Hearing of the manor with the rest of the troops, Duncan goes to the man and asks "Tell us about the number and types of men hired up at the manor, then maybe we'll think about letting you leave."
The Redbrand takes a moment to think. “Hmm...on a rough guess I would say maybe around fifteen. Including the added muscle thanks to the Black Spider. Just simple folk like me y’know. That doesn’t include whatever lurks in the manor. I’ve heard rumors of some sort of an ‘eye beast,’ but haven’t actually seen it.” He shivers. “Scary stuff.”
Duncan nods, and begins to untie the man to let him go. ((Assuming no one needs more... but since no one else has posted in a day or so, that seems safe)) Once he’s untied Duncan says “If I see you up there I will not be so friendly next time. And take your friend here.” As he, not so gently nudges the man on the ground with his boot. He then turns to the group and says “So who’s up for cleaning up some of the towns riff riff? Sounds like a good start to the day.” Smiling, he’s clearly ready to put his skills to the test.
Vulmar shrugs, an oddly casual gesture for such a well-dressed, haughty elf.
"You all fight very well, but they'll just come back once we leave town. We should excise them competely. I suggest we set flame to their hideout and ambush them when they come crawling out."

"That sounds fun. We could make a giant bonfire!!!!" Kayassa says with a bright smile on her face, seeming to be excited despite the implications of what else they would be doing.
As the man stands to leave, waking his companion to take him out, and the others talk about setting the Manor on fire, Duncan adds to thugs “All the more reason for you two to not stick around.”He then grabs his bag, and watches the men leave, looking out the door to the street to see if there is anyone else out and around at this time of day.
Then looking back, shocked to see two of his new companions seemingly relish in the thought of inflicting death and pain thinking ‘evil undoing evil does not make good...’ Duncan solemnly says “Though I’ll not spare the blade to those who threaten me and mine, I’m not one to actively take pleasure in destruction,” Glancing at Kayassa, then over to Vulmar adding “nor feel that more good can be brought about by excising the perpetrators. Though they clearly cannot be left to their own devices. They will choose their own fates in open combat.”
“Whatever the plan is for remaining Redbrands, would it not make good sense to follow those two out of town to ensure they do not tell their friends about us? I’d rather not give them any warning or time to prepare.”Orro is looking very skeptically at the party, apologizes to Grista in dwarvish, asking where she thinks those two will go, and then, if no one else moves, he will track them out the door and rather obviously follow them. He assumes they are headed out of town and not to the rest of the Redbrands. If they do not he will start with sacred flame again.
There was something in Duncan's tone that did not sit well with Vulmar. The lecture was bringing him back to his monastery days, and the unpleasant memories that came with it.
"Honor is the privilege of the naive," Vulmar scoffs. "I saw just three of those brutes draw your blood. You now desire to march up to some fifteen of them, plus this 'eye beast' and give them a fair fight? Or do you think our job is done, that you can spank one like an errant child and trust them not to do bad again?"
The question hangs heavy in the air, but the elf doesn't wait for an answer. He notices Orro start to make his way out, shakes his head in frustration, and follows him.

Kayassa follows the rest out of the building, seeming to be in a fine mood. "If we don't want to fight them we could make Sildar or someone else get help."
“Let’s just go to the manor and try our best to fight off some ruffians.” Daphina suggests nervously glancing around her. She winces at flashbacks of fights with her brother that ultimately led to his capture. ‘We need to keep it together’ she thinks.
The Redbrand you just questioned, shakes his partner who slowly comes to consciousness. He groggily looks around at the group before scrambling up and following the other thug who is already quickly walking out of the tap house.
Orro, following the Redbrands, it does seem as though they were true to their word. Once the unconscious one catches up to the other one, they pause for a minute or two as they whisper and seem to fill each other in on the situation. After this, they tear off their telltale red cloaks, and make their way into Barthen’s Provisions. They come back out a couple minutes later with some supplies before walking down the main road and out the main road of Phandalin the way your party entered.
After some asking around, the group is able to find out that Tresendar Manor is just down the road past the Sleeping Giant up on a small hill. Sure enough, you follow the road and eventually before you stands Tresendar Manor. The manor is more a castle than a house. It has obviously seen some better days and looks weathered, but is seemingly abandoned from the outside.
"If I knew where they were at I could try to scare some of them out. If we can make those last to leave maybe we can do it to all of them." Kayassa says as she looks around the place a bit before turning to the others.
Duncan holds out his flint and sarcastically says “Still wanna burn it down?”
Then turning to Kay replies “scaring some out we be good. We could see their defenses in action.”Looking down to the gnome he adds “You’re quite quiet yeah? Do you think you could creep around and see if you see any signs of life?”
"Oh, I don't need your primitive tools" chuckles Vulmar in response to the sarcasm. "We can do a circuit of the place, identify and set fire to each door. If they don't come out, the smoke should get them - especially if the flame spreads to any interior furniture and timberwork If they do investigate, we will be waiting while they emerge, confused and blinded. Seems a better way to flush them out than sending one person in to make spooky noises."

“What if Gundren and other prisoners are in here? Or valuable things? Or evidence or clues or documents we’d want to read? Playing with fire seems a last resort to me, when the whole building could burn down. We could just go in quietly, look around, and hit anyone who hurts us, hard.” Orro says, looking warily at each member of the group.
"That's a reasonable point. The place looks well-built. I doubt the whole thing would go up, but I don't know how good old Gundren's lungs are."
Vulmar paces a bit.
"I think you're right, Orro. If they catch whiff of us, we put the captives at risk. Our best bet is to try to kill, ern, apprehend them without raising the alarm."

“That is a good plan.”Duncan nods in agreement. “Though I am not one for stealth myself, as one of my instructors often said ‘knowing is half the battle.’ The more we learn the better we can prepare.” He then adds with a grin, gripping his glaive “I will gladly help to ‘hit anyone who hurts you’.”
“I can sneak anywhere” Daphina boasts while she smirks. “Do we know anything about the place?” She continues while she pulls up her hood and prepares to sneak around.

Alright. It seems as though the party is ready to leave. Where would you like to go next? Straight to Tresendar Manor, or prepare first?
Let me know, then we can continue.
