"It might be worth just getting it over with now, I know we're not running at one hundred percent here, I'd be worried how wore out we'll be before we run into them again"
Peter gives a slight bow, motioning to the door as he backs away, pulling his bow back out "whenever we're ready. Imma gonna try to get hid, if they don't want to talk I'll have a suprise for them" ((if he can peter would like to skulk back a ways and hide as good as he can while still having line of sight down the hallway))
Then please, feel free to do so. maybe after Peter checks the lock? Aldrich takes a few step backwards while sheathing his scimitars. He then takes his Longbow off his back and knocks an arrow. Ready when you are.
Razil moves towards the side of the room, out of direct line of sight once the door opens. Glancing around the room to ensure everyone else is ready for what may come, he mutters under his breath about the insanity of this, then casts Thaumaturgy again, focusing his energy on opening the door.

(Can we tell if it is inward or outward opening? Muirgurn has a reasonable strength, he could attempt either to pull it open, or to smash it with his warhammer.)
The door is very tight and moves just a little in its frame, making a loud cracking noise, and sticks again. One more heave should get it open the rest of the way. Do you continue until it opens?
The door flies open as the jamb cracks, sending a spray of splinters into the air and revealing a dark, ten foot wide hallway that goes forward about forty feet before opening into a well lit room beyond. The room is another fifty feet across with a large door recessed into a ten foot wide opening directly across from you. About twenty feet in front of the door and a little to the left, you can see an extremely lifelike stone statue of a man who looks like he's trying to shield himself from something. It's difficult to see anything else in the room from your vantage point at the end of the hall, but you can hear the louder of the two voices that Peter heard through the door saying, "I didn't know you were expecting company. Who do you think it is?"
"Shush!" says the other with annoyance. They seem to be on the right hand side of the room just out of view.
hearing that their arrival has been noticed, Peter tries his best to stick to the shadows, as far out of the direct line of the hallway as he can get without losing sight on the end of it, and nocks an arrow into his bow, waiting to see what happens, and ready to fire if something unpleasant begins.

The door is stuck fast and doesn't budge. It seems that someone will have to physically force it open.

The hinges are visible on your side of the door, so it opens inward towards you. Do you try to pull it open?
Muirgurn signals to the others to make ready, grasps the door and gives it a mighty heave.
Okay, make a Strength check, DC 15. On a failure, the room’s inhabitants will be made aware of your presence.
Calling upon Moradin's strength to aid him, Muigurn heaves on the door.

The unaccustomed weight of armour and shield has left the dwarf weakened. “Sorry”, he mouths sheepishly.
The door is very tight and moves just a little in its frame, making a loud cracking noise, and sticks again. One more heave should get it open the rest of the way. Do you continue until it opens?
After briefly considering waiting to see what the reaction to the noise is, Muirgurn elects action over hesitation and heaves again on the door.
