Aldrich has sheathed his scimitars and Peter is trying to hide, so I'll assume he conceals his coin, so the room plunges into darkness. Peter, make a Dexterity (Stealth) check.
To sum things up, Muirgurn is standing in front of the doorway he has just opened, Aldrich is a few steps behind him with his bow and arrow ready, Razil is off to the side of the room out of direct line of sight through the door, and Peter is hiding against the back wall of the room from where he can see down the hall, waiting to see what happens next.
You could try, but as is the case with any action, there's no guarantee that you'll be able to do so without something else happening in the meantime. Think about it this way: would your character know if he had time to cast two cantrips?
Seeing the statue, connecting some dots that might not even be there, Aldrich gets a little nervous. He pulls the arrow to his cheek, taking aim. He also prepares to target creatures comming within line of sight, but regardless of their action
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
You can begin casting and hold your spell as described, Muirgurn, just as Aldrich can have an arrow ready to shoot anyone he sees, but neither action will circumvent initiative if combat begins, just so we're on the same page.
Assuming no one else wants to do anything, you see a male human peek out from around the corner. He's about seventy feet away from you, wearing a chain shirt and a jeweled belt, encrusted with rubies that glow blood-red in the ambient light of the room. "Who's there?" he asks in a hostile tone, and then to the other person he says, "I can't see anyone, it's dark in there."
In a commanding voice, the other one says, "Who or what-ever they are, they're my enemies that have found me. Attack them!"
The man's hand goes to a sheathed rapier at his side, but he hesitates and says to the other, "I don't know. It seems kind of risky. I don't even know who they are."
Muirgurn would prefer to avoid bloodshed, specifically his own blood being shed, but - if Aldrich decides to loose his arrow - he won't lose sleep over nailing a couple of grave robbers. His concern would be fighting what could be a superior force in a weakened state. He is not the most charismatic of souls, but he is not completely without tact at persuasion (though any of the rest of the party might prove better negotiators).
At the moment, we appear to have an advantage - we outnumber them, whereas they do not know how many we are and are spooked. That could help in both combat and parlaying.
((ooc sorry for being a lil late on the post, but peter rolls a 10 for his stealth, and will hold an attack until negotiations break down or an obvious act of hostility takes place))
Hearing the people talk in that manner, Aldrich will step down from his plan and loosens the grip on his bow, but still ready to quickly redraw it. without turning from the possible enemy he says, quietly: what do we think about this? This person does not seem to be a battle ready combatant.

The sound of a dozen people's footsteps fills the room, and the man in the ruby belt says, "It sounds like there are a lot more of them," and he looks back to the other person with a confused look on his face.
The other voice says, "Didn't you hear the incantations? They're casting spells. The longer you wait to attack, the more of an advantage you give them. Now attack them already!" Charisma (Persuasion): 19
Aldrich now motions his companions to clear the area around the enterance.m, while he waits pressed against the wall just next to the entry way. If his companions clear the area, he will hold his action to charge amd grapple anything that comes through the door.
"I suppose you're right, friend," says the man to his unseen companion and turns toward you, his face setting into a grim expression as he draws a rapier that shines with an unnatural brightness in the torchlight and begins moving toward the door.
"Come out and fight," he says, "and stop hiding in the dark like a bunch of cowards! I'm not afraid of you!"
Peter can't roll as low as rapier man, so as far as I'm concerned everyone can go first. We'll still need an initiative check from Peter in case there's any conflicting action. Here's a map:
The "P" at the top is Peter. He can have been up to two squares to the left or one to the right and still seen down the hall, so it's fine to adjust position.
The rest of you can place yourselves anywhere in the darkened room you wish, on either side of the door or off to either side, whatever makes sense with what you've described.
I've masked off the brightly lit room to show only what you can see. The "F" is the man with the rapier, and the circle is the stone statue.

((I know roughly what I want to do but I want to double check a couple things first, 1: where I'm at is long range for my short bow, which will give me disadvantage, but does my concealment give me advantage to equal it out?? and 2: does peter think he could get into a better range, with the preferred range of his short bow being 80 feet, and still remain hidden by shadow?? or would he be close enough to the light that the man with the rapier could spot him??))

Does everyone wait a beat to see what happens?

Muirgurn will step back from the door so he is not an easy target for an arrow and make ready to cast sacred flame.
Ready action trigger: Any creature within sight taking a hostile action (an attack or spell) aimed at Muirgurn or his comrades.
