he asks "How can I help you this morning?"
"I was wondering if it would be possible to board some horses for awhile? Let's say two weeks for the 8 with the Sanbeyonne mark." Says Quin.
**This Space for Rent**
"For eight horses, it will cost you two gold pieces per day, or 28 gold pieces for the entire two week span." Mercer replies.
Quin pays the man.

"agreed."
"Sounds reasonable. We can go as soon as she is ready." *responds the Helmite.*

"Well that was easy enough!" Chuckles Quin once the group is out of earshot from the gates. "Guide on Vothrollo! Take us to our next adventure!"

"What an appropriate name...?" says the Helmite as his mind wanders to the vinegar he got served as wine.... "Do you know of anything to avoid?"
"what manner of business and industries are in this town?"
"The Old Bridge Tavern has a good selection of food, beer, and wine. They get enough travelers stopping here that it is worth there time to make sure the food and drink keep everyone happy. There are other taverns in town, and this town is the largest place within a days ride of Mercer's Tavern.:

Lukas goes to get himself a meal and drink.
"any good acts around here?"
Quiller will chose a table as close to the fireplace as possible and, shucking his pack and cloak, settles in and gets comfortable.
"I'd like t' have a horn of mead and a tasty joint o' pork if that's available," he calls out to the server as they come near.
He will spend some time listening to the talk going on around him, hoping to pick up some interesting tidbits.
